I so wanted that truck to happen. A full-on clean build, maybe a redonkulous tunnel ram, sorted out, fresh paint, new suspension and some killer tires....

You can gain a whole second by removing the tailgate. The tailgate space is probably also the best place to put the radiator. . Instaed of weights , a metal apron , wedge shape starting low, would get you by with less overall weight , more down force and less drag, take off another second.
It was on a good pass that last run. I think they would have had the 10. I liked this truck with a 455 Olds engine. We have one in a jet boat for years. Good factory heads good size crowed cam and predator carburetor which was way better than the 850 double pumper we used before. They can be powerful engines for sure.

If the truck were still around I think it would've been amazing to slap a blower on the engine and have a scoop that sits just above the roofline similar to stubby bob. Honestly one of my all time favorite roadkill rigs

the first Ford Curriers looked exactly like that- had a rotary engine too! tough as nails- we split the bed seams hauling wood in one! the thing could haul a ton with just a little squat with air shocks and a helper spring on the rear leafs! we beat that truck to death butitkept on going like the energizer bunny!
The Mazda pickup and the Vette Kart are my favorite roadkill cars. I was so sad when I heard it was stolen. I hoped they would find another mini truck and do the same rear engine concept.
That thing was for sale like a block away from my community college. I was gonna look into buying it, but the listing disappeared before my shift ended at work. About eight months later, it made its debut on Roadkill.

I had to weight the front end of my fiero in pretty much the same way( I put the weight in the spare wheel) because it likes to push around corners in the snow

Unfortunately, apparently it was stolen in 2018 while these shows were behind a pay wall, so NOBODY KNEW IT WAS STOLEN !!!
I'm like 90% sure after this was stolen, it was parted out and the body got chopped into tiny pieces
