Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway Autumn Steam Gala 2022

This weekend, the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway. held its ever popular Autumn Steam Gala on the 09-11/09/2022
There were six locos in steam for the event, and they were presented in a superb condition for the visitors to enjoy.
The Star of the weekend was Pannier Tank 7714 on loan from the Severn Valley Railway.
So why not bring the family along for the last day of this fantastic event, and have a wonderful time.

Some beautiful photography, but more than that, seeing 5 different engines in steam provides a look back to a time when we were just beginning to harness steam engine technology. The beginning of the mechanization of work.

Nice to see, and enjoyable to watch. The worker on the railway have really turned out the loco's and stock well. Also nice to see a couple of diesel South Wales stalwarts from a letter era that's now gone with the coal.

You need to check the Web Site before you visit, it's best to go there when there is an event, such as Haloween at the end of this month.

Great video, a lovely railway I really enjoyed visiting a few years ago and would love to return. Nice to see a pannier visiting a taste of the future once the lines own pannier is in steam, 1857 looked smart will it be a resident at PBR from now on?
