By the way.....you NEVER use 40 Volume Peroxide to bleach hair. EVER. For black/dark brown hair....use 30 Volume Peroxide and leave on for 60-70 minutes. 40 Volume destroy hair and burns scalp. The scalp is SKIN, thus, absorbs chemicals. And probably why blondes become so dumb. Lol It is the TIME you leave the 30 Volume Peroxide bleach mixture, on your hair, that is key. And WAY LESS damage. My hair turned completely WHITE, icy white....no yellow, at all. Paper white. But I used Toner to fill in the holes that chemically restructuring hair, causes.
