You're an absolute sweetheart! I've been looking for an easy way to make a pleated skirt in time to finish my outfit for my half-sis' wedding and this is perfect! Thank you so much for sharing ❤❤❤
I haven't forgot about your message! It is a long piece to make and this tutorial shows you how to make one side. If you want to make a full skirt - you can make the same panel for the back piece! IF i have the energy to make this full piece. i forsure will!! I just don't want to have you waiting for too long!!!
@@kiarashooks444 my thing was like how do I connect this to a waistband? Should I make the panels and then make a waist band? And take your time girl!! I have many crochet orders myself so this is the last thing I’m worrying about😂
hihi !! I suggest getting a measuring tape, and make chains and then line the chains up on your measuring tape. Keep making your chains until it reaches 36 inches. You don't want ur project to be over 36 inches - so consider the stretch of your yarn. I hope that helps - it's just what i do!
@@leonarriantoussaint5887 yes! So for example: Let’s say you need 70 chains to fit hip to hip Plus you choose to make 6 pleats (1 pleat=10 chains) Means you’ll need 60 more chains for pleats total of: 130 chains
Hi there! Why not attach all three layers together when making the pleats? It seems to be we’re attaching the pleat bit to the back in the rim stage. Why not do it originally?
hello!!! after thinking of ways I could do it - this was one way that i felt comfortable to do it and make a video about it. I bet there are many ways to do it! i just have no idea how haha
Hihi! Yes, i’m about a medium too. I didn’t mention it in the beginning but at timestamp 3:10 - i say i made 55 chains and then an extra 40 chains! But make chains until it hits you from both sides of your hips. Then add 40+ chains depending how big you want your pleats to be!! So that’s what i must’ve made!! ❤ Hope that helps!
@@kiarashooks444 Ok, thanks so much! So cool, you did a medium too, but it makes sense to just measure from hip to hip then add 40. Duhhh lol. Thanks girlll❤️😘
