Can u share more on the PRK vs lasik difference?? Been wanting to get lasik but my eye grade keeps increasing every year 🥲 and they said that “disqualifies” me for surgery
how old are you? dr woo recommended getting it in your mid 20s when your vision stabilizes! lasik is a lot easier in terms of recovery bc you open a layer on your cornea, laser it, and close it back up but PRK it's basically just an open wound BUT same results at the end!
that's amazing. i am seriously considering to have the surgery as well. Would you share how much it costs, and if this is covered by medical insurance (likely not lol)? thanks!

correct normally at the late 30s and 40 your near vision capacity to focus decreases. so If you are 40 yrs old and have done PRK or laser surgery, your near vision will be affected and may need glasses for near but this young lady in her 20s can still see close distance despite the PRK treatment.
@@ymir2957 good, still pretty blurry right now but I’m hoping it’s better once the contact bandages come out. Also I feel like 50% of the time the drops sting like crazy the other half they’re fine so maybe that just a me thing
Hey, im also one week post PRK.. both eyes were -5.25. Mine is still quite blurry and come colours still fade into others. They say its normal for a few weeks at least. Just make sure you are taking all your supplements, antibiotics, meds, and resting well. Also lubricate your eyes and eat lots of healthy fats, Im also kind of concerned but everyones recovery rate is different. Lets trust the process. I would say my vision is like 60-70% "clear"...
im also supplementing with 2000mg of omega 3 as it helps with tissue recovery and mositure. Lots of vitamin c as well and always drink water and salt for hydration. Goodluck
Hi, I had PRK done in both eyes 3 weeks ago. I’m experiencing really bad double vision in my left eye, but my right eye is great. Did anyone go through this, and did it clear up?
How long was your prk eye(s) blurry for? I am two weeks out from surgery. I had lasik in my right eye and pre in my left eye. I still am blurry and having trouble seeing/focusing with my left eye. I also had astigmatism there. I'm starting to get worried something went wrong. Is this a normal recovery process/ timeline? Still being blurry 2 weeks post op? My lasik eye is perfect. Thanks.
Yes, my prk eye is perfect. Just took a little longer to heal. The only thing is I do get random dryness in my eye in the morning that goes away with drops. I’ve started putting drops in my eye before bed and that takes care of it.
normally as she said at least a week of recovery. you’ll notice immediate improvement after surgery, the sharpness comes after a complete healing process.

I have done my prk surgery 10 days before and today it's 10 th day ... But still i can't see things it is blurry or not clearer then before doctors are saying it happens.. but i m bit concern...wbu
Hi Sally, Thanks for the video, and it’s very useful content. Can I ask how it takes to heal from blurry sight feeling and lights reflection as I did the PRK since one month, but I still have this issue and feeling Thanks in advance for you ranswer
Your eye will always be dryer after the procedure than they were before. Those nerves don't regrow to the same strength as they were before. It's a permanent change to how your tear feedback loop works. I'd suggest you strongly consider SMILE, ICL, or not doing refractive surgery at all.
Not with the new EVO lens. Cataracts have been overcome with this technology. Yes, the eye has to be opened. But that opening is on the side, where no light has to pass through for you to see and it's tiny compared to the cut of LASIK. In any case, SMILE beats LASIK in every scenario as a laser surgery.@@nahventure3873
Yes, PRK is very uncomfortable while your are healing. I had it done in 2021 with -6.00. I will tell you, though, that I experience large starbursts and ghosting around light at night. It is ugly and distracting. You need to have the surgeon measure your mesopic pupil size before. My vision has also regressed slightly. Think about whether these risks are worth it to you.
Had my prk two weeks ago , and I still see blurry specially from up close and its so annoying when reading , and iv been so worried this would stay like this , so any tips ?
Hey Sallykim, It's my 30th day post PRK surgery, I still have Light sensitivity toward sunlight, and still find's difficulty in seeing long vision, long vision is blurry and Night vision is still worst like i find lot of haze and scatter. Please reply
how much was your prescription, if you had a bigger number like 5 or more, that’ll cause a haze with PRK. are your eyes still dry? do you take systemic medications. my advice is consult your local eye doctor to further investigate. good luck

Bro after prk eye surgery which time you get 6/6 vision. Please reply
Like in 35-40 days
@@Pb02-t1t ok bro
@@Pb02-t1t thank you bro
It is unlikely. I had it in 2021 and I’m still seeing starbursts and ghosting.
How is your near vision? I read from some people that their near vision wasn't so good after surgery.
correct normally at the late 30s and 40 your near vision capacity to focus decreases. so If you are 40 yrs old and have done PRK or laser surgery, your near vision will be affected and may need glasses for near but this young lady in her 20s can still see close distance despite the PRK treatment.
Is it very painfull?
what was your prescription before surgery ?
-4.0 and -3.0 seems like nothing. I’m -6.5 and -8.0. Surgery tomorrow!
I have almost the same vision as you ( -8 / - 5,25 ) how was your surgery ?
@@ymir2957 good, still pretty blurry right now but I’m hoping it’s better once the contact bandages come out. Also I feel like 50% of the time the drops sting like crazy the other half they’re fine so maybe that just a me thing
Right now how was your vision.. hope all good..
@@katelynnleeworthy4989how have u been since surgery?
any updates? I hope that blurriness cleared up

Gentlemonster!!
How long does it take to get atleast 80% of vision
Side bar - where are your glasses from?
I’m 1 week post PRK. But I am still seeing ‘blurry’ vision (like the colors are a bit wet). Is this normal?
Goodluck
In general, do you think you have a low or high pain tolerance? I’ve been wanting to undergo lasik eye surgery but I’m really scared of the pain 🥲 lol
I think i have high pain tolerance..... but TBH your eyes are numb so the procedure itself is SOOO easy and not painful
Hi, I had PRK done in both eyes 3 weeks ago. I’m experiencing really bad double vision in my left eye, but my right eye is great. Did anyone go through this, and did it clear up?
Eye drop does clear your vision with time around 3weeks
I have ghosting and starbursts since my surgery in 2021. I am currently looking for a solution.
how are you feeling now?
Great video. I have surgery in 2 days .
Thanks.
PRK takes about a month for vision to stabilize, so having blurry vision at two weeks is normal.
any update ??
Yes, my prk eye is perfect. Just took a little longer to heal. The only thing is I do get random dryness in my eye in the morning that goes away with drops. I’ve started putting drops in my eye before bed and that takes care of it.
How many days does it take for your vision to adjust to what you see through your glasses?
normally as she said at least a week of recovery. you’ll notice immediate improvement after surgery, the sharpness comes after a complete healing process.
woooo perfect vision!!
What was your eye no before surgery
You're cute! 😍Darn, saw "husband" on your application. 😆 (found this looking into this procedure).
Thanks for the video. Wow, Cerritos...Just an hour from me. Sweet!
Can i play mobile games after 2months of my PRK SURGERY?
I have done my prk surgery 10 days before and today it's 10 th day ... But still i can't see things it is blurry or not clearer then before doctors are saying it happens.. but i m bit concern...wbu
any update i know its only been a day
what was your prescription prior to surgery?
I am going to have my PRK soon ..After how many days we can go back to work ?
till the first layer of the cornea is healed and the protective contact is removed which is as she said a week at least.
How is your vision now?
Hi Sally,
Thanks for the video, and it’s very useful content.
Can I ask how it takes to heal from blurry sight feeling and lights reflection as I did the PRK since one month, but I still have this issue and feeling
Thanks in advance for you ranswer
Any update about the vision. Does night halos go away?
How long did it take for your dry eyes problem to dissappear? I am going for the same laser treatment in a month and just want to be prepared
Your eye will always be dryer after the procedure than they were before. Those nerves don't regrow to the same strength as they were before. It's a permanent change to how your tear feedback loop works. I'd suggest you strongly consider SMILE, ICL, or not doing refractive surgery at all.
@@RasenRambo23isn't icl opening your eye to implant a lense? I was told these have increased chances for cataracts
I am 19 years old and thinking of getting prk. My eyesight is -5 and -5.5. But I'm soo nervous that it'll hurt 😭
Think about whether these risks are worth it to you.
your power is fit for lasik but not PRK. you should consult your eye doctor, my advice wait till your early 20s for the vision to stabilize.
Had my prk two weeks ago , and I still see blurry specially from up close and its so annoying when reading , and iv been so worried this would stay like this , so any tips ?
Hi..how old are you? Im in my mid thirties,i will be doing PRK next week..im so nervous as they often give warning about the age issue😊

any update?
how much was your prescription, if you had a bigger number like 5 or more, that’ll cause a haze with PRK. are your eyes still dry? do you take systemic medications. my advice is consult your local eye doctor to further investigate. good luck

that prk is really something she went from legally blind (20/200 and 20/400) to better than 20/20
Did you feel the clamps? That’s the part that freaks me out 😅
you’ll be given topical anesthesia you should not feel them.
How long did it take til your vision was crisp? Im 5 weeks from my TransPrk surgery and I still experience blurryness.

I am also thinking to do....its informative for me. Thanks...
Thank you for the video. Stumbled on your channel on the suggestion list after watching LASIK horror stories.
I'm thinking about going under the laser for LASIK or PRK surgery in the coming year (Depending on which one I'd be qualify for). I do have a question. In majority of the cases for reflective eye surgery patients experiences mild to severe permeant dry eye. Is that the case with you?
