How well do you think washable paint would work with this style painting? I love using acrylics but I'll be teaching a K-2nd grade art class and everything must be washable.
I’ve been drawing since I was 12 years old. Always wanted to try acrylic painting. 52 years later I’m retiring and want to give it a go. I love your videos and have learned much since. This is my first one. I tip my hat to you Ashley!! You’re a tremendous artist and teacher. Thank you for inspiring me and continue to do so.
Thank you, Ashley, for a great "beginner" tutorial. I've been doing watercolor for a couple years, but decided to try acrylics. I searched the internet for a tutorial for my very first acrylic painting, and decided on this one. And it turned out pretty good, if I (and my family) do say so ourselves!
Thank you for this fantastic tutorial! I am a beginner painter and really appreciate your teaching method. I did this painting tonight and am very pleased with how it turned out. ♥️ 🎨 🖌
Finally I found lovely channel about acrylic painting. I can learn from there a lot of thinks about it. Thnaks a lot. You are such a good artist. Take care. xxx
Starting with acrylics on the weekend. I'm going to have a go at this first now that I've watched this. I love your videos, clear concise instruction at a nice pace. Thanks.
@@Createfulart I completed my first acrylic painting. Your instruction was fab & everyone has been very complimentary on my finished piece. Should I varnish the paintings when they have dried or is there no need please?
You are just amazing!! 1thing you were blending soooo softly and smoothly .2 thing you were explaning very nicely and thankyou so much you taught me how to paint trees/pine trees!! i am gonna try it☺️☺️😊😊👌👌👍👍
Fantastic work, just loved it! May I ask did you dry your canvas between the background, each mountain range, and the distance tree range? Then finally the foreground trees, and the sun? Amazing work!
@@Createfulart Ahh, ok. Thats kind of where I get into trouble, either adding too much water or not enough. A lot of painting I do tends to look kind of childlike, and I'm wondering why - just have to work with texture a bit, I guess, be more playful with it. :o)
Can some one tell me should i go for doing this . It will be my first time painting and i am not really good at drawing as well. So will i be able to do this🙂😶😬
Go for it! You will never know unless you try. It's a good painting for beginnets. Plus we learn by doing so if you don't like the first one, let it dry, and paint over it.
I'm so brand new. This looks great and want to try. Did you use any water....maybe I missed? Didn't hear any swishing or did you add that special medium I've seen on vids in place of water? Thanks for any help and thanks for sharing. I clicked like and am going to check out some of your other ones :D
If your paint isn't gliding easily add a little water to your brush. My sta-wet palette makes my paint nice and wet so the paint glides on smoothly without needing to add water or any mediums.
I'm a beginner, and I've done a few drawings /paintings (oil pastel, colored pencils, and watercolor pencils, and acrylics) and the one I'm about to start next is going to be similar this. It's gonna be a sunset in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I live in Virginia, but I'll be using a photo from a friend of mine in North Carolina who posted it on Facebook. The mountains in this painting look just like the Blue Ridge Mountains. I wish I could post the photo on here, but unfortunately, I can't. 😥
No your right! She made a tutorial very similar to my beach one and I made one similar to one of hers...not the same but it does bring up the issue when changes are made...is it enough? A great topic for a future video.
Speaking personally, I don't think the similarity matters - everyone works differently, by definition, so it depends who you find yourself more suited to. :o)
@@Createfulart I think your canvas should be on the right instead of the left. The left side would be for a left handed person. Give it a try. Thanks for your reply.

Me and my son just did this! Very good instructions, i finally understand how to blend acrylics to make the sunset type version!

Happy to help! You'll get better at drawing as you practice. ❤️
Fantastic work, just loved it! May I ask did you dry your canvas between the background, each mountain range, and the distance tree range? Then finally the foreground trees, and the sun?
Amazing work!
Yes, it is dry between layers so they don't blend together. Hope that helps.
Very beautiful sunset painting 😍❤️🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much 😀
Beautiful Asheley
Thank you!
I like doing these simple paintings to take to craft fairs! People like them. I just sell them unframed
Do you do the trees when the paint is wet?
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial!! I love it so much and I had fun painting with you. :)
I'm glad you enjoyed painting along. 😊
Beautiful ☀️
Thank you
I had an art project funded by my district. And I am excited to try this with my second grade students! Do you have any pointers or advice for me?
This tutorial will work great for that age group. My advice would be on supplies...what supplies do you plan on using?
I’m excited! I was going to use Tempra paint on a canvas. We don’t have e acrylic paints to use for this.
Beautiful!!!
Thank you!!
❣️ amazing

Are you using the paints neat from the tube or do you add water to them? I love the effect of acrylics. :o)
I add a little water to help them blend and glide on the canvas.

Is this a impressionism artwork?
It could be considered impressionism, as it isn't exactly realism.
am i the only one who’s gonna say this is SUSPICIOUSLY close to ahmadart’s tutorial?

My sunset sky turned out too dark to put a sun on, so I went for clouds instead. I did a bad job! Oh well. :)
Good compromise with the clouds when things don't go as planned. Every painting gives us a chance to learn. Way to finish it anyway!
off topic but yt is getting way to comfortable w these double ads 😭
Agreed. I think their profits are plummeting and so to compensate viewers are seeing more ads.

If you are painting on UA-cam you have to be aware that your painting hand is covering what you are doing. Very hard to follow for beginners!!
What do you recommend I do? I have to use my hand. Would you understand what I'm doing if I video from a different angle?
@@Createfulart I think your canvas should be on the right instead of the left. The left side would be for a left handed person. Give it a try. Thanks for your reply.

This was made by someone else you just added trees
Yes! I was inspired by it just like they were inspired by my ocean wave painting and made a few changes to it.
Complete opposite of easy
Give it another try! It does get easier with practice.
