I don't understand the purpose of TTI combat. Why would you want to use the TTI in USPSA competition. This puts you in Open division. Not a good place to be shooting Minor PF. Thanks for sharing.

One question: Why you would go for the TTI when the groups where way better with the Rival-S ? Will be my first gun and I can’t decide whether it should be TTI or Rivals-S.
It’s very hard to make any real fair comparison when you have different red dots and a pistol with the heavier brass wrap adding to stability. TTI has a built in compensator. So every gun should have a compensator added, then talk about price difference. You can compare stock guns but talk about what is included/stats and the associated price. METE SFT is roughly 500 TTI is more than doubpe that. This should all be discussed in a comparison video.
@gbgunsmedia True and that further breakdown could be said in this video as, "if your interested in a further breakdown/review see pinned videos etc, but a quick price in text when each firearm is shown would help and a quick note on compensators would only add 10 or less seconds. It's just a recommendation if your going to have a comparison video. Viewers don't need all the specs but the basics are very helpful, especially price, ammo used, optics used etc. Just my two cents. You would get grief comparing a ford focus to a fully loaded mustang. Firearms are no different.
@@gbgunsmedia Not sure why, but you sound defensive. Your points are not serving any purpose. The TTI will always be more expensive than the base model METE SFT. And I'm not your viewer I'm new to your channel, in fact this was my first video on your channel. I'm giving input that I see other very successful channels already implement. You do you though God speed 🙏🏼
I have the Rival and the Mete SFX. In my opinion both guns are accurate and have outstanding triggers. However, the Rivals trigger is a little better causing it to have a tighter shot group.
So is the conclusion that if you already have a sfx rival there’s not really a point in spending a 1000 on a gun that’s not much different? because to me the tti looks like a rival just different color and it has a comp not worth the 1000 when there’s other pistols out there
I have a rival and the TTI. I ended up selling my rival sfx because the tti is that much better. Way better holster, trigger is even better, stipple job and sights are better
I have all models of Canik with a couple doubles. I would go Rival all day. Rival S is great but is finicky. I reamed the barrel, lightened the recoil and striker spring, strengthened the extra, lightened the trigger and plunger springs. Runs great now but have $1,750 in it with the optic and grip. Can go all in on the Rival for $1,150. TTI is fine but not necessarily worth overpaying or moving into a tougher competition class due to built in comp. For honesty, I did the extractor, trigger and recoil springs on the rival as well to make it run great.
@@MA-zh1oc the grip texture alone on the TTI makes it worth it… one downside to caniks are they are slippy as fuck especially the steel frame. Also the sights are better on the TTI as well as the trigger.
Just bought a TTI couple weeks ago it shoots fantastically the trigger is the best I've ever used outside custom right out the case if your a collector or enthusiasts I highly recommend picking one up before it raises in price definitely one of the best handguns in general I've ever fired.
I think the break is better, and the reset quicker. So, if you're looking for that..... Also, no point in spending 1k either. You can find them around $850.
Let’s be real, steel frame overall because if you’re buying a full length you’re gonna use it as your race gun! I also added the brass recoil rod and reduced recoil spring and wow does my Rival S shoot like a 3k race gun
You mentioned you're in Oregon, where did you find this firearm? Im in WA and trying to find it. Although i may wait and see if they come out with a black version.
this is the third video of yours I have watched and I am wondering why you do not turn on the delay in your Pact timer -- you just say it does not have one, which I believe they all do (at least the 2 I have do) ?
I haven't needed it yet. I don't care about time to first shot as this wasn't a draw-to-shot drill, I was looking to test recoil management among the guns.
I use Blazer and Monarch Blazer says not to use in ported barrels Monarch says not to use in twisted barrels This TTi Combat is both so i cant use either one.
Can you tell me what footprint the TTI Combat has? I'm trying to find an optic adapter for an Acro/Steiner red dot. I have a TTII Combat coming in and I want to slap a Steiner optic on there as quick as possible but I can't find any information on where to get a plate for the optic.
In your opinion, is the TTI combat really a that big of a difference/worth buying another pistol just because its the latest for someone who already owns a SFX Rival for the average gun owner with limited budget??
That's ultimately up to you and your needs. Can it possibly help the average shooter shoot quicker? Yes. Is it better than spending $1k on some quality training? I don't think any gun is better than quality training. On the main channel you've seen me shoot quickly and accurately with all sorts of guns from $200 to over $4000. While some guns make it easier to do that, it's the 50+ days of training I've spent at various schools and courses that have enabled me to do that.
@@gbgunsmedia Great advice, would love to see a dedicated video about training and the biggest takeaways you learned from the experience that helped you the most. Also where we can find similar training courses on our own. Thanks again great answer
I was looking to get the TTI, but the comp just doesn't seem to comp as much as I'd want. So, I got the rival S. And let me help anyone trying to decide. For now, you can't get a TTI at the same price as the S. And the S is a flat shooter. Definitely not going to feel the recoil impulse of the TTI. To further help, make sure you get the version that includes the optic and the magwell. And don't pay more than $1k!
Although both competition oriented. The Rival isn assembly-line striker fired gun and X-Calibur is a fitted hammer-fired gun. They do the same job, but the spirit is different. Both are very comfortable, very accurate, and easy to shoot well. I lean towards the X-Cal but that's probably becuse I've had a lot more trigger time with a Grand Power and prefer the crisper hammer-fired trigger.
I can't recall any magazine issues, but I'm also not one to unnecesarrily smack magazines when I insert them. I push it in until it clicks, it's that simple to avoid over-insertion.
That’s the only thing I don’t like about my rival. The slide mass is like a bowling ball hitting pins every time u pull the trigger. They need to redesign the slides they would shoot a lot better and flatter.
That TTI is going for $300 over MSRP. Put a comp on the steel frame and its over plus cheaper than the TTI considering what dealers are charging for the TTI.
Great comparison! Obviously the Rival S being the steadiest because of the weight. Not the fastest, but perhaps had you tried the best out of 3 tries each, that might have been different. The true test is what will the gun be used for? Everyday carry or competition? Different choices for different uses, but the TTI performed spectacularly across the board (even with pollen) and is the clear leader. Not surprisingly since its heritage is from Taran Tactical.
Manually (sorry, I couldn't resist the word play). There were some in stock as of when I published the reivew two weeks ago: www.gbgunsdepot.com/post/canik-tti-combat
The fairest thing to say is that all gun upgrades are a diminishing return. Learning to shoot, experience and training is still first. All gun upgrades while some nice, some helpful, none truly provide significant performance. if you're not shooting faster transitions or tighter groups. It's all money on hype.
Yes, I think some upgrades help shooters compensate for lack fo skill (easier triggers, dots, etc), but ultimately higher skill will produce better results with any gun, and that's when those upgrades can provide split-second edges in competition.

@Purplethoughts8 this video is part of an article that has all of that as well as full reviews of each firearm with full specs. See pinned comment.
@@Purplethoughts8 prices change, videos do not. Most of my viewers know that few of my videos are stand alone
@Purplethoughts8 Thanks, I don't mimic other channels because I'm not here for fame or money. I use UA-cam to visually augment real reviews.
I hope the TTI will come out in an S version
That Rival S with the brass grips! Wow! What a nice upper grouping on it.
Heavy gun didn't move much under recoil, making it easy to get back on target.
I always link to sources. See pinned comment.
I wished you would have the combat elite in there.
How did the executive combat not make the comparison
Because it's a different size class.
this is the third video of yours I have watched and I am wondering why you do not turn on the delay in your Pact timer -- you just say it does not have one, which I believe they all do (at least the 2 I have do) ?
I haven't needed it yet. I don't care about time to first shot as this wasn't a draw-to-shot drill, I was looking to test recoil management among the guns.
What ammo did you use on that ported barrel TTi combat ?
Same ammo for all four guns, weak Fiocchi 9AP
@@gbgunsmedia lots of ammo say NOT to use with ported OR twisted barrels, thats why i ask.
I use Blazer and Monarch
Blazer says not to use in ported barrels
Monarch says not to use in twisted barrels
This TTi Combat is both so i cant use either one.
Does the Mecanik M01 fit on the TTi??? Because I just ordered it
Can you tell me what footprint the TTI Combat has? I'm trying to find an optic adapter for an Acro/Steiner red dot. I have a TTII Combat coming in and I want to slap a Steiner optic on there as quick as possible but I can't find any information on where to get a plate for the optic.
The TTI COmbat comes with three plates, but not an Acro plate.
A better comparison for the TTI Combat would be the METE SFT Pro. That’s what I want to see, if the TTI is worth the additional price tag or not
"worth" is up to you, but have you read the full review?
@@gbgunsmedia fair enough, I have not. Where can it be found?
Do you think canik will come out with a TYI S?
Wouldn't that be sweet?
I have the Rival Darkside and see nothing here to make me change. 😊
Kinda chomping at the bit to get the TTI combat.
They should be out next week. I hav elinked to some sources here: www.gbgunsdepot.com/post/canik-tti-combat
I pre ordered on myself. I can't wait!!
A lot are
I can't find them
@@texicano_fxdls3411battlehawk armory has them In stock
Thanks for the video sir! Anyone that doesn't want their coin hollar at me! My wife collects coins and wants 2. lol
How would you compare the rival s to the Excalibur CO?
Although both competition oriented. The Rival isn assembly-line striker fired gun and X-Calibur is a fitted hammer-fired gun. They do the same job, but the spirit is different. Both are very comfortable, very accurate, and easy to shoot well. I lean towards the X-Cal but that's probably becuse I've had a lot more trigger time with a Grand Power and prefer the crisper hammer-fired trigger.
Can you put the TTI upper on the Rival steel frame?
I made an IG post about that
No. It won’t function.
Can you put the TTI slide on the rival??
Curious, will the TTI top fit on the steel frame?
No, I made an Instagram post about that because so many were asking.
Both Rivals had the best groupings so definitely couldv'e shot a little faster and still got all alpha's like the TTI.
shot a tighter group with the rival with threaded barrel than the TTI 😂 might just keep my rival she's upgraded too lol
I want to get a canik rival s. however, keep hearing about all the magazine issues. your thoughts?
I can't recall any magazine issues, but I'm also not one to unnecesarrily smack magazines when I insert them. I push it in until it clicks, it's that simple to avoid over-insertion.
The only magazine issues I've ever had with any mags was from the Canik MC9. I've ran Canik at all but one training course over 5 years.
I bought a Canik Mete SFT to use for controlling things I may choose to control. I agree, that's a good role for it.
That’s the only thing I don’t like about my rival. The slide mass is like a bowling ball hitting pins every time u pull the trigger. They need to redesign the slides they would shoot a lot better and flatter.
Here's a comparison of slide mass: www.gbgunsdepot.com/post/canik-tti-combat
That TTI is going for $300 over MSRP. Put a comp on the steel frame and its over plus cheaper than the TTI considering what dealers are charging for the TTI.
Wish Canik would make a .40 cal.
Thanks for an excellent video
They do, unfortunately it wasn’t released in America
Will the TTI upper fit on the steel frame?
No unfortunately.
That timer does in fact have a delay.
Yes, I just couldn't remember how to set it up when I filmed this. I'm not a drill junkie so I don't have all the ins and outs of the timer memorized.
Have both in polymer frames tti is the jewel sfx rival is a very close second
Love my rival-s. The comp on the TTI puts it into open division so it's a hard pass for me. Looks cool though.
results - get them all like we do with other brands
I'm torn between the TTI and S.
Let's get ready to Ruuuuuuuummmmbbbllleee
Great comparison! Obviously the Rival S being the steadiest because of the weight. Not the fastest, but perhaps had you tried the best out of 3 tries each, that might have been different. The true test is what will the gun be used for? Everyday carry or competition? Different choices for different uses, but the TTI performed spectacularly across the board (even with pollen) and is the clear leader. Not surprisingly since its heritage is from Taran Tactical.
Yes, the RIval-S kinda just laid in my hands, it also had my personal preference of dot on it.
I have the rival sfx poly and steel. I personally shot the steel fastest of the two
I'm still edc tp9 sfx
How is everyone getting their hands on these
Manually (sorry, I couldn't resist the word play). There were some in stock as of when I published the reivew two weeks ago: www.gbgunsdepot.com/post/canik-tti-combat
How did I miss this one
This is the secret second channel which is even MORE hidden than the main channel
I wish Canik just released a comp for the Rival. I won’t have anything to do with Taran. 🤢
Rival-S is the best
