I’m an Orthodox/Chabad/Lubavitch woman. I keep kosher, observe Shabbos (Jewish sabbath), cover my hair and dress modestly, AND I like makeup and fashion. Plus wigs mean no bad hair days 😊 I’m happy to answer any questions people may have asked you.
I too am orthodox jew, but not from chabad background..and obviously keep same Jewish laws, kosher, shabbos, modesty and covering hair, etc...its a good life, albight different than others 😀
I just found you about a month ago and I told my friends when we were at Temple on Sunday rehearsing for our Shabbat service so now you have 3 new Jewish lady followers (in our 50's). Everything you share is so relatable and the clothing you style is so wearable!! I've been enjoying my new red Tencel joggers (from Amazon) and I've never owned a pair of red pants in my life!!
Marnie - I have loved you for years and anticipate all of your videos. You are gorgeous, of course, but also so open, warm, intelligent, humble, approachable, funny, and empowering. You have a beautiful family, home, and seem so happy in your life, which is much deserved. Thank you for being our long-distance best friend!! 💕💕
Amen sister about marital intimacy!!! I just love you Marnie! You are the real deal. Also, as a Christian I have only the highest regard to our Jewish believers! Thank you again for being such a bright spot in my life! Xoxo
I just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago, and I am 54, an Empty-Nester (except for a boomerang kid,) and I got complacent during the pandemic, working from home full-time (no need to style your hair, get out of your pajamas, or put on "your face"--unless you are content with letting yourself go...) Your videos have rejuvenated my love for make-up and I am now making an effort to "put myself together" every day, not just on Sundays when we attend church and Mondays, when I have to go into the office! I LOVED your wisdom on approaching the role of "Stay at Home Mom" as a JOB, and if you are doing it right, it benefits your husband AND yourself (and, of course, your kids.) My Mom was a Stay-at-Home Mom, and she resented it. I was a Divorced Career Mom and I am still filled with guilt and regret and struggling to "shore up" relationships with my adult children to make up for all the times I was not there for them because of My Career. Also, one of my best friends is Jewish. I never would have known except she wears a beautiful Star of David necklace every day, passed down from generations, and I asked about it. We share the same first name, but pronounce it differently. We met in college, and she was a bridesmaid at my first wedding and she did a reading out of the Old Testament at my second wedding, 28 years later. Never once did her faith or my faith ever have a thing to do with our friendship, except to enrich it. She is a lovely person, and a great friend with great values. I seriously do not understand why anyone would be "anti-Semitic"? That's just stupid and ignorant.
I like these videos. I really enjoy how proud Texans are of their state. You don't see that in other states. My husband and I spend the winter in warmer states. We decided to give Texas a try this year. Pretty happy we did and that Gov Abbott won. Need to keep Texas safe.
Great video, Marnie. I live in the most Jewish suburb in Melbourne, Australia. We also have the highest population of Holocaust survivors. I feel very very anxious about the rise of more "public" displays of antisemitism. This is how it began in 1930's Berlin.
You got me hooked on Walmart clothes. I would have NEVER even looked at them, but seeing your outfits I started checking it out. The Scoop line (especially pants) fit me perfectly! My faux leather Scoop pants cost $20 and they look way more. Mix up your fashion. My current outfit is those Walmart pants with Stuart Weitzman booties, cashmere sweater and real gold jewelry. Great chat!
As a SC Lowcountry resident, and a born and raised South Carolinian, gotta tell ya, we don't think of Texas as being in the south, it's the west, the southwest, but not a southern state. And yes, the porch/house analogy is pretty spot on unless you're a fellow southerner and they know your people. Enjoy your videos. Handsome sons! I have a 2012 Fiat 500c now, I love it! My first car was an MG Midget with a roll bar and a Triumph Spitfire racing motor, it was a fun car when it was running. Menopause weight gain sucks. Get ready. Ugh. And good luck
You need to come visit east Texas-I think y’all would definitely claim that part of Texas as the south! Texas is some sort of weird in between place and I’m here for it!
I've been watching you since I think you had 10,000 subscribers!!! Its been fun watching you age right along me (I'm 50), watching your kids grow up and being witness through here to your thriving marriage. Thank you for sharing with us!! I look forward to hearing how you are navigating aging, beautifully I may add, but how you deal with what we at this age are beginning to deal with. Thanks again Marnie!
As a lifelong South Georgia resident, I 100% agree with your assessment of Southern hospitality. 😂 Although, in our defense, if you DO make it off the porch and in the door, we will absolutely NOT accept your polite refusal to eat, and we will feed you starchy side dishes, biscuits, and banana pudding until you NEVER want to visit again. 😂😂
Happy Veteran's Day to your husband and family. Please thank him for his service. My brother lives in San Antonio and my best friend lives in Seguin. I'm a Univ of TX graduate. Hook 'em
Marnie, I so appreciate your responses about you and your husband. Said politely and tactfully. Love watching your channel! Have you shown your nighttime makeup removal routine?
I’ve been following you for a long time and I enjoy these videos where you chat and do your makeup. I agree with you about Faster Way. I can’t be on a program where I’m constantly spending time preparing food and tracking every bite I eat. It’s not something I could sustain, so I didn’t stay on the program. I was a stay at home mom also and I totally agree with your answer regarding treating it as your job and finding things that you enjoy doing and spending time with other adults. Great job on the video and you’re the most professional influencer I enjoy following.
You'll love Ireland. My husband is from Kerry, so we visit there often. The Irish are very friendly, the scenery is beautiful and you can have 4 seasons in one day! :)
Hello from Lincolnshire! Love the advice on motherhood. ❤️ Would like to add, try to enjoy the toddler/young child years as much as you can. You won’t realize until they are about to leave the nest just how fast those years go. 😢
Hi Marnie, I really enjoyed watching you put your makeup on and answer questions. I have watched you now for probably eight years but it's always fun to learn something new about you. I love your new Lexus! Have a great weekend!
I am new to your channel and love to hearing about some of your background. I think it gives the listener an insight as to what goes in to your videos and how you present yourself. Thanks for all the great videos.
Thanks for sharing! My niece just moved to San Antonio at the beginning of November. She recently left the military (Seattle) and moved there to work in her own practice, I hope to visit there one day!
Hi Marnie, I enjoyed your Q&A video. I was also a stay at home mom. I agree with you that it is like a job--a lovely, wonderful job. Every morning I would get up, get ready for my busy day by putting a little make up before my son woke up. When he got ill and I homeschooled him it was a lot of work, but I loved the time we spent together. When he went to college I missed our homeschooling days. Anyway, thank you for a fun Q&A. xo Karen
Also a stay at home mom and it is the hardest but most rewarding job !! I love the way you stated it Marnie, and it’s so true. And my husband always said the same thing to me! Have a great weekend. 😊
I agree with your on point assessment of "Southern Hospitality". It can be VERY clicky which I do not like. Also love your honesty about buying or wearing Walmart clothes. I think they really try to have decent quality and trendy pieces for price you pay. It's all about budget Baby!
It’s seriously crazy listening to your story, my husband and I grew up in St. Louis, moved to Texas and have been here for years. As a SAHM I was volunteering alllll the time. Now our daughter who just had our grandson this summer are in Houston, so we are at that point of wondering where to go. We have 2 other kids in Texas, one in Lubbock where we live plus one in Wichita Falls. You are very relatable!
Fun to watch your video! You’re a busy gal! Ask you anything? Could you do a slower video tutorial on how u do your make up?❤you look so pretty before you even start, but …..especially your eyes…and the “ sculpting” around your face. I should’ve looked down below bec maybe u explained, but your end result looks so good too and u make it look easy.👍
I really need to do that! I may do a series over on Instagram of just one part of my makeup at a time. Then save them as a series so you can always go back and see them.
Thank you for mentioning volunteering and listing examples of your volunteer efforts. I have volunteered my whole adult life - including while I was raising children. Sooooooo many other women would not even consider it as they felt too tired or felt they didn’t have the time. I found it mentally stimulating and physically energizing and still do to this day. Sometimes I wonder if those who did not get involved in their community have regrets.
I admire your openness and honesty. I live in the far western suburbs, Winfield, right now. Watching you apply your make-up, I now understand why I stopped wearing it. It looks like a lot of work.
I wasn’t born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could! We are retired and can live anywhere we want and choose to stay in Texas. Our 12 grandchildren are all out of state and we are staying in Texas.
Your makeup came beautiful and thank you for sharing. I find your life so interesting. After this video, one came up of you and Michael from 7 years ago. You too are adorable together.
Thanks for being "real". I honestly can't say that about many UA-camrs. I find living in Texas to be very interesting. Having no state income tax is great but the property tax and sales tax eat into the income tax saving. I enjoyed last winter but this past summer was so freaking hot that I thought I would melt. I agree that Texans are proud of their state and are friendly. We are also empty nesters which we have adjusted to.
I love these videos Marnie. I agree wirh keeping tbe spark in the marriage. We are in our 60s, married 45 yrs and our fun time is the best it's ever been!
Hi Marnie, I love your channel on UA-cam, and Instagram thank you for being such a wonderful role model. I have learned so much from you!!! I am heading to a very hot tropical location for 10 days. I am like you very fair skinned and am very careful with sun exposure as best as possible. I want to try a sunless tanner. Please share your favorites hopefully not to hard to use and will work fairly well in very hot humid weather. I appreciate everything i have learned from you. Also your favorite tolietry bag. I know you have talked about these things before but don't know how to quickly find them with in all your wonderful content. Thank you so much! 💘
Great video Marnie! You are spot on with very real life topics. As a Christian I see the world is turning from God. Thank you for addressing the anti religious environment especially in the US. I always found it ironic there are words for anti Jews, anti Islam, but no word for anti Christians. Please do more of these videos! TGIF ❤
I used to shop at Northbrook Court on my lunch hour and grab a salad from Anton’s on Skokie Blvd-discovered you on you tube and wanted to say thanks for all the suggestions-as an empty nest boy mom I forgot what it was like to be girly and your channel has helped me remember !😊😊
Thank you, Marnie, always very practical, and injected with realistic perspectives and humor on the most challenging topics. Go to Ireland, and go to Cork, where I am from - you'll love it. If you need recommendations for anything.....
I just found your channel a little while ago. I love your honesty. I was a stay at home mom, years ago. I was in the pto at my daughters schools. It gives you something to do. I lost touch with the other mom’s when my kids got older. One mom, in particular was a friend. But we moved and I lost touch. My husband’s cousin ended up marrying into her family. And it was her sister in law who told me she passed away. She was diabetic and didn’t really take care of herself. That upset me. Because her kids were the same age as my kids. Now I’m a grandma and next year I will be a great grandma. I just found that out by accident. But I lived in Ohio for 59 years. My daughter who has a lot of kids moved to Georgia three years before us. I hated the weather in Ohio. So I talked my husband into moving to Georgia. We’ve been here for two and a half years and I love it. We live in a small town out in the country. It’s quiet. We only have one neighbor close, and he’s close to 80. He doesn’t bother us. But what you said about the south is true. And my husband heard a woman, at the grocery, say “ we take care of our own”. And we have found out that’s so true. People are nice, but they don’t really go out of their way for you.
I love watching your videos! You are very helpful and you have great taste! You have opened my eyes up to maybe try a few new things from Walmart. I haven't ever purchased clothes or shoes from Walmart and I must say, you make them look amazing! Your make up looks fantastic! I'm not sure I can remember all the steps.
Did the exact same thing when my kids were young. I became a stay at home mom. We run our own business and it is not lost on my husband that with me taking on the at home parent responsibility’s that it helped our business grow and be successful. And at this point my kids are grown. I needed adult Interaction when I was home with young kids. Found a local Moms group. With park outings , museums, play group etc for the kids. And mom activities at times at night. The women that I became closest with then and met through the group remain my best friends today.
So enjoyed hearing more about your life. I’ve been with you longer than I can remember. I found your channel sometime when we lived in VA. Been in FL over 10 years now. Time sure fly’s by. Have a great weekend Marnie😘
Marnie, it is just such a comfort to drink tea and see your vlogs! Thanks so much for your time and your honesty. I so relate to you as we are going through similar life situations and 2 golden retrievers, same aged kiddos etc. and from midwest...and also love of fashion and even though I wear bare minimum of makeup (I always think, "I will just watch Marnie to learn what I need for this wedding makeup, lol!). And I don't get bored even watching the makeup tutorials because it's you and you are a cozy hygge youtube respite in the midst of a very busy life!. Lastly I appreciate you speaking of your faith. Yes anti-semitism and hatred have been here since the very beginning, biblically, and biblically it has been prophesied it would be so. God does exist and this is proof or there would not be such hatred. Prayers, love and hugs this lovely autumn.
Thank you for sharing more about yourself Marnie! I love how you do these sorts of videos as it allows us to get to know you better. ❤️ I especially love the topic on being a stay at home mom as that is what I am now. I found your tips to be extremely helpful.
I loved this, Marnie! The make up, the revelations, so great! Having lived a chunk of time in Houston, Texas could truly succeed and do just fine on it’s own. You explained the personality of the people perfectly. When we moved to Houston, there were two bumper stickers - Native Texan and Naturalized Texan. LOL Have a great weekend!❤
I have always worked, my mom did too and my mother in law never worked with children. If we are all honest; the stay at home mom has it much easier than the working mom. Those are the facts. I pray that when my daughter Kennedy gets married that she is privileged to choose to work and not to have to work. God willing! Also having said that I am so grateful to go back to work as a substitute teacher. I love being with children and I love being able to spend the week in Colorado with my daughter this week.If I didn't substitute I wouldn't be able to have that choose. Empty nesting can be lonely when my husband is running a company and working a ton to pay the bills. I pray one day that all women support all women!! No matter if they are in the same boat or not. Good share Marnie.
Love this type of video… we share many similarities… I am also Jewish and recently joined an reconstruction synagogue. My husband and I are retired and empty nesters and we’re looking for a community of people that didn’t question why and what we believe in.. also I was a stay at home mom for 12 years which I cherished those times with my kids and finally do love my Walmart finds .. I love being stylish and get numerous compliments on my walmart clothes! Again always enjoy your videos and look forward to when they post
Fellow Illinois girl here - you did what I just couldn't do - move to Texas! :) Always wanted to live in San Antonio, but all of our family is here so we stay. Thanks for sharing so much!
Loved this video. You were one of the first channels I found years ago when I first learned watching youtube videos was a thing. I had never really been into makeup, but at 40ish, I decided to try to learn a thing or two about it and landed on your channel. Now, I am almost 51. I agree with volunteering. I have always worked part-time in medicine, but I was a semi-professional (haha) school volunteer parent for years and met a lot of friends that way. Now my kids are older teens and we volunteer together our in the community. My favorite is dog walking at our local shelter. I LOVE it.
Marnie, I love your candor. I grew up in NYC with many Jewish friends, but I appreciate you talking about your Jewish faith. Anti-semitism hurts my heart, and more non-Jews need to stand with the Jewish community...l'chaim! xoxo
I am new to your channel and love your outlook and realness. I am a young mom of 2 (my youngest just turned one month old!) and love gaining wisdom through your experience.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I'm Watching Alabama and Ole Miss playing their hearts out🤗Poor Saban😭Auburn is getting a new coach thank goodness💕Love your hair and makeup. Sending love from Alabama💕
Our oldest daughter and family past year presently live in a Jewish community. Once or twice a week they see families walking in their hair/hat traditional attire. Don’t know much about it ….. but cute the families stay together. Really scary and unsafe issue since they’ve been renting house, they have received hate signs/graffiti in heir yard. As I’ve said, it’s a Jewish community and several restaurants which they have really enjoyed…… and myself also when it’s just dtr and I and granddaughter now too! Only thing is they are now moving to Phoenix, AZ before Christmas! Thank you for sharing!
Hi! I just found your channel a couple of days ago! I love your videos and have been binge watching them which means that I got to learn a lot about you with this one. My husband and I are recent empty nesters too and the best part of it is that it allows for greater intimacy. Last year we had 2 of our 4 kids still living at home and hubby was always cranky because we couldn’t be intimate when he wanted but that’s no longer a problem and it’s done wonders for the relationship.
Hi Marnie, I love your channel, especially when you talk about being Jewish and celebrating your heritage! I'd like to comment on your discussion of Orthodox Jews. Not all Orthodox are either Chasidish or Lebavitch, I'm Ashkenazic . We cover our hair after marriage with styled, beautiful wigs, hats, scarfs and also enjoy makeup and fashion. And that wouldn't mean we are "Ultra" Orthodox. There are many different levels of observance and I try not to categorize anyone. We are all Jews and proud of it! You're wearing a beautiful Magan David (Star of David). Can you recommend another pretty one that doesn't cost $500? :) Thanks!
Great look you did today. I shop at Walmart too, find some great things. Two of our Nordstroms out here in So California have closed, so online shopping for me, I do miss the stores. Thanks for the video
I've lost 13 lbs on intermittent fasting. I started last March and lost it in a healthy way. I think I lost 4 lbs per month. I find it easy to do. I don't eat in the morning until 9:30am or 10:00am. I have a Premiere protein drink for breakfast. I have another one for lunch and do pretty healthy snacks in between. I heat popcorn, fruit and a few almonds. I eat pretty much whatever I want for dinner, within reason. I don't eat after 7:00pm. Drink 3-4 bottles of water daily (should drink more but...). I have a slice of cake every now and then. My guilty pleasure is Reese's peanut butter cups. I have 2 mini daily.
Wonderful to hear about life. You are so radiantly beautiful and it sounds like you have that beauty inside and out. I bet that you have great genes, or a good camera filter. I am almost 70 and the past 10 years have taken a toll on my skin (like I look in the mirror and just can’t believe what is looking back at me 😕) Stay beautiful and fashionable 🤩
As always very interesting and entertaining (yes I said it "entertaining ") content. I love watching your videos because they are all a little different and relatable to everyone. I met you once in person by chance and I can attest you are very polite, kind and honest. You are exactly as you are on your channel. I wish you always the very best and know you do make a difference . Thank you for your time and dedication.

I’m a Seventh Day Adventist, so I’m observing Sabbath right now❤️👍
and I follow the clean and unclean meats laws in the Old Testament.💕
Thank you 😊 💓. I would love to learn more about the Jewish culture. Thank you for sharing!
The only thing you missed about your life is that you are the kindest and most authentic person on UA-cam. Thank you for being such a bright light 💖
AWWW!! Thank you so much Kathy!

You’re always so eloquent. Truly a smart young lady. Thank you for expanding my knowledge from makeup to religion.
You answered all the questions very eloquently! Thank you for sharing.

I can't wait to visit!
S.E. NC here and it's soooo true, lol♥️
Great talk Marnie, I’ve always appreciated your transparency. I really like that you did your makeup while you talked too.
I love these story time videos! You are so down to earth, it’s like chatting with a friend❤
You are so precious. Thank you for sharing part of your life with us!

So cool!

It’s fun!!
I wasn’t born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could! We are retired and can live anywhere we want and choose to stay in Texas. Our 12 grandchildren are all out of state and we are staying in Texas.
I’m 61 years young and 💯 agree with you on the marital intimacy subject. crabbiness kicks in when “bedroom time” is low. Lol. Thanks❤😂
Well said!
We just went to Ireland in October; I would definitely encourage you to go!! It’s so lovely, so charming!!! 😍
Thank you for the comments on marital intimacy! I have young twins and I’ve come to realize how key it is for our marriage and my sanity!
I love these videos Marnie. I agree wirh keeping tbe spark in the marriage. We are in our 60s, married 45 yrs and our fun time is the best it's ever been!
Love that!
Hi Marnie,
I love your channel on UA-cam, and Instagram thank you for being such a wonderful role model.
💘
Thanks for answering my question ☺️ - and lots of good ones. Make up turned out great too 😁👍
OMG, I’m from Chicago, went to U of I & my husband & I raised our kids in Deerfield. Now we’re retired & living downtown. What a small world!
Happy Veteran's Day and thank you to your husband! I love hearing your stories!
You should try some clothes from Walmart-they really have stepped up their game! I’m going to do a makeup tutorial with just the basics very soon!
Did the exact same thing when my kids were young. I became a stay at home mom. We run our own business and it is not lost on my husband that with me taking on the at home parent responsibility’s that it helped our business grow and be successful. And at this point my kids are grown. I needed adult
Interaction when I was home with young kids. Found a local
Moms group.
That is awesome! Thanks for watching for so long!!
Just stumbled across this one and enjoyed hearing about your life. Love your UA-cam channel and your style!
Really enjoyed how candid you are. I am a travel advisor and I highly recommend Ireland. If you have any questions or need help, let me know.
Awesome, thank you!
So true about the marital tip. Also unfortunately too many women’s get to into their kids life and abandon the husband.
I just went through Wilmette. We stopped at the Baha’i house of worship. It was spectacular.
Isn’t that an amazing property?
Fellow Illinois girl here - you did what I just couldn't do - move to Texas! :) Always wanted to live in San Antonio, but all of our family is here so we stay. Thanks for sharing so much!
Maybe you could convince your family to come too! Great state to retire!
@@MsGoldgirl We have discussed it!! :) Got a few years until retirement, but I've heard great things about living in Texas!
😂😂 that’s so funny. I feel the same way about whenever my kids end up to be specially if we have grandkids.
Holy cow! Lots of makeup! You look great without all of that makeup… I do appreciate your candor.
I'm a Catholic and we Catholics are with the Jews 100%. ✝️♥️🙏👍
Anti-semitism hurts my heart, and more non-Jews need to stand with the Jewish community...l'chaim! xoxo
Loved this, Marnie! Thank you for sharing with us! ❤
You will love Ireland! At least we did! It is beautiful 😍
I hope so!
I just love your content. I have been watching for a while now. Turning 40 this May!!! -Spring, Texas
I am new to your channel and love your outlook and realness. I am a young mom of 2 (my youngest just turned one month old!) and love gaining wisdom through your experience.
Thanks for subbing!
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I'm
Watching Alabama and Ole Miss playing their hearts out🤗Poor Saban😭Auburn is getting a new coach thank goodness💕Love your hair and makeup. Sending love from Alabama💕
It did not end the way we hoped…😩
The draw my life video was one of the first videos I ever watched of yours!
Enjoyed putting on makeup together🥰
So glad!
Great video, as usual! 💖Looking forward to the next one. Addressing anxiety and “real life” issues would be appreciated 😅
Love this. Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome!
This was alot of fun. Thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
:) Thanks!
What was the setting spray that you used?
Great look you did today. I shop at Walmart too, find some great things. Two of our Nordstroms out here in So California have closed, so online shopping for me, I do miss the stores. Thanks for the video
I’ve become an avid Walmart shopper.. I’ve found lots of great pieces that I wear regularly that I love!
Loved the video Marnie! Thank you ♥️
What brushes did u use for eye application, I can’t find the info.
All from BK Beauty!
@@kristinj7173 Until Marnie mentioned it I had never heard of FW2FL. I'm just doing my own intermittent fasting.
@@katemiller7874 Yay! That's great!! Did you ever plateau? I can't seem to break through a certain weight.
Cabby wait for this fallow up video. Always love your personal videos. ❤
Coming soon!
I do appreciate your honesty 👍👍
Just love the way you do these question answer videos!
Glad you like them!
Great video. As I was listening to you, I was struck by how much you echo Dr. Laura. You should collaborate on a video or podcast with her!
That would be so much fun-but I will admit I’m slightly terrified of her!
Love you Marnie! You are Real! Evie Australia
Marie, would you please tell me what camera you use and the lighting? Do you use a specific Lightbox? It's soooo pretty. Thanks from Dallas!
Love your channel! Thanks for sharing! I-L-L !!!
Wonderful to hear about life.
You are so radiantly beautiful and it sounds like you have that beauty inside and out.
I bet that you have great genes, or a good camera filter.
I am almost 70 and the past 10 years have taken a toll on my skin (like I look in the mirror and just can’t believe what is looking back at me 😕)
Stay beautiful and fashionable 🤩
No filters-it’s all the real deal.
That was fun...thanks for sharing 💖
As always very interesting and entertaining (yes I said it "entertaining ")
content. I love watching your videos because they are all a little different and relatable to everyone.
I met you once in person by chance and I can attest you are very polite, kind and honest. You are exactly as you are on your channel. I wish you always the very best and know you do make a difference . Thank you for your time and dedication.
Thank you Evelyn!! I remember meeting you and it made my day!
I so admire you and this was helpful!
Thanks for being you! You are my favorite friend I’ve never met!
Wow, thank you!
