Awesome vedios bro, I'm 62, and when I was 22 , l had a 70 SS 396 Green with white stripes and cowl hood 4 speed and didn't know what I had and wish l still did, best car l ever had,but sold it because I had kids then, still think about it Everytime l see one, Thanks for the memory
Pure American Muscle. That car will kick your ass . Street Legend . If you look up the definition of muscle car this is what you will find. Thx for showing this to us . LS6 With an M22 Rock crusher backing it up. It doesn’t get any better
Love that it's restored and not modded. My first car was a 1970 SS 396 Chevelle in that same color. I miss that car.
Andrew Smith OMG 😮 I think my papa bought your car
@@amandaguzman1949 Sadly that could not be. I let a girl I had a crush on drive it and she broadsided a Camaro and totaled my Chevelle. No one was hurt though.
A mentor of mine Robert Shipp in south Texas had one and made a lot of money street racing it. Kept it in immaculate condition. I raced a 70 1/2 Z28, he sold me my first BB 402 I ran through high school, 4.56's, Turbo 400 with a Powerglide torque converter. Good fun back in those days. They didn't make any street rubber that could handle this kind of torque.
Dang when he fired up that Monster, I got a friggen Chubby just listening to it. My Buddy had an LS6 in a 70 SS El Camino and he had to add Cinder Blocks back in front of the Tailgate (covered by a black tarp of course) just so he could drive her on the Street w/o having to baby the Clutch/Throttle so it would get at least some Semblance of Traction ( eventually he switched to sticky 20 inch Cheaters) when pulling away from a stop. Coupled with that Rockcrusher, this Beast was a Blast when you put the Boots to it. His G/F said she used to almost have an Orgasm just sitting in the front seat while it idled. Can't beat that for a warmup can ya??
I would take this over a lambo
same
Take the lambo sell it and buy 10 of these
When i bought mine new in 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6, it cost $4600.00 my car was identical to this one except i added a black vinyl top.
That was some real money back in the day!
Newton Washinton That’s The equivalent to $108,777. US Dollars. In 2019 .
@@trevorgwelch7412 no, it would be around $30,000
@@trevorgwelch7412 woah man
Do you still have your Chevelle?
Love that real big block sound and idle with 500 conservatively rated horses to destroy any street. None of this modern day computer chip horsepower bullshit. Kids, this is how a real car looks & sounds.
I drove one of these back in 76....it was a monster...never felt torque like that in my life..
Yeah a man's car!! Hand this over to little punks today and take bets with your buddies on how long it takes for him crash it and kill himself!! Lol!!
This has been my dream car for as long as I can remember. One day I hope to own one of these bad rides
same
Jon
Same here, either a '69 or a '70 would be fine by me as long as it's got that 454.
good video.. first ls6 chevelle ive seen on video that has the correct 4 core radiator plate.. and you are right... you can start it up a block away and everyone knows someone means business..
You shouldn't buy this car if you don't like people. This gorgeous beauty will attract people like a magnet. Stop for gas...admirers will appear wanting to know all about it. ....each time you start the engine heads will turn from a block away.
+Jimmy B This is painfully true. I bought one because I love old cars, but I also thought hey, chicks will notice and dig it, too.... mostly it's middle aged dudes who want to talk about the old days every time I leave the house.
Do yourself a favor and just skip to 7:30
Just do it
omalley16 good looking out. bro. lol. boring as hell.
Beast mode
Ok thanks for the tip.
THANKS
One of my favorites. Who ever buys it will be very lucky to have it. It's beautiful..!!!
Dream car as a kid. Still my dream car.
I owned one and sold it in 1972 when premium gas went from 16 cents a gallon on base to 33 cents....my friends this is a real story. I MISS MY 70 SS😭😭😭
Nice job Tony!! You look bad ass sitting in it. Nice ride and lot of grunt!!
Another quality vid. Thanks Tony!
"Hood pins on my casket" too funny !
Cam is a tad agressve sounding. I bet it does make 500 out of the box. Cam is an easy way to keep it looking all stock and add significant power and likability. Bad ass car. Legendary
I thought same thing, would that be a stock cam.?
I was thinking it sounds a little too aggressive for a stock Ls6 cam.
@@duramax78 Its not the stock cam
OOOOHHHH that idle. Needed a private moment after that!
Wow I need this Chevelle!
She sounds amazing.. especially for stock!!
Its had a cam upgrade for sure. They didnt sound like that stock
My favorite car of all time
Best muscle car of all time
i used to own a ss almost like this red one from 1977-1985.. i sold car n 1 year later it was burnt in big fire in a rural shop...
Very nice and clean SS 454 LS6. I love the car.
Love that chevelle! I live an hour away from him.
lucky you
WOW! would be an understatement, she's stunningly gorgeous...
I bought my 1970 LS5 (402 CI) Automatic 3 Spd Chevelle SS in 1971 used with 1700 miles for $1750.00 Light Green from my Boss. He sold ti to me because of a Vibration he couldn't get rid of.
I changed the universal joint and Smooth operation from then on. Recked that car 6 months later. Man I miss my Chevelle SS. That's Life1
THE mother of all muscle cars. Screw you Cuda. LOL
Chad Kentile Second place to my GS455 Stage 1
64 Pontiac gto tri power
Omg sick car my friend had one in high school fast sick car fo sur!
Beautiful Oldschool rides!
Beautiful car. With all that work, they should line up the rear of the hood with the body better. It was driving me crazy
i agree, thats one thing restored cars have trouble getting perfect . i bet it was perfect in 1970
And the correct exhaust tips
Hinges may need replacement.
Beautiful car, timeless design.
What does that CRV sticker on the valve cover mean? Cali Ready Vehicle? Surprising the smog equipment adds value regardless if the car came with it.
my dream car
Same with me.
same here
@7:30 with headphones on, WOW!
My dream car but in blue. Right now I just have to settle with my M5.
King of Muscle Cars
That is a badass car for sure...
So how much did that beautiful car sell for???
How much are you asking for that beast?
Is the chevelle still for sale?
Where da test drive at?
Somewhere out there, Tim Allen is watching this and is pointing and grunting in delirious ecstasy. I know because I am, too!
How many gallons per mile does it get ? I had a 1968 SS Camaro with a 396
@@johndaroza8917 You Spelled Smiles Per Gallon Wrong
Wow the car is amazing my favorite car and of course the engine
Love this car!!!!!!!!!!!!
How much does this car coast today
Always wondered how these cars look 3-5 years later, if they are still pristine shape.
Depends on the owner and how he cares for it.
breathtaking!!! love-love it!!!
Just wondering what a ballpark figure is on what this car is worth? 80-90K? Thanks!
PS I know it's "who wants it and how bad do they want it" :-).....but anyone got a ballpark figure?
About half that these days. muscle cars have taken a hit in value since the GFC
HOW MUCH??!!! Would love to know what this sold for
Jessilee Rich the only muscle car I'm my dream
I doubt it was anything less then 90,000
And I like ya' and I want cha'
@@NRG56 if its legit yes. nothing against this guy but the whole part about someone buying it and selling it while only driving a Edit a few k makes me wonder. and you cant feel the strips because they are paint
454 baby nice car!
DROOL!! Such an unholy beast love it so much
Gorgeous!
still for sale??
Absolutely the best wow kick ass!
C'mon man you gotta have gears, GET ME GEARS WHEN YOUR DOING THESE SHOWS...😎💯
A Dream come Ture.
UGH whats up with the Headlights not being centered or adjusted properly!!!!
The engine call outs are incorrect and are not located correctly. They should be centered under the “SS”
Why is the block gloss red?
is it still available?
This one sold about 6 years ago but we have a 1970 Chevelle SS454 in stock. Call us at 301-816-1000
This video is old but I’m going to post this anyway. The S’s on the fenders do not look correct. They look like aftermarket letters
They're too far away from the 454 underneath them. Check it out. They prolly drilled all the wrong holes in aftermarket or plain malibu fenders. They look like crap
You need to put your cars on the Lyft so we can see underneath the the car like Vanguard Motors do with there cars for everyone can see all the work that was done to all there cars.
There isnt another car on the planet that id rather have than the 70 chevelle SS. My 2nd choice is a 70-72 GTO.
Bet it has a narrow ratio m22 have a M22 wide ratio 454 LS6 let me tell you the definition of terrifying . Highway Star!
Thanks
I want a car mustung 1969 u have or no..?
Gorgeous car
I saw a 1970 ss LS6 454, the guy did a full frame up had pictures and an appraisal done it was worth over one hundred thousand cad. I would wonder why someone would buy this car and take a loss?
Nice car, but Fleming looks like he's 3 months overdue for a haircut. Times must be tough. . .
Cash2112 lol hahahaha.
It's period correct.
Car is made in 1970.
How MUCH FOR THIS CHEVY IN THE WINDOW
Ur from..??
Woooooooowwwww awesome 👏🏼😃😃😃👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That is a sexy sounding car!
In Rockville, Md only 30 mins away!!!
So did the owner get married or divorced? LoL
Loved those cars, 70 is by far the best year Chevelle. SS454, what more is there to say except I'm blowing your doors off?
Couldn't have said it better myself. This car sold about 4 years ago, unfortunately I can't remember which it was for the old owner lol
If you drive this car, this will make you feel like Jack Reacher
SICK!!!
OMG!!!! WOW I wonder how much it sold for???
You guys are the best
My old man had the same thing in silver with black stripes
454 SS
Thanks very sweet❤️👍🏻
no power steering??
better start lifting weights, that shit aint easy man.
Don't need it in a straight line bro !!??
Great vid! Did Tom Cruise have this type of Chevelle in Jack Reacher?
Yeah! Dom Toretto also had one in Fast & Furious and the after credits scene from the first movie.
eldo59 Thx! Is it easy to put in power steering in these?
And also Wooderson in Dazed & Confused. Pretty sure it was a 454.
Yes Quentin, but maybe not for you if you have to ask.
@@SpectrumSurvivalist definitely not for that deuchebag... What kinda chevell guy says stuff like that
