For a next video, you should consider putting in a Goldwing engine in a Kei truck. The Goldwing engine is flat and could fit better, It is powerful and extremely reliable.
This is awesome, I want to do something similar to this, but in a Kei Van instead. Probably with a B-Series for space, but still, 3+ times the factory power will be wild in a Kei Van.
Buy a couple of sets of transfer punches, one imperial and one in metric. It is much more accurate than using sharpies and guessing where to center punch. Starlets cost huge dollars, but the Chiwanese, ones are around $30 per set. Buy a couple of sets, then buy the expensive ones to replace the ones which get dull.
Hey guys great job it’s coming out super nice . I’m a truck guy and I’m thinking on getting a Honda acty and customize it but not at that level to much money for me , keep up with the great work 😎
Damn if only you where closer I'm wanting to k24 swap my acty raccoon and you look like the guy who'd come over with a case of beer and a box of tools and help a brother out haha. Build is looking great!
I think it would have been better to put the engine up partially under the cab seat and such instead of in the middle of the bed. Then put a smaller gas tank under the bed in back. What would be really cool would be to put that Kei Truck on a Subaru WRX chassis (engine, transmission, axels, suspension exhaust, breaks.... I wonder how flat you can really get that engine if you did two separate intakes and throttle bodies on the side and modified the oil pan... You would have to raise the body up a little to give you some leg room, but this would let you put larger tires on it. Think though a 2.4L turbo Boxer engine with all wheel drive...
This is the factory position that the motor is mounted. Keeping it there allows the rear axles to line up to the wheels hubs like all Hondas. That’s part of the reason anyone who has attempted the swap, has put the motor in this location. The body doesn’t come off the Acty like it does on some of the other Kei trucks. 😁
@@insaneimports_official But I doubt the axels and drive shaft can take this much power and I think this video or another one mentioned you were sending out the rear axel out. And while it would be a pain and likely add more weight, cutting and moving frame parts might be annoying, but not that hard. I really wish they had a US distribution and left hand driver versions. My nephew is a Subaru nut and owns his own shop and got into racing with a Subaru. I think he is using a modified WRX. Those things have a crazy Boxer engine 2.4L turbo and AWD that is in a crazy cool package.

If the motor were poking up right behind the cab that would be possibly acceptable, but in the middle of the bed? That's just plain stupid! it ceased to be a usable truck at that point!
The original motor is in the same spot so why cut a totally different hole? Also, the motor must sit over the wheelbase so that’s the only choice. Maybe I didn’t want a usable truck bed anymore 😂

These things can use the extra hp for sure!

Thank you! Wish I knew what song that is, but I’m not sure. Our editor added that in. Thank you for watching, and following the build! 😁
Desde Colombia, felicitaciones, voy a emprender un proyecto parecido.
¡Gracias! Háganos saber si tiene alguna pregunta en el camino. Feliz de prestar algunos consejos.
I can’t wait till some guy in the year 2084 watches this cause he’s trying to do the same thing. Probably will be a electric motor tho, Yk.
Will def be an electric “motor” 😂

They are numbered in the thumbnail 😁
LETS GOOOOO!!

What are the dimensions between the frame rails? Can’t believe you can stuff everything in that tiny little place 😂
It’s 32” 😁
