I know the community is improving but Cameron and Izzy are by far the most wholesome vets on UA-cam. They explain their experiences in a way that those new to the military world will understand yet keep it entertaining enough to retain viewers who understand it all. On top of that preaching the benefits of taking care of each other and mental health. True icons.
I have to say: I love this series. Please never get rid of it. My wife and I like to keep prepared for any eventuality and watching these videos has helped immensely. I tried an MRE Star (Beef Stew, go figure) just to see if its tolerable, learn to cook it, etc. and you guys definitely made it so much easier for me when it comes to choosing what I put in my go-bag. I never miss a video from this channel because its entertaining but also educational. You guys are awesome! Keep up the great work!
I remember MRE chili being not great but not bad, but a cup of Wendy's chili is definitely tastier. The vegetarian MRE chili seemed to depend on if you got a good batch or not. The first time I tried it, the MREs were fresh with no metallic taste and weren't bad with some black pepper and Tabasco sauce. The second time I tried the vegetarian chili, the MREs must have been stored improperly because it did have that metallic taste and was inedible, IMO. Anyway good video guys. 🙂
Here’s an awesome little field recipe that’ll make almost anyone happy. Key lime pie: Vanilla pudding powder Lemon-lime drink mix powder Patriot sugar or chocolate chip cookie Mix together and enjoy 👍🏻

When I ate MREs the 1st thing I would try to get when I went back to real food was an apple bran muffin. B/c the MREs are hell on your digestive system.
Ranger School Cookbook? Yes, please! 😉 Anything that can teach the world about food… even if it’s all the stuff you shouldn’t eat, cuz that’s UA-cam for ya. 😁 Seriously though, I am all for getting smart about food. You really are what you eat; everything I have been through in life has taught me that. Counting calories, nutrients, and of course Cooking, it’s all part of the deal.
Remeber when I was a cadet(boy scouts) we use to go on FTX every once an year for three days and we will javelin mre for the three days. I personally really love it is like kinda suprise sometime you get something good something bad and you will trade sides with each other. Great video regardless
I thought Ranger School Cookbook things were common thing. You get stuff in your MRE that you not like so trade it with fellow soldiers for something you do like so then can combine with rest.
peanut butter and cheese sandwich.. actually one of my favourite creations when i did the FTX's (I was in Air Cadets in the program meant to graduate into actual air force.) Take the crackers (yes, I know.... they're dryer than the Senora.) Peanut butter on one, nacho cheese in the other smush em together and enjoy. bonus stupid idea which is actually good: dip it in hot chocolate.
We get beef jerky in our rations that are tougher than leather so you put the jerky in a drink pack, dump your Tabasco sauce in there and keep it in your pocket for a couple hrs and it’s the best jerky of your life
I've always wanted to join the U.S. Military, particularly the U.S. Army, but I have developed severe, very severe, scoliosis. Out of 180°, which is a perfectly straight spine, my spine is a double-S curve kyphoscoliosis with a total curve of 160°. It sucks man. I'm always in pain and I'm very self-conscious.
I wanted to know if considerations can be made for you if you are vegetarian and in the military, do they give you the vegetarian MRE or do you just have to make do with what you have? Love your show by the way 👌👌
Take the vanilla milkshake powder, mix it with the coco drink powder, add a small amount of water and cook inside your MRE heater for a make shift chocolate cake.
Oh yeah my parents used to make MRE bombs. All you do is get the chemicals out of the heater, put it into a plastic container, put in water, put lid on and wait for a loud ka boom.
I really enjoy watching you guys. Sometimes though the MRE you guys rate might actually mean Meals ready to EJECT. Has any meal gotten your 5 rating? Thanks guys. Love your channel.
While there's a certain charm to the way you boys just wing it, the OCD in me wants you to properly measure out the water to give these things a fighting chance lol. Also, apparently jail food and MRE's have a lot in common. For my first stint in jail I didn't shit for 17 days lol. Felt fine too. Within hours of getting out I hit up McDonalds for a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese. That flushed the ole system out in a matter of minutes lol.

Indonesian MRE
have you tried the modern US first strike rations? the freeze dried ones.
I’d love to see a rangers cook book, just mix and matching random mres.

Step 1. Use crayons
Step 2. Enjoy

The only thing I remember about Chili MRES is that my run time score improved by about three minutes running to the shitter lol.
Id love to see you guys mess around with Demo Ranch. Maybe "how many MRE's does it take to stop a bullet"
Cam: "we used to have this MRE draft...."
Israel: "chuckles in SF budget"
I would love to see “ Ranger School cook book” using parts form different MREs.
This was an amazing video!!! Props👍
I hope you never stop producing content

At this point I think we need Cam and Izzy on the food network with their own cooking show.
Amazing idea!
Random food questions. When you were deployed how often did you eat MRE’s? How often did you eat local food?
+1 for Ranger cookbook. Also how bout a measuring cup like the one you mentioned comes with your jetboil??? Get it together Cam!!!

They are indeed. Especially the cheese lol.
I refrain from calling it cheese. Yellow mystery jello. Gave me gas that would classify as a CWC violation.
Would love a Rangers cookbook episode!
I love Izzy's subtle little movie/music references, they don't go unnoticed by me 🤣🤣🤣 "THEREEEE SHEEEEE GOOOEEESSSS"
