Girlll, SO sorry for the late reply. I decided to go through and reply to all comments so here we are. 😅 We've had plenty of time to finish all the older pieces. 🤣
I'm the one who sent you the photo of the top I made for my daughter on ig. While I was doing the top, I was actually thinking of making a skirt for it too. Maybe with this pattern and I'll put lacing at the bottom the same with that top I made. 😍 Can't wait!!
Thank you so so so so SO much for this ive been wanting to make a skirt but don’t know how I could understand this tutorial perfectly and now I’m just waiting to get yarn to be able to finish my skirt! Edit:Today(November 16th) i got the rest of the yarn needed to make my skirt so I just gotta finish it now!
Great tutorial love it! Clear instructions, had a quick question though what if I wanted to make the skirt longer would I just repeat the pattern to what ever length i’d like?
Hello what if I want my skirt to be below the knee? How can I make it longer? Thank you. Beginner crocheter here. Thank you, this is so pretty. GOD BLESS EVERYONE.
Thank you :) I had four skeins of yarn I had no idea what to do with and I decided to make a skirt! This was fun and thought the yarn is a bit too chunky to really work as a skirt it’ll be fine to wear around the house :)
hehehe, That's awesome! I just recently cleaned out my closet and found a bunch of old skirts and have been wearing them around the house too! It's soooo comfortable!!
Fabulous! I’m older and hhmmmm, wider, and haven’t tried crocheting a skirt for myself yet. This I’m going to definitely try in a light weight yarn and longer, but I’m gonna use your pattern. I’ve subbed, great channel and thanks for sharing💕🙏💕
@@TCDDIY it’s actually the opposite lol, my school is a uniform school, but the uniform is just plain skirts so if I make it longer, they’d probably be cool 😂
Awesome video! Thanks for posting it! I was wondering why you went from increasing every two, then three, to increasing on the 10th stitch? If I wanted to increase another couple rows, when should I increase? Thanks again!
Thank you! We did it like that so that it can flair gradually cause I didn't want the whole thing to ruffle if you want it to continue repeat the increase into the 10th stitch 😊
Going to make this soon maybe in light colours. Can u crochet a pleated tennis skirt plsss?(the one with creases and folds) Is ok if you have more projects to do first. Also I look forward to your tutorials every week and choosing which ones I want to make in the future
Hey thanks so much ❤ I havent made this yet but hope to when i get some yarn to work with. I have a instagram and fb commision page specifically for my art and crochet. Is it possible to make this into shorts as I'd love to make this pattern as shorts. If so, any tips appreciated!! ❤
At the beginning you said it needs to fit around your waist and hips. Did you make it to the width of your hips or did you go in between your hips and waist circumferences?
amazing tutorial! do you how much yarn (yards or meters preferably) it took to make this? im heading to the store in the next few days but im not sure how much yarn to buy!
Once when you get to a size that you like for the body of the shirt you can just put 1 DC into each ST and keep working it till it gets to your desired length. 😁
If I wanted to make this closer to knee length, would I need to do more than 7 rows of increases to achieve that flowyish/pleated look? Or do I just keep 7 rows and keep crocheting the rounds like normal until I get the length I want?
For straight knitting needles do it flat and connect it later. Start with any stitch you like but I'll suggest the basic rib stitch. Make the band slightly smaller because the rib will stretch. When you get to the skirt you can pick any stitch you want. Just remember that when you knit you have a right and wrong side and the two combined make up one row of crochet. From then on increase like shown in the video and you'd be good to go! I would suggest looking up "invisible increase" tutorials on youtube and how to seamlessly connect the ends of your project at the end. Hope it helps💞
😊 Make a Chain of that reaches around the widest part of your hips and the rest of the piece will be the same, but you can add more increases if you'd like to have it frill a bit more. 😊
Hiii! Just wanna ask, please don't get mad 👉👈 I'm planning to open an online shop of crocheted clothes. May I use your patterns to make the finished products and sell it? Or is it wrong?
HI Munchkin, thanks for reaching out! The current policy is you're free to sell the things you make using my patterns so long as you: -link the shop and the UA-cam video wherever you post it -purchase the pattern -leave a photo review of the pattern Beyond that this agreement is for hobbiest or small businesses. If you're looking to sell over 15 items a month then we'd need to negotiate some sort of licensing agreement.
awh, cuteeee! Don't know what style you're going for, cropped, fitted or what have you, but I think this would be cute: ua-cam.com/video/1zJAKgFXxeE/v-deo.html BUT if you have a certain style in mind let me know and i'd love to point you in that direction. 😊
I feel like mine is just too see through. Like the gaps are too big and I’m not doing a tight enough stitch :( I double layered the waist band but it took foreverrrr
@@TCDDIY I went ahead and finished it and decided to just put a layer of fabric under it! But I used a 5mm hook and the same size yarn. It’s really cute still! Definitely going to make some more in different colors.

It's possible, but I will say that the ruffling of the waist band comes from the waist band being a little bit bigger than my hips so when I synch it it get's that nice ruffle. 😊

And that depends on the look you're going for. If you want a slimmer skirt I'd say leave it as is cause it'll fall straight cause it'll be a little heavy, or you can add more to give it more detail. Up to you. 😊
Thank you! Increasing is putting 2 stitches into the last stitch so for this one we're putting 2 double crochets into the same stitch. 😊 All direct links to our social medias are in the description.
