      Hey! It looks as though you may be able to buy those clips directly from the lady Jane website (www.ladyjane.com.au). I had a look after watching your video cause I thought they’d be perfect for my curls as well. Thanks for the video ❤️

      These clips from Scuncii are flat bottomed. I use them, and they hold thick hair very well. www.amazon.com/Scunci-No-slip-Octopus-Natural-Tortoise/dp/B00J6SDPTU/ref=sr_1_28_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1516702593&sr=8-28&keywords=Hair+clips+for+thick+hair.

    This is such a help for refreshing my curls since I don't wash them every day. LOL. I've done the mermaid thing, too, when lying down in the afternoon. Thanks for this.

    I like the alligator sectioning clips for putting my hair up at night. The big duckbill clips that are hinged on the top prong, those clips. They keep everything secure but don’t cause me headaches or dent my hair. I generally refresh by scrunching with wet hands or using Biolage leave-in conditioner. I’ve been using that leave-in for 25? years and just love the smell of it.

    Scunchi also makes a stretchy hair band (3 to a pack) that works fairly well for executing the pineapple method. I do find that after some usage, I have to snip some of the band from one end (the male end, if you will) to reduce the length of the band (and thus, the circumference). Thanks for posting such useful tips!

    Make your own leave in!!!👍 I have been doing that for years and can't recommend it enough! My hair is so thin so I have to water down almost every product. I've found a lot of conditioner & leave in along with a few drops of a gel (or something that has a tendency to dry a little harder) mixed in a spray bottle with water is the perfect combo for me!

    • @Hairromance
      @Hairromance  5 років тому +2

      It's complicated! I have brown hair too and I've been colouring my hair for years to get this blonde. I go to Stevie English Hair and they have created this colour. If you want to go blonde, my advice is to take photos to a salon and expect to take 2-6 appointments to get to the perfect shade. Going light too quickly will ruin your hair xx

    Good video. My suggestion is getting your own color: Braun using henna color gel. Very easy and cheap. Then more cocos oil into your body: look at Dr. Eric Berg:intermittent fasting . For getting healthy older with hydrated hair. Love.

    Lol I always go to sleep with my hair like a mermaid above my pillow. Lol. My hair is very heavy n long. I got 8 inches cut off n nobody in my house noticed😡lol but it curled better but I’m always having to put extra water in my hair over n over after it starts to dry. It would cost me a million $ to product my hair everyday. Thank u I subbed n love your videos!!

    we have this one at Target in the US- it doesn't explicitly say that it has the silicone inside, but that is usually what scunci (the brand) uses for their "no slip grip" products.

    • @Hairromance
      @Hairromance  6 років тому +1

      My hair gets tangled too but I leave it until I wash it next. I use a leave in conditioning spray to soften any big tangles. Not sure if this will work for you. Maybe you would clip your curls up when you workout to prevent too many tangles. Sorry I don't have an easy answer x

    Hey thanks for the tips! I have a question, as someone with color treated curls I want to wet it the least amount possible so I can have the least amount of fading. Will this refreshing technique fade hair faster?

    • @Hairromance
      @Hairromance  6 років тому

      thanks Desi! ooh that's a good question... I'm not 100% sure. Technically every time you wet your hair your hair colour can be affected, but with this refresh, you're not soaking your hair. I wouldn't worry about this refresh fading your colour, the sun would be more of a factor x

    What do you suggest to control a super oily scalp so that you don’t have to wash curly hair so often? My problem is that while my curly hair is super dry, my scalp is obscenely oily, but dry shampoos don’t do the trick for me... all they do is cause me build up and therefore dandruff. What effective alternative do you recommend?
    Thank you!

    • @Hairromance
      @Hairromance  6 років тому +2

      Hi! Check that that you're only shampooing your scalp and only using conditioner on the ends of your hair. Conditioner on your your scalp can be too heavy.
      There was a great tip from Grant in my recent videos - ua-cam.com/video/pvKrRvMyXIk/v-deo.html & ua-cam.com/video/7tA1PtF9wiw/v-deo.html
      He recommends being gentle and not to massage your scalp if you have an oily scalp. Massage stimulates your scalp so can make it oilier. When you shampoo, use your palms and press lightly.
      Hope this helps xx

      Hair Romance oh! Thank you! I don’t use conditioner because my hair is so short it doesn’t really tangle, but I will definitely take into account the not massaging advice! I will also check out the links you added to your reply. Thank!

      Your safe space or mine? I have tried baby powder as well, and it gives me the same build up and dandruff as dry shampoo 😔. Thank you for the mindful suggestion, though :)

      OMG same problem here! I have really fine and thin curly hair which is dry and scalp is super oily so have to wash my other every other day but that makes my curly hair so dry and parched. I only use sulfate and silicone free conditioner from mid length to ends and use sulfate free shampoo for scalp but it still leaves hair dry and parched and I find if I use sulfate free shampoo hair becomes oilier more quickly and I get dandruff as well so I have to use my SLS containing anti dandruff shampoo every other day no matter what.

      I have a great diy trick for oily scalp and dandruff!! In a small spray bottle of water I put 15 or so drops of tea tree oil and shake it up. After showering and towel drying my hair I spray it all over my scalp, making sure I'm getting it on the skin not just spraying my hair. It has completely gotten rid of my terrible winter dandruff and I can now go one more day between washings!!! 😆 You can get great organic tea tree oil on Amazon for less than $10 and it lasts me for 6 months 👍 Good luck!!
