Awesome video. Just as important as the actual phone review in my opinion. I was looking at the Ringke case but based on this video I am now definitely going to get the 'made by Google' case. Thank you.
Hey - just curious as to why you were more sold on the 'made by google' case vs the Ringke? The Rinke looks solid IMO. My go-to is the Rugged Armour (Spigen) - but after this vid - I'm thinkin of giving the Ringke a try
Just got some sent over to the channel and I have to agree. They are great cases! Gonna be making a video for them soon. Thanks for checking out the video!
I like the review and the selection of cases. Thanks a lot! Just one thing I'd like to address: Maybe next time, could you please show off the products more slowly? Your hand movements are super fast and you're turning and twisting and fidgeting the product all the time so we never get a good glance at all angles. I often have to press the pause button... Otherwise really solid and I think I'll go with the Spigen :D
The White Google Pixel Case is nice but very slippery. But the biggest Problem is that the Cover discolors very quickly when you have it in your Jeans.
Shouldn't you place them on the table to see how stable they are, and to give an idea how they protect the camera lenses? And, horrors, if they rock as you type.
I was planning on getting lemongrass but I love how the snowcone looks with clear cases. Still, might try lemongrass, might regret it, but oh well still gonna get a google case because i prefer just to have the google logo on the case lol like i do with my pixel 4 great vid! found you on my recommended
As far as rugged cases go, Poetic's Revolution series case has saved my Pixel 7 more than once. It's just a shame that the plastic insert used to hold the case together is made of cheap plastic. Snapped on me after a soft 3ft drop and I had to finally buy a new one. Got me a Spigen Rugged Armor which was very similar to the last case I ever bought for my S20 FE that never failed me.
It seems to me that the Ringke has the most pronounced lip protection. It has a decent lip all around but a raised lip on the top and bottom of the case
There are some sweet cases there. I went with Spigen but not any of the ones you had there. I went with the tough armor model for the Pixel 7. Biggest reason was I watch YT and other media on my phone. This case has a built in kickstand that’s minimal and flush to the case. I had a similar one from them for my Pixel 3XL and it worked great. I will say if I was going for just a case that Zagg is mighty tempting.
I need to get a good kickstand case for this as well. Never tried the Spigen with the kickstand. I have had my eye on the Torras kickstand case, though.
If I recall correctly, I think VRS Design makes a pretty decent case that can fit up to 4 cards if I'm not mistaken. Case is a little bulky, but it might solve your problem. I had one for my Pixel 6
Great video. Nice showcase of some of the cases. I don't have my Pixel 7 anymore, but I really enjoyed the Peak Design case. It opens the Pixel up to the Magsafe ecosystem which is great. Which screen protector are you using?
I'm using the Spigen tempered glass screen protector currently. I haven't used any Peak Design cases but I have used Mous cases that also incorporate MagSafe and it's pretty freaking awesome! Thanks for watching! I really appreciate it.
Those Google cases are imo the worst 🤦🏾♂️ I got the Caseology joint on my 6a. I like the kale case. Carne close to buying. Great cases you have on deck
The Google cases last year were hot garbage but I’m liking the ones they have this year a lot better. Hopefully they hold up lol. Thanks for tuning in, fam!
I have just bought the 6a, but still found this really interesting, especially the ZAgg case. I would normally go for the Spigen Rugged Armor, but, for some reason, on the 6a, the corners are "bulgy," so I went for the Liquid Air. Beautiful case, but yes, the bits of dust that get into the grooves on the back, very annoying. Plus, in certain lights, the back is plastered with fingerprints! Currently, I'm using the "Rugged Shield" case (not by Spigen) but a cheap rip off of the Magpul cases, that are made for iPhones. Slim, but grips the phone like a vice, no "saggy" bits and it's' really grippy and easy to hold and no fingerprints! 😉😉 Of the 2, I prefer the Spigen. But, those fingerprints are a deal breaker!
@@twinfolktech I agree, great case. I did have one, but sent it back. Incredible fit, but I didn't think there was enough "grip" on the side, and when holding it upright, in my right hand, it felt like it was going to slip out of my hand. Not an issue with the Spigen/Rugged Shield. Maybe, I just don't have enough strength! 😉😉
i got the parallax, pretty great, protected my phone from dropping maybe 4 or 5 ft. once i need a replacement, ill probably go for the onyx, rugged armor or liquid air next.
Great Review!! I have the TORRAS Shockproof, I like it very much great protection not too bulky also very clickable. On all my cases love the feel silicon velvet Actually this is not for the Majority of users.
Some available cases have the top cut out to keep antennae clear of obstruction and also some cases don’t allow wireless charging. I’m shopping for one that does apply both these options.
Depending on what variant you have, the cutout may not matter. It's only there if you have the AT&T or Verizon versions of the Pixel 7 because those versions of the phone have an mmWave antenna. Otherwise, the unlocked version from Google or T-Mobile versions do not have an mmWave antenna, so a case with a cutout is not necessary. But if you have a Pixel 7 Pro, those all have an mmWave antenna. All of the cases shown here in this video do allow for wireless charging
Athlex on my 7pro. I like it a lot. Smooth but grippy, and enough raise to protect the screen even on the curved pro. Wife has the Google case. It's great, but too smooth and slippery for me.
Would have expected a case from Bellroy. I just got my case in from Peak Design for the 7 pro and like it a lot. The hole in the back will take some getting used to. Purchased for the mag-safe+wireless charging compatibility. Coming from a Moment with mag-safe case on my 6 pro that served me very well
@@twinfolktech I wish Bellroy would do a mag-safe version. I have a Peak Design wireless car charger that's a magnetic dash mount. Fantastic set up for an older vehicle without android auto. Hop in, slap it on the magnet, hop out and grab it right off. Long story short, need the mag-safe case
I'm looking for a military grade protected phone case for my pixel 7. Not looking for a clear case because sometimes I video call family members from the kitchen and it can get messy. Im looking for a very durable, protective which won't break the case as well when dropped. Any cases you guys recommend that is more protective than the usual brands? Also I want REALLY REALLY good camera bar protection because I use my phone alot. A bonus would be cases that include screen protector. I'm planning on using my pixel 7 for the next 6-8 years long-term
Here are a few possibilities for you. They may not be perfect but they will offer more protection than the more stylish cases in this video Encased Rugged - a.co/d/4KnYPro Poetic Guardian - a.co/d/camIBVt UAG - a.co/d/a6RZ7T2 Supcase Unicorn Beetle - a.co/d/1g9C8Vt Lanheim - a.co/d/36SJ79o AICase - a.co/d/6t8SoHy
Between the Ringke Onyx,Caseology Athlex, and the Spigen tough Armor. What gives more protection against fall damage and camera protection and lip protection etc?
I feel like for shock absorbing for drops on the corners, sides and the back, your Tough Armor may offer the best protection. But in terms of camera protection and lip protection, the Ringke Onyx offers the best solution. Then I feel like the Athlex is somewhere in the middle of both of those choices
I'm kinda torn between the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and the Caseology Parallax. I am worried about how much of a fingerprint issue is in the Ultra Hybrid and how clean the Parallax would be after a while. I saw reviews of people complaining that the colors started distorting in about 10-15 days for the Parallax!
Mous and Encased make MagSafe compatible cases for the Pixel 7. But as far as having both magnets and a kickstand, I'm not aware of any Pixel cases that have both of those features
I'd honestly go with the Ringke. It provides more protection on the back for your cameras and then the lip on the front of the phone is more raised than on the Spigen so it'll help better protect against face-down drops of the device
I got the Zagg Gear4 Crystal Palace on order. Sadly can't find any footage of this for the Pixel 7 Pro yet. The denali not having much of a lip slightly worries me now though. Still got at least a week before my phone arrives though.
The ZAGG Crystal Palace is actually my favorite clear case of any clear case for any phone. I've had them for several devices and they are great. They just weren't available at launch. Good to know they are out now though!
Just bought the Pixel 7 two days ago, definitely need a case. I was wondering if I can still use the 'Quick Tap' feature with a case on the phone? Isn't there a case with a hole for the 'Quick Tap' feature?
No cases that I’ve seen with holes for the tap feature. Unfortunately the Pixel 7 doesn’t seem too heavy as good off sensitivity of the Pixel 6 for the quick tap feature. That’s with or without a case. You have to tap REALLY hard
Never heard of Otter tail but I've used Tech21 and I do enjoy their products. I have cases from them for my iPhone 13 Pro and my Pixel 4a and Pixel 6. I think they are excellent cases
Have you come across any cases for the Pixel 7 that has a slide cover for the camera lens? Comments regarding pros and cons of such a feature? I think a phone case with that feature would address my pet peeve of having to first wipe off fingerprints from the lens area before taking a photo or video.
Great question! First and foremost, thanks for stopping by. Really appreciate it. From what I have seen, I have not come across any cases from reputable brands that have a built-in lens cover. There are plenty of those types of cases on Amazon, but they are all "rugged" style cases made by generic/no-name companies that I've never tried. So I cannot confidently say that they are of quality. But there are definitely options online if you are willing to roll the dice and go the generic route. Here's one example I've found: a.co/d/3LyLpzI
I actually just got in a Mous case! I wish I would have been able to include it in this video. Which one did you get? I got the one with the wood accent!
The ZAGG was my favorite of them all. But I have been rocking the Parallax for a little bit and I gotta admit, this one gets pretty close to how I'm feeling about the ZAGG
The cases that make the camera bar flush, makes the phone thicker. The cases that have the 90 degree preserves the true shape of the phone. With the lip, for you finger to rest in the back. Got a Spigen clear case with the anti-yellowing tech but it still gets dingy in about a month or two. Get a Spigen Caseology it's the best, really durable with enough lip to protect the screen.

@@alecmcdaniel Encased and Mous have great MagSafe Pixel 7 cases!
They may not be perfect but they will offer more protection than the more stylish cases in this video
Encased Rugged - a.co/d/4KnYPro
Poetic Guardian - a.co/d/camIBVt
UAG - a.co/d/a6RZ7T2
Supcase Unicorn Beetle - a.co/d/1g9C8Vt
Lanheim - a.co/d/36SJ79o
AICase - a.co/d/6t8SoHy
@@twinfolktech Thanks will you review some of these cases if you havent done so already ?
ey what it do man? is your still a fan of the pixel 7 or no? any over heating issue? would like to get your thoughts
Still enjoying my Pixel 7. No overheating issues here!
@@twinfolktech I respek that
@@twinfolktech you got the 128 or 256 gb?
@@BeautyofScent I got the 256GB variant
Between the Ringke Onyx,Caseology Athlex, and the Spigen tough Armor. What gives more protection against fall damage and camera protection and lip protection etc?
I feel like for shock absorbing for drops on the corners, sides and the back, your Tough Armor may offer the best protection. But in terms of camera protection and lip protection, the Ringke Onyx offers the best solution. Then I feel like the Athlex is somewhere in the middle of both of those choices
@@twinfolktech ok great ,is there any other cases that you can recommend that better then ringke, Spigen, and Caseology for protection?
I'm kinda torn between the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and the Caseology Parallax. I am worried about how much of a fingerprint issue is in the Ultra Hybrid and how clean the Parallax would be after a while. I saw reviews of people complaining that the colors started distorting in about 10-15 days for the Parallax!
I have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and it is a good case but attracts fingerprints really easily :/ I'm constantly having to clean it
@@c0ffeeghost Oh no.. I just ordered that case for myself! Well, it is what it is ig
I use Mous Case in Silver Pearl!
I just got a Mouse case the other day for my Pixel 7 and I love it! It's great how it also has MagSafe!
I need a kick stand and metallic plate in the back for my car magnet mount.
The other cases are fine but I need more utility over looks for mine.
Mous and Encased make MagSafe compatible cases for the Pixel 7. But as far as having both magnets and a kickstand, I'm not aware of any Pixel cases that have both of those features
Hey - would you recommend Ringke Onyx or Spigen Rugged Armour?
Good to know they are out now though!
great video! thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Would have been nice to see a wireless charging test along with these cases.. Not sure if there's any drastic changes..
Good point. I thought about that as soon I posted the video lmao. But they all work with wireless charge no problem
@@twinfolktech awesome thanks!
My ringke Transparent case does quick back tap fine.
There are some very nice cases here
I enjoy using them all lol. Thanks for watching!
I like the first one from Google actually.
It’s a solid case for sure! Thanks for tuning in 🙂
@@twinfolktech And thank you for thanking me.
First case is very cool, but in video dont see saving frame display
What's your opinion on the otter tail case or something called tech 21 T-Mobile sells both of them
Never heard of Otter tail but I've used Tech21 and I do enjoy their products.
Here's one example I've found:
a.co/d/3LyLpzI
@@twinfolktech yup, so far all I've found as well are from generic companies on Amazon
I used the mous case, very nice
I actually just got in a Mous case! I wish I would have been able to include it in this video.
Which one did you get? I got the one with the wood accent!
🤔, I might be feelin' the ZAGG the most. Great choices.
The ZAGG was my favorite of them all. But I have been rocking the Parallax for a little bit and I gotta admit, this one gets pretty close to how I'm feeling about the ZAGG
@@twinfolktech Ok, thanks for the heads up!
Great video homie
Preciate it, fam. Thanks for watching
My wife has an iPhone and I have a Pixel 7 Pro, I absolutely need a magsafe Case for a car mount. does anyone know one?
I haven’t used this case personally but this is one possibility. I do know that Encased makes solid products, though.

@@twinfolktech sold out. anyway thanks you very much. Case from mous, that would be my plan b
@@vadimbechtold2159 Yes, the Mous cases do have excellent MagSafe options for the Pixel 7. Hope you were able to pick one up 🙂
Best case for me is Carbon case from AliExpress
Oh wow, I'll have to check that out! Thanks for the heads up!
The crave clear guard case is dropshippedlol I have a cheap case form Amazon that looks exactly 1 on 1 identical except there's no logo
Thanks for putting in the work so I don't have to! 😁👌🏾
Went with a clear Ringke Fusion case 😉👍
I actually have one in the mail right now. Saw some of my buddies with the clear Ringke and I had to have it
@@twinfolktech Fine 👍😉
I need to replace mine. Its too slippery sometimes in oily or wet hands. I have to clean it once in a while. Its gets too slippery
Thank you. Which one has the most raised edges?
I'm curious about this too. I want raised edges on the sides. Not just top and bottom
They all have pretty much the same from what I can tell. Except the ZAGG has the least of all
I actually wanna say the Ringke case is going to have the most lip protection
I think you just convinced me to get the Spigen Liquid Air
It’s an excellent case. One of my go-to cases for any device. The Liquid Armor is also a solid choice
@@twinfolktech The case just arrived. Definitely glad I watched your video. Looks really good and doesn't add too much bulk. Personally it actually improves the look of the phone for me. Thanks 👍🏾
@@monerville74 Glad to hear it sir! Really hope you enjoy it!
Last two r best
I have the leather case and it is epic.
I have the Bellroy leather case now and I wish I had it when I decided to make this video. It's SO good
last case damn sexy looks
I agree! Thanks for checking out the video 🙂
Does the Google case (chalk) have any lip protection?
Yes, but a minimal amount
The Pixel 7 case from Google is way way way too slippery! I have never seen a phone case that hard to hold.
from which country google pixel is made ?
The phones are manufactured in China
You forgot to show the usb and speaker cutouts on some of them
Thanks for that feedback. I try to do my best but there's always room for improvement! I appreciate your comment. Thanks for watching
Yo in the same way when I'm home I think the pixel 7 pro I have is so sexy so no case but when I'm at work I have an outterbox case
Thanks for the video, I've just order the Ringke Onyx! fingers cross its grippy! haahaha
when you get it please confirm if it's grippy like sandstone.
@@Stefovolley1983 will do ! 👍
the pixel by itself is really beautiful but with the case on...
Any recommendation for in built magnetic plate case?
Hey, great question. I just actually ordered this one from Encased on Amazon. Not sure how well it works but it'll be here for me by next week.
Encased Magnetic Case Designed for Google Pixel 7 - Compatible with MagSafe Charging & Accessories (Clear) a.co/d/7yVPXKr
@@twinfolktech This seems good for wireless charging but I think the magnet plate is of a smaller size than this big circle, probably won't be compatible with regular car vent magnet
@@bsingh8048 Ah, I see what you mean. I always get that confused with MagSafe lol.
Nothing comes to mind at the moment besides something from Peak Design. But even then, you have to buy their proprietary stuff to make it work and their stuff is PRICEY
There is no Case with Kickstand. I use for all my Phones Spigen Tough Armor.
Yeah I never use kickstand cases but maybe I should try some out. Thanks for watching!
hey, what is the screen protacter?

no bellroy leather case!!.. you left out the best case you can get for any google phone.
I hadn’t received the Bellroy yet when I was about to make this video. But I have it and it is definitely a fantastic case!
What about the Otterbox defender series Pro hard shell?
For me personally I never use OtterBox cases but I will try some out in another video possibly. Thanks for watching 🙂
great job and cases, but I'm a more rugged case guy
