- Take a quick peek of Bach artist Rashawn Ross testing out Stradivarius trumpets at the Bach factory in Elkhart. Rashawn is here test out dozens of Bach trumpets that will be sent to dealers all over the world that have been hand selected by him.
I can compare myself to Rashawn Ross. One of my trumpets is also a Bach 180S37. All of my trumpets, like Rashawn's, are also made of metal. And that's about as far as the comparison goes.
Rawshan Ross: "Nothing beats the sound of a bach man"
MoneteCorporation: "Am I a JoKe tO yOu"
Sad to see $$$ change musicians minds. I don’t blame them, but to say “Nothing beats the sound of a Bach man” is completely hilarious to me.
That is an opinion some monettes just don't sound very trumpet like in my opinion, that isn't a bad thing it's just not my preference
@@bobofthekerbals9797 some monete trumpets sound airy
@@bobofthekerbals9797 I'm with you man. Monette sounds like it slots really nice with great definition and space above high C but it sounds dead when I hear it. Monette doesn't sound sweet to my ear. My main horn is a Committee and I doubt I'll find a better one for sound alone though I'm sure the Monette does it's thing better in it's own way.
RR makes any trumpet sound freaky awesome....I too prefer the sound of a Bach over Monette. Bach has a ringing sound that is different than many horns...that said Monette is an elite horn there’s no denying that, thank WM.
The truth is he can make any horn sound great. Buy something that works for you and Is the best quality you can afford and practice.
Trumpet is not a horn.
@@Seastar14TheWitchHave you never heard of slang lol
I used to play a 1959 Bach Stradivarius. That was 40 years ago! I’m 68 now and found a Getz silver trumpet and starting all over. Bach’s are beautiful
Well, there went my 56 years of playing right down the damn drain!!!! I don't know why I take that thing out of the case anymore!! Actually, that was awesome Rashawn
Oh, this man has practiced a lot!
In Boston maybe 7, 8 years ago I walked in to a brass shop near Symphony Hall. This gent was there to dial in his choice of a mouthpiece. As he played I just pretended to look at the horns hung on the wall. I could hear the difference between choices. His pick was obvious. That lucky encounter was humbling yet motivational.
Rashawn.... out of all of the “demo’s” you have on UA-cam. , you truly sound the best here !! In all of your registers !
He sounds better in the register above double C here in this video than any other video. But he sounds better on the Monette for the stuff below double C.
Higher and higher..........A great player, can make any horn, sound good..........
I love his skill , smile , personality. He is so fun to watch.
I wish I can play the trumpet that well one day
Get to work. Lets see it happen!
Bruh I've never heard or seen anyone play such a high note on a trumpet. That blew my mind
@Samuel Hibbs If that were true, you wouldn't be wasting time bragging about it on a UA-cam comment...
Lol sam your funny.
@@benjaminpiela5210 he doesn't, in his mind he thinks he does but in reallity he doesn't
he loves his triple C's
@Samuel Hibbs I pLaYeD a DoUbLe G oNcE
This is one of the greatest trumpet players of human history 🎺🎺🎺🎺
Maybe just cause he can play doesn't mean anything
bro that isn’t even a note it’s a squeal 😭
That's a great test! The latest Bach horns are amazing! The anniversary horn is my favorite.
Excellent brother. You are great!
マジでカッコいい。

That high G got my dog all perked up
Oh, also, if anyone has footage of him playing a Harrelson horn plz recommend it👍
“Nothing beats the sound of a bach man” but what about Monette???😂 they sounds quite nice. That and Harrelson trumpets🤙
Monette is awesome to, but i have to admit, nothing beats the sound of a bach
Never heard him hold one of those squeaks sustained before.
💯
GONE BROTHER!!!
Jacinto Manto agora no trompete de fogo 🔥
on the thumbnail I feel the best player he is before I heard
haha dude is born a day after my bday.
….yeah man
What happened to the video with the 190 -72 prototype?
와우!!
소리좋네요!!멋져요
It is true, Bach has such a unique Dark tone! After playing Bach for many years, I just bought a Schilke X3 which has a Bright sound and has a XL bore which is great; however, if I ever want that Dark sound for say, Baroque pieces, I will pull out an Edwards Gen II C silver trumpet that I have which gives back that Bach sound.🎺🎺🎺
X3 is a lead trumpet horn. Schiller has a full line of markedly different horns to choose from
Holy Crap-- I'm switching Ron to oboe
Hey Bach how can I order a 18065? ☺️
Im sorry but those notes can only be played on a monette according to monette
It's all about who's playing. Charlie Porter on his Monette is every bit as musical as Rawshan on his Bach.
Only question that counts is how do "you" sound on your horn, whatever it is.
Must be nice to own one of those bach trumpets
must be even nicer to be such a good player
Carol Brass plays just as well at a fraction of the cost lol.
I thought the Vintage One and Legend were interesting.
My man lost SOME weight
Who are you?
@@aaronjackson7166 who are you?
@@wisp2482 who am i?
Trevian Hipp Who are they ?
Who the fuck is you is?
Not bad for a trumpet that retails for over $3,000. 😉🎺
How does he do that? What note is that, even, 5000 khz?
The first note is G, two octaves above stave/staff. The second note is C above that (on a Bb trumpet) making it around 3729 Hz.
@@loveleyday
Would that be considered a double high G and a triple high C ?
@@ironmandave3000 triple G and triple C
Double high C was all I could hit in high school and I sat first chair.
👍🏽
Amazing. Bach 37s are stuffy to me.
Nothing beats the sound of a Bach? ROFL
His opinion, which can differ from yours.
Nothing beat the sound of Bach...really man???!! When was his monette interview filmed ? smh
That horn feels absolutely violated after that
Se der um trompete de marca ruim ele faz a mesma coisa!
O bom não é o instrumento mas o músico que nele toca!

Correction: Nothing beats the sound of a pre-war French Besson Brevete, which is the horn that Bach, Benge, Kanstul, and others have been trying unsuccessfully to duplicate for 80 years. They've never used the right combination of metals and gunpowder residue to use to make them, and they probably don't want to go through the trouble and expense to make new horns out the same type of metal. Since those old Bessons were made from spent shell casings, they should really just do a scientific analysis of whats in the metal of those horns and duplicate that in addition to the horn's dimensional specifications. I notice that Rashawn is playing a GR mouthpiece. GR, the mouthpiece of the stars. I've never come across a product that is so impossible to try and get a hold of. Unless you're a famous, celebrated trumpet player, you can't get custom work done, and it's hard enough to get a hold of a stock model of a GR. You have to go to a dealer to be able to even try them out and the dealers are so few and far between, the distance makes it prohibitive for most. Not only does GR not have a trial and return policy, they don't even sell the mouthpieces direct on their website. If you want to get a signature mouthpiece, you have to get them from the celebrities themselves, and they never have them in stock. Unbelievable. And those "Northern Brass by GR" mouthpieces, there are only a few models of those and they only work for people who play a certain way, at least that's what I've found from trying them out. Northern Brass didn't work for me at all.
Thanks for a long-winded opinion that nobody asked for.
I can make a bach sound like shit. Can he do that no?
