You should read the pilgrims progress too. That’s a great depiction of our journey as Christian’s and how life tries to sway us off the straight and narrow path. It was written by the preacher John Bunyan in the 1600’s.
Dearest Katarina! Thank you for sharing your collection. I have Mere Christianity, All the Names in the bible, Practicing the presence of God and The Imitation of Christ. I also love reading all these "spiritual classics" from woman and men who lived 100's of years ago. They truly worshipped the Father intimately from within and lived very close to Him. I have a whole bunch of spiritual classic books which I downloaded from Google because you don't get their "actual books" anymore and if there's one or two available out there, then they are extremely expensive in hardcover....... May the content of these books continue to inspire, encourage and motivate you in your walk with the Most High. Sending love from South Africa. Elizabeth (Elisheva)
@@my-white-bibleThe following are Spiritual Classics written between the years 1400-1600's which inspired me greatly in my walk with the Lord. The content are God-centered and honourable: Experience the depth of Jesus Christ (Jeanne Guyon) Short method of prayer (Jeane Guyon) 100 Days in the Secret Place (Gene Edwards) The Spiritual Letters of Archbishop Fenelon - Letters to Woman (Fenelon) Let go (Fenelon) These are only a few..... Blessings sis
Great collections and strangely matchy with your aesthetic. 🙂I've been meaning to read Mere Christianity, but I haven't even heard of the rest of these. I'll definitely revisit this video later to make a list. Thanks for sharing, Sis.
Haha yes, I suppose they do actually lol, how funny! I'm glad I was able to expose you to some new material if you feel called to read any of them as well!
I'm so glad to hear that it was helpful! I know, I am shocked at how thick this book is and just how many names there are mentioned, and how each has meaning!
Love your collection. Thank you for the idea and inspiration. I want to share my books now! Also idk if you mentioned it but where did you get the covers for the book?
Thanks for your question! I honestly don't make time to read much non-fiction these days - I try to prioritise the Bible in my reading time (which still isn't as much as I would like!) However, many years ago I did go through a phase of really enjoying Biblical fiction, such as Delilah, The Centurion's Wife and the Red Tent etc. That's definitely the genre I would go to if/when I pick up fiction reading again! Have you read any of these? What are some of your favourites?
The author I really like in biblical fiction is Lynn Austin and Connilyn Cossette. I will be starting my Bible reading in a year again this 2024. @Donna Reidland is a Bible teacher that I know, she is starting a UA-cam reading the bible in a year channel if you would like to check it out. I started my Bible reading with her in our church group.

Oh thank you so much for the recommendation, sis, I'll check it out!
Oh wow, I’m going to add some of these books. I love all your recommendations and have purchased a few.
Oh glory to God, I'm so glad this helped! 🥰🤍

Thank you so much sister; I'd love to see your books too! Yes, I got the covers from Amazon, I have added them to my list: mywhitebible.net/links 🤍
❤ - I recently listened to Merely Christianity by Lewis, wonderful audio. Worth reading yearly.
Yes you're right, listening to it on audio while driving is a great idea, I should do that!
The two books by the monks sound interesting. It'd be nice to see insights from people who lived hundreds of years before I was born.
Yes, it really is interesting and surprisingly relatable as well!
Do you have any Christian fiction recommendations?
