I'm a 68 year old living in the UK and who has never touched a paint brush but your wonderful lesson has spurred me on to try something new in this never-ending Lockdown. God bless you!!
I'm a 59 year old woman who loves to do several types of crafts including crocheting..U never could draw and I never painted because I didn't believe I could..Recently I have started painting on canvases and because I don't care to impress anyone and it's just for fun, I'm realizing that I love it so now I've started watching videos for beginners.Im so happy that I left my comfort zone and dared to try something I use to avoid because I thought I couldn't..now it's fun and relaxing.
Iam from Chennai South India, lam new to painting and 74 years. With your instructions of painting I was able to do quite a good job. Thanks for all your help, keep up the good work. HARRIS
I’m from Oregon in the USA. I’m 70 years old and about to start my first painting class next month. Came across your Chanel and am learning so much. Please keep teaching us! Your class is amazing!
Watching from Ontario , Canada . My granddaughter needs a forest painting with mushrooms for an art project . She needs several small acrylic paintings on a swatch of material , from friends and then she needs to sew them together. So I got conscripted! I’ve never done acrylic painting. Have taken a couple of water colour classes. Enjoying this tutorial.
Hi! My name is Pat and I am in the US. I’m 69 and I just found this video and was thrilled with it. You are a wonderful instructor. You break everything down so it is simple and can be easily understood. I’ve only been painting for 2 1/2 years without any formal training so it’s been trial and error with results being more error. Thank you so much. I wii definitely try to fine the free painting video. I know it would be really great. Thank you again!
Watching from North Carolina and your painting could be straight out of the blue ridge mountains here in NC. Great tutorial and helped me feel like I can try doing this successfully. Thank you.
Thank you for giving me inspiration, to take up painting in acrylics. I am a complete beginner from the UK and I am 73 years old. I am sure by following your instructions, I can soon learn the art of turning a blank canvas into something to admire. I think I have found a new hobby to pass away the time and enjoy. I have watched several videos on this subject, but found yours to be the easiest to follow. One again thank you. You have just gained another subscriber. Geoff.
Thank you for your generosity in sharing your talent in this wonderful world of painting. I am an 80 year old beginner from the Philipippines and I find your instructions very clear and easy to follower. May God reward you more lavishly and bless you all the way.
I'm a beginner. I've watched video tutorials from other sites for 3 weeks now, and was afraid to start. I watched just one of your video's. This one. The intimidation and fear are gone! Wow, you are amazing, and I am motivated to begin. Thank you so much, from Texas USA
A beautiful demonstration for BEGINNERS that isn't too advanced, easily explained and won't frighten a complete beginner off by being too advanced. Many thanks.
I've been painting for years but never had anyone share the steps to such a beautiful finished painting. I never understood how to paint depth in my paintings using color. Thanks so much for sharing your skill and talent.
I'm in New Hampshire, USA I've taken many painting classes, but you're the best. No one has described the use of color to make the objects recede and move forward. Thank you
Hi I’m from Ontario, Canada. Been “teaching” myself to paint with acrylics for about a year now. I’ve watched so many videos that my head hurts!! lol. This is, by far, the BEST beginners tutorial I have watched yet! You explained things and demonstrated things in a way that I completely understood, especially the use of colours (warm, cold etc). Your technique is Amazing! I cannot wait to try this painting. 5 years ago, a psychic told me that I should paint, she ‘saw’ me painting. I laughed at her and joked about it because I was redecorating my entire house at the time, and painting every room. She assured me not that kind of painting. I am into photography but never painting, so I blew it off as fake news! lol. I totally forgot about that psychic until a few weeks ago... and here I am... learning to paint. Coincidental or what!! 😉😀 Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and skills. You are awesome!
I'm in ireland only started a couple of wks ago found this very helpful i was a little overwhelmed with brushes and colours this makes it look a lot easier thank u
i'm a 51 year old New Zealander who took up painting in April after my daughter left home to go to uni. i've been trying to learn since then and this video has taught me so much. thank you i really appreciate it
I'm 54 and from Noblesville Indiana. Enjoying life and learning new things like painting. The only time I was able 2 paint or draw was when I was upset. By watching ur videos I'm learning 2 do this as a pass time. Thank u
Thank you. I’m 76 years old, currently on lockdown in the U.K. I’ve just found some acrylic paints and thought I would have a go. I’ve never tried painting before so this is a first, and the first lesson I have ever had. I will let you know if my painting is a success..
Thank you for this and your work 🤗very easy to learn painting ! I come from West Germany and i love art and now it is time to do my owen ,good inspiration ! 👍
Just a quick “thank you” for sharing your technique! I’m a 57 year old professional sales rep, who has always wanted to learn painting techniques. I really appreciated you scaling it down to 3 colors and 3 brushes. I’ll keep viewing your videos to continue to learn. It took me about an hour painting the little cabin at the base of the mountains. Can’t wait for the next one!
It was magical to watch you transform a blank canvas into a captivating landscape. Your clear, systematic explanation gives me great confidence to try something new. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Thank you for your tutorial, I am a fairly new beginner, painted in high school so had some of the basics but refreshing is nice. Now, 62, and retired i have lots of time on my hands and want to pick up painting again. For me it is very relaxing.
I’m 68 years old from Washington state and starting to paint, but does not have any background on painting. I like your method and would like to see more free videos.
I really enjoyed this lesson. I especially liked how you explained each step and technique. I am a beginner and will never be a great artist but I enjoy painting. I believe that's what it's all about. FYI....I'm from Canada, I'm 58 and have never even considered picking up a brush. Its kind folks like you that help folks like me take a risk and learn something new. since I turned 50 I have learned to play the guitar and the ukulele. I started colouring and now painting.....the sky really is the limit.
Excellent instruction! I am a watercolor artist but wanted to learn acrylics. Your video is one of the rare ones which explains in real time!! Thanks a lot!!!
Watching from Europa, Netherlands. Very nice introduction to acrylic painting. Gotta give it a try, with only a couple of colours you can create amazing canvasses.
United States, you’re an incredible teacher thank you for posting these videos, I can tell these are really going to help me make progress with my paints. Not enough acrylic teachers online!
This was a great lesson. I especially liked how you explained each step and technique. I'm a wanna be painter and will never be a great artist but painting brings me joy. I believe that's what it's all about.
I'm from Chicago, Illinois and just recently visited the Art Institute of Chicago for the first time and became inspired to start painting. This video is one of the first video's i've stumbled across where I feel like I can actually paint along. Great tutorial!
Hi there, from Johannesburg, South Africa. I can't draw a tree, but being in our 2nd month of lockdown I started to watch painting tutorials. I'm definitely going to give your landscape a try. I'm just finishing a sea scape (1st painting ever)! You are an amazing teacher and I'm definitely going to check out your other tutorials. Thank you so much for taking the time to put something together for people like me who would love to paint but have no idea where to start! Zelna

Hello. Watching in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. I feel I just learned more from your video than over the last several months that I have been painting. Thank you for keeping things simple!
Absolutely brilliant! I have just ordered my starter kit and now feel excited and less timid about my first attempt at what I've always wanted to do! Thank you!
I have been using watercolour pencils and polychromos but thought I would give acrylic a go. So your tutorial is the first video I watched on how to paint with acrylics and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it so I have subscribed to your channel. I am in Wiltshire, England.
Great tips! Super clear tangible things like: "Cool colors recede into the background and warm colors come forward in the foreground" -plus he's talking about Noosa, AUS - I love that place.
Thank you, you've inspired me to start painting.... I've always said I would, when I retired. I wasn't too sure I had it in me though. I'm from Chennai, India by the way.
Super excited to try Acrylic painting for the first time. Thank-you for such an inspirational presentation, I think I might actually be able to do this! ( I do wish I had viewed this before purchasing a lovely box of 60 colours of Acrylic.)
Madison, MS, USA here. Thank you for these videos!! I’m amazed with what you can do with only four colors! I’ve learned so much from this one video. I’ll probably watch it 10 more times. I wish I could purchase this painting from you to keep and practice from. Thanks again :)
Thank you for inspiring me I am a 78 year old widow from Queensland Australia. I Have never painted with acrylics before but I am very interested and loved your video. I have all the materials but have been too nervous to start, but now with your help I will be on my way. Thank you again. Regards Di

So beautiful.! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your talent to us. I am a beginner and your video helps me to learn more. I am eagerly to try this beautiful landscape. God bless you! !
I'm 49 yrs old living in Racine, WI. I've done 2 paintings so far following instructors. 1 when I was in Texas and the other online once I got home again. Then I started looking for videos for things I wasn't understanding. Blending for a foggy effect at the end on a dry part for example. You are showing me something I thought I would never see though. I'm still not sure how it's done without making a big mess, but using a palette is an experience. The next painting I have lined up is more than 3 colors and I made a huge mess out of the plate I used with just that! Nowhere as neat as yours. Beautiful painting.
That's beautiful, mate. Done in 50 minutes, amazing. I live in Scotland and I do photography and bushcraft. I've planned to order an acrylic art set next pay day to paint scenes while I'm out camping and to paint off of my photographs at home. I'm hoping to paint scenes of my tent int the woods (Mostly coniferous trees, and or birch and sycamore) by my campfire, hills and burns (streams) with small waterfalls occasionally. What you have done is inspirational. I've had a go at watercolour a number of years ago, but I was quite below average at it. I try to put too much detail in and end up confusing myself. I've tried pencil drawing and had the same problems; though not as bad, I can't seem to get perspective right either. I'm hoping to have more success at the acrylic painting. I've got a really good eye for photography, but I have been making photographs for over 40 years, I'd like to translate that into painting for my own pleasure. Thank you for the lesson.
I am 78 years old and have been doing art since 2009. I always like to watch instructional videos so I can learn more. I have mostly been doing pencil drawings and some acrylic and watercolor and even tried some colored pencils. I really appreciate your taking time to make instructional videos. I am from Alanreed Texas.
Thank you for your easy approach to acrylic painting. I am a complete beginner from Brazil but a proud UK citizen as well. I've lived in Kent for the last 40 years but have recently moved to Devon. I will definitely be watching more of your nice and instructive videos.
Rod, thanks for that great intro. You make it sound so easy, and encourages people like me @ 57 and your other commenter Judy to get down to something we've had a deep, inner yearning for. I'm from way Down Under in New Zealand, and eager to put all your instructions into practice very soon. GOD bless, mate!

I am 74 years old and I am in isolation (with my husband) and I hope that by following your instructions I may turn my dream of having a paint of the entrance of my cottage into reality! I will definitely be watching more of your nice and instructive videos.
I am only a beginner and this has helped me, I am eager to get started.
Im running out to get a first set of paints. Really enjoyed it. I am from London
I’m living in Southern California and I’ve just recently started to learn how to paint with acrylics. Your painting is amazing. 3 colors and TW… wow! I’m planning to check out the rest of your tutorials. Thank you!!
Great lesson. I'm 77 and just started painting about 4 years ago, I'm all over the place in trying different things. Your video was very instructive. Do you have anymore?
