Black people have the best reactions to this song. You just get it! No explanation needed. You understand soul, emotion and intimacy. You just vibe out and it’s so satisfying to see haha
What I love most about your reactions is that you can tell its 100% real because you literally can't force goosebumps to appear. Great video and welcome back dude.
Great choice ! Vai is a consistently astounding guitarist, and extremely charming, funny and smart. I don't think he has any limitations; he does exactly what he wants, and it always works perfectly. I saw Steve live on my 51st birthday, at a club inside a shopping mall in Oklahoma City. The venue was small, but the sound was huge. He came out dressed as a space alien, complete with space helmet with blinking LEDs. He proceeded to blow the roof off the place, for close to two hours. One of the best nights of guitar I've ever seen.
Good to see you back man! Really missed this. Don't worry about other people. Only you know how to do the best you. You know what you're doing man. Believe in you!
i got to see Steve play live at one of my old job years ago when he was on tour with the late great Frank Zappa's son Dweezil! he is one of my top 5 greatest guitar players ever! i got to meet him after the show along with some fans i made sure to go last so we could talk more! i told him he was one of my favorites and he had just started his own honey business i asked him about it and one of the girls that was with her friends she kept giving me dirty looks while we were watching to see him i asked how his honey business was doing she said he doesn't sell that. i told her if u were a die hard fan like me you would know he just started his own honey business online and sells them for $10 a jar. her and her friends mouths dropped so wide a few bugs could have flown in their and he smiled and said i was right and he winked at me and before he left he gave 2 guitar picks and a hug!
Dude, you haven't even scratched Steve Vai (pronounced like die). Vai has been onstage since the late 70's and I doubt there is a single guitarist alive with a bad word to say about him. The man has a great many solo albums and albums with bands like David Lee Roth and Whitesnake as well but his whole career started with Frank Zappa.
I once heard another guitarist say a bad thing about him, his closest friend, Joe Satriani. Joe said, "Steve really pisses me off. On every album I make there's one part that's so difficult for me that it takes me a week or two to get it right. Then, two days after the album comes out, I'll run into Steve. 'I really like that one bit that you played', he says, then he plays that one part perfectly, note-for-note. It makes me wonder why I work so hard, when anything I can play, Steve can do faster and easier. Once or twice is one thing, but he does it with every album !"
Don't forget that one time he went to the crossroads.

I doubt there is a single guitarist alive with a bad word to say about him. -> i read on a magazine article - malmsteen sayn that steve vai was playing out of tune!!!! . ashuashuashuauhsausuasuauas
I was just gonna say.....he makes it say ' hey Dave ' or something like that. Him and DLR were probably the best paring in the late 80s. Both had so much energy and they looked like they had fun. I miss the 80s!!
Seeing this man in concert was absolutely unreal. I was 14, and it was the second show I had ever been to (the first was a month earlier when I saw Tool). Both of these shows set the bar VERY high.
great reaction!!!! Steve Vai is by far one of my favorite guitarists off all time. You should check out "For the love of god" and "I know you´re here" by him. These go crazy as hell
Damn that song is a masterpiece, I heard it as a child when it was first released and was blown away. I was surprised to hear it on a Nikki Minaj track, well I guess she knows great music too.
The main riff for this song he peeled from jimi hendrix...its a song called Villanova junction blues....jimi does a beautiful live version at woodstock where it's simply titled "woodstock improvisation"
Welcome back brother 👏🏼👍🏼 Good song choice ♥️ He’s the guy in the 1986 movie “Crossroads” that Ralph Macchio beats in the guitar battle (yeah right) Only in the movies 🎸 You we’re right the first time, it’s Steve V👀 Like eye 👁 He also played with Frank Zappa in the early 80’s. He is a master 🎸🎸🎸
One of the best reactions! Steve Vai issa whole ass vibe! He really knows how to make that guitar talk. Next one you should check out by him is “Whispering A Prayer” Live at The Astoria in London! It’s pretty friggin majestic! Also when you get time, you should check out his mentor Joe Satriani. Pure guitar gods! 🎸🎶🙌💯🔥
If you want to see Steve Vai (rhymes with eye) make a guitar talk, listen to David Lee Roth's "Yankee Rose". DLR and Steve's guitar have a conversation at the beginning of the song. Glad you're back, btw. You've got such great energy.
They are great they have there own styles. Van Halen,Steve Via, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Hendricks,Dime Bag,Prince the older guy's influence the younger guys coming up. You can't pick and be right and take away from another style.

Cool jam. He's like my 4th favorite guitarist G3 - My guitar wants to kill your mama! and by the way... It's Stevie Ray Vaughan -GOAT- Check out Lenny (live @El Mocambo)
Not only is Steve a MONSTER guitar player he is hands down the coolest famous person I've ever met. I bought one of his books and paid extra to have him sign it. When it was my turn to get my book and have it signed his assistant realized the books had sold out!! Instead of just refunding me she told Steve what happened and he had this "I'll take care of it vibe" while we hung out for a few minutes. I got a great picture with him and went about my business. Weeks later, Steve went out of his way to track down a copy of the book, sign it for me, get it to his assistant and mail it to me personally. WHO DOES THAT?!?!?! Like who actually does that?! I couldn't believe it when the book arrived.
This compels interesting comparisons to say, Stevie Ray. Different style, but as I posted on Stevie Ray, he was a great blues player but he couldn't handle these scales. They're all great.

My friend ran and got it along with my keyboard (same kind they used), they signed my stuff and hung out more, just chillin'. Steve and Joe were the nicest, kindest, most humble folks I've met.
