Heyy I am trying to make this skirt and Im a beginner so its really complicated but I will see how it turn out. Thanks for the beautiful tutorial live your voice❤
I used for 8 rolls because I was holding two but I recommend light worsted or DK yarn weight for the project. And the rolls depend on the length of your skirt.
@@diywithghcrochets you’re very welcome. Stay blessed and remember to talk to God continually for guidance in what you should create for His glory. Be well.
Hi. Thanks for the vid. The green skirt in the thumbnail and the blue skirt as the first photo and the skirt shown at the end are two different designs. How do you make the green skirt that longer and has more pleats
This is so beautiful, I'm working on it, but funny enough 😄, a second row of clusters....where is 3 dc c2 3dc then 2dc c2 2dc is very tricky, I have frogged it 3 times already when I was already on a 3rd row...and I'm sure I'm not the only one🤣🤣🤣🤣 ,I ended up continuing with one error in row 2
Hi again. Hope all is well. I have a few questions about the yarn. I’ve sifted through the comments and ended up a bit more confused. You mentioned dk, worsted, and light weight worsted. You also mentioned you used 8 rolls holding 2, 12 rolls holding 2, or 8-10 rolls of 50g, 6 rolls of 100grams. As a novice it’s a bit confusing. Could you explain the yarn details. Is it cotton or acrylic? What’s the size, weight in grams, and amount of balls/skeins you used for the green skirt at the length of the thumbnail photo? Thank you again.
I need to crochet this, its soooo beautiful. just out of interest - why do you use 2 woolstrings together? to make the pattern more tight or less transparent? =)
Usually to make it more tight and less transparent and also at times I want my pieces thicker but then chunky is too thin so I prefer to double dk yarn. Thank you so much
@@diywithghcrochets hello again. im almost finished with my skirt now. (black and blue stripes near the end) so far so good. but. when i started i measured the first part of the skirt and it fit "quite well". now that im near the end rows, the skirt is so wide n heavy, it literally slips off. i have to fix this now with a belt, since im almost at the end. but for the future, is there any tricks on how to avoid this? :/
hi there! i’m not sure if you’ve found out how to do that, but basically along the border you will find “holes” instead of the usual “v” loops right? so all you have to do is insert your hook into the “holes” and make your DC. for example, if you made 50 rows for your waistband, you need to make 50 DC along the border. (you should be able to find 50 “holes” along the border of your waistband).
Hi ♥️🌹 I have a question please . My waist circumference is 75 cm and my hips 130 cm. I am concerned that the skirt might not fit around my hips area . Any tip ? Thanks in advance
For this project, consider your hip measurement for the waist. First check if your yarn is a stretchy type, if so then deduct from your hip measurements some inches4-5inches. Make sure the waist band is 130cm on stretch
@@shadowthesatyr726 i was wondering if you made this yet, and if so could i see a photo of how it turned out? i wanna make a long version of it also but am very apprehensive.

When you switch from the band to the skirt it is very hard to follow along because we can't see where you're putting the double crochets into and I'm sitting here constantly rewinding the video so I can try and figure out where you're putting it to no avail. Now I have to frog everything because I can't figure this out even with the help of other comments. This tutorial is useless.

@diywithghcrochets I think I figured it out. There was another comment that was confused by the same steps, and they're the most important, so I would definitely update the tutorial.

Very pretty! Wondering if there is a written pattern yet?
I'm wandering if you can use a thicker yarn. Instead of doubling the thin one
A thicker yarn will feel too heavy, either use single medium size yarn or double thin yarn and ease your tension
Beautiful! I want to know if there is a written pattern or where I could find it? Thank you.
Thank you. No written pattern yet
Hi. Thanks for the vid. The green skirt in the thumbnail and the blue skirt as the first photo and the skirt shown at the end are two different designs. How do you make the green skirt that longer and has more pleats
It's the exact pattern.
I did the blue before the green
Okay thank you. My apologies.
Beautiful skirt, I'm going to make one like this with you.
OK so after the hips do you put two double crochet on each stitch or??
Pls gits when taking the measurement am I going to use the waist measurement to make it
No, you use the hip measurements

Hello. Lol. Again! Can I use a medium weight yarn and not double it to get the same look and feel
Yes you can but keep your tension really loose to avoid the piece from getting bulky
Ok thank you. How many grams of rolls would you recommend with medium weight yarn

Lovely video. Is the band based on the hip measurements?
Yes, it is!
What is the benefit of using 2 balls of yarn instead of a thicker weight yarn? I'm still a beginner / intermediate.
A thicker weight yarn weighs heavier which I try to avoid
Hi I used half double crochets to make the band, will it still come out like yours?
It will change a little on how the waistband looks and measurements but surely it will still look beautiful
Hello, did you make a tutorial for this cute top by any chance? Thanks !
Yes I did

In the future, try to use a dk sized yarn. . Thank you so much for the support and I do look forward to seeing the final product.
Lovely skirt, what yarn did you use
I used robin yarn
How would this turn out with a thicker yarn? And a 6.0mm hook
It would still turn out great but will be heavy
@@diywithghcrochets Thank you!! I will give it a shot.
Can this be done with hdc?
Do you flip or turn your work at all with this project?
Yes I do
hi! in 7:20 pls i don’t understand what you mean when you say “in every single stitch”
pls can you explain where i’m supposed to insert the hook?
hi there! i’m not sure if you’ve found out how to do that, but basically along the border you will find “holes” instead of the usual “v” loops right? so all you have to do is insert your hook into the “holes” and make your DC.

About how many skeins of yarn did you use for this pattern?🥰 thank you in advance
Around 8 when using single yarn and 12 when doubled. But it all comes back to the yarn type and length of skirt you want
Apologies if this is a dumb question, but does this skirt have shorts underneath it? Or is it just a skirt?
It's just a skirt
@@diywithghcrochets okay, thank you!
This is amazing, which type of yarn did you use?
I used robin yarn, 💯 acrylic
Please how many yarns did you end up using for the skirt?
I was holding two so I used over 12
It also depends on how long you want it. I recommend you hold single yarn if you don’t like your abit heavy

How much wool do you need ?
Depends on the length of the skirt. I would recommend around 8 rolls

It depends on how long you want the skirt. Around 6 rolls of 100grams

If i do the same thing with 2 strands does it get heavey?
Yes it does but not as heavy if it’s not going to be too long, so I would say it’s okay
