- This was the weekend that the WSR were to run their Autumn Gala, but unfortunately, it was cancelled. However, Mrs M and I decided to go anyway, and despite there being a Red Timetable service, we had a wonderful weekend meeting friends, so this video was captured during the weekend.
Thanks Bob for another great video of steam action, Glad you and the wife had a great time.
Thanks Wayne, it was a gamble as to whether it would turn out well, but it did, and we really enjoyed it.
That was enjoyable Bob, what a lovely weekend to spend at the WSR and capture this great footage..... Hope Mrs M had an enjoyable time too. Best Wishes, Brian.
Thanks Brian, we both had a wonderful time during our much anticipate weekend away...Best wishes...Bob

Thanks Steve, you made our weekend, and even managed some sunshine. Love to you both, and can't wait until the next time.
The line and locos looking good in the autumn sunshine Bob. Thank you for including the lineside furniture/non-action footage as it gives a more rounded picture of the line. There's also some lovely scenery in the background. Take care - Chris
Thanks Chris, despite the cancellation of the gala, it was a real treat for us to see and hear Steam again...Best wishes...Bob
Its good to have you down this way again Bob and to see your excellent video!
It's been a long time, since we last visited Mike, looked out for you, but didn't see you. Thanks for your kind comments...Bob

Great coverage of the WSR weekend Bob. Good weather too! Geraint
Horrendous drive down on Friday Ger. Saturday and Sunday were good, but quite windy.
That 9351 is a funny one. The Prairie that became a Mogul. Nice sound from it though. Well filmed Bob...very enjoyable.
Thanks Tim, they did a wonderful job on that conversion, and she's a great asset to the Railway.
Excellent on-train sound, particularly climbing out of Watchet.
Thanks Andrei, not to everyone's taste, but I like to record it as it reminds me of travelling many years ago.
Really appreciate seing this Bob - Thannks for sharing your view.
My pleasure Stuart, we've missed visiting the Railway over the last few years....Bob

Good old steam trains where you could lean out of the window
Just a point of order Bill, my camera was just outside the window, but all of me was inside! The good old days of leaning out of the Window are sadly behind us.
Best cafe on the railway so they say at Stogumber
Without a doubt Dave, it's a peaceful, and extremely friendly station.
Bob, Whilst the cancellation of the gala was an obvious disappointment I hope it didn't detract too much from your enjoyment. The video was interesting and well up to your high standards. Regards, John
Thanks John, having trouble with my laptop at the moment, so missed your comment. Thanks as always, we thoroughly enjoyed the weekend despite everything...Regards
Bob
If only I was alive before the diesel.
It was a magical time, and one I am so pleased to have experienced.
Who was that Glen Cottage? Was that your friend Dave Howarth? Enjoyed the video.
It may well have been..He does dress up now and again..or so I've heard.
