I bought Creme Of nature plex system and It actually made my hair feel like what you're saying, dry and brittle. I just used step 1 but didn't want to invest after feeling my hair like that and didn't purchase step 2 and 3 which are the shampoo and conditioner
Thanks for this! I’ve just received this product from Beauty Bay on your recommendation 😊. I Can’t wait to see a change on my colour treated curly hair. At this point anything will be an improvement. Love all your videos and your advice is very much appreciated. Fi 🇮🇪
I was under the impression that you needed to shampoo after the treatment. Is it only necessary to shampoo prior to application? Thank you for the wonderful videos!
actually you've brought up a really good point! It says you do need to shampoo it out but I don't normally. I just rinse it out and then do a conditioner or mask after. I will add a comment into the video xx
I love your videos! I’m curious to know what the plex ingredient is in Matrix Bond Ultim8. I know Olaplex has Bis-aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. But I’m not seeing a similar sounding ingredient on the Matrix product
My hair isn’t damaged per se (I don’t color or use heat), but it is long and curly. I wasn’t able to grow beyond waist length without lots of splits no matter what moisturizing or protein treatments or protective styles I used. Adding olaplex to my deep treatment routine once a month has strengthened my hair enough that it can now grow much longer and the ends remain healthy. The length itself is “damage” as old ends that have rubbed around for years can become frayed. If you are cutting on a regular basis it will be less helpful.
@@ladyflimflam interesting! My hair is about waist length and curly and thins out at the ends from breakage, could be worth a shot. But how long do those little bottles last on such long hair I wonder?
You didn't say...but did you condition after shampooing....or does the Plex treatment take the place of our regular shower conditioner? I am interested to see if this as a protein treatment helps my waves. I now have color free /natural waves and sport my natural silvers. The only heat I ever use is defusing.
Yes I do condition or do a mask after the plex treatment. It doesn't replace conditioner. It's also recommended to shampoo after using the plex treatment which I don't normally do.
Ann4U2000 plex not a protein treatment although it is good for the hair if you want protein your going to need an additional protein specific treatment
@@juicylucy6488 no one said it was...plus she already said in the video that they aren't protein treatments. @2:43 "while these aren't protein treatments, they can behave a little bit like that in your hair.."

I really enjoy this series! I fell behind on the videos, but I'm making sure to go back and watch & like all the videos now 💜💜💜
Isn't the towel turban going to absorb the product? Wouldn't a plastic bag or shower cap be better?

I have really fine hair and it looks bitty. Will this product be advisable for my hair, also blonde colour that is growing out. Hair looks drab!

Do all three require prior steps at the salon or just the olo Plex?
no you can just do step 3 🙂
I don't see the link for the reason why and when I should use Opalex. Can you please provide the link? Thank you.
sorry! Just added it and here's the link xx
Is this purely for heat damaged and colored hair? Would it do nothing for untreated hair?
if your hair is healthy, you won't really notice a difference with a plex treatment xx
@@Hairromance thanks for the reply😊

Are these silicone free?
yes they are but the L'Oreal and Matrix do have a little mineral oil in their ingredients list x
