Thanks for the video! Great to watch - I thought my Falcon had roofing Tek screws as fasteners inside the console - until I saw the video. Looks like this was normal construction by Ford Australia. Thanks again :)
Cheers mate, I thought the exact same thing when I first took a set of them out… I even threw them in the bin thinking I was going to replace them with something decent till I realized they were actually fitted at the factory 🥴
So i sped the process up by 20 steps and 3 hours - by putting a 12mm bit on the drill, and drilling a few holes in the console to unscrew the shifter through it.
Yep, finally got one I think I’ll be happy with. You know, I usually do have a cuppa when I’m down in the shed… that must’ve been why I couldn’t be stuffed 😂
first thing i did when i bought my falcon is take out seats and alot of the interiror trim pieces and deep cleaned all the parts haha i just had to lol im currently got alot of work to do on my car
Mate i took the whole console off, and tried to detach the light bulb from the small black thing it was in, but the two wires that go into the light bulb, they are broken now. What should i do? Any suggestions please?
Absolutely mental that you can’t just unbolt the selector plate and pop a new globe in instead of taking the whole console, seat and handbrake out. It’s as bad as having to take the whole front bar off to replace the headlights. They really did some stupid things with the B series cars.
@@davodrums I know right, not the brightest sparks in the shed whoever came up with these ideas… can still be awesome cars tho once you learn your way around them.

You interested in selling the wheels off the wreck?
