Hi everyone! Dr Woo actually reached out to me and let me know that lasik can actually be a lot less than $6k especially during their promotions! It’s way more affordable than what I originally said and Laser Eye Center also offers no interest monthly payments as well so just come in for a free consultation! The price totally depends on what surgery you qualify for 🥰
I'm getting LASIK in a week and a half (super-excited!) and I came across this video. It was very informative and helpful. Thanks for sharing your experience!
omg we have the same vision (luckily, i don’t have an astigmatism)!! i love when people say their vision is bad and then i tell them my vision and they’re shook, lol!! you just gave me hope. I’m going to start looking into this.
I have the same exact vision as her also and I did not think I can get Lasik surgery because one of my eye doctors actually told me I couldn’t because my prescription was so high
Thanx for sharing your experience, i also got Silk surgery done in Dec. My specs power was around -6D. Dr, Rahil from Eye7 Hospital performed my surgery. Now my eyes are perfect and now i can see much better than my glasses.
Very educative video, thanks for sharing your experience, I have been thinking of doing Lazik on my eyes but I’m a little scared of it, watching your video made me feel a little better about it, thanks again 👏
I’m looking into getting lasik this year also. Thank you for providing super helpful content and all the questions and your experience were super helpful!
im getting lasik in 3 days. i literally can’t wait. my vision is -6/eye with an astigmatism. it costed me $5,000 here in Orlando, Fl. so far everything is going great. my cornea is a little thin but thick enough to do Lasik (rather than PRK).
@@Rhjnkiitewsxbmlp the first 2 days were super annoying for me with dry/sensitive eyes. after that it was just normal irritation you’d expect from lazering your eyes. but it lasts like 2/3 weeks total and it’s not that bad after day 5. it flies by. it’ll be a year in 3 months and i’m super happy i did it.
Thank you so much for sharing the experience! Were there any drops to numb the eye and any pain when it wore off? I am wondering if there is any pain during the journey!
Thank you for sharing your experience!! I’ve always wanted lasik, but it was expensive and anxiety 😅 And I recently got new glasses, so I want to wear that for at least a year to make my money’s worth lol. I know lasik is definitely worth the investment, so hopefully I can get it within the next few years!! I’m so tired of contacts and glasses haha
Wow my optometrist where I used to get my contact lenses kept telling me for YEARS that my eyes were not stable enough, they were too dry to get LASIK, I would need to keep waiting, the last time I went to get my eye test I was told the same thing again and I decided to go to a specialist. Immediately they told me I’m ready and a good candidate 😑 I told him my optometrist kept telling me I’m not ready and he said they’re told to do that so they can keep selling you contact lenses. To anyone being told the same thing, GO TO A SPECIALIST and a get an opinion, don’t trust your contact lens supplier, you’ll be waiting your whole life. I could’ve gotten it done 5 years ago! Regardless, getting it done was the best decision in my life
@Hew Jarsols they put numbing eyedrops and hold it open with a device, I was also worried before going into surgery but honestly the feeling of needing to blink wasn’t even there
Hi Christine! Thank you for sharing your video. There are not many shared experiences out there from people with higher prescriptions prior to the surgery. It looks like you didn't need any touch up after your first round? I did LASIK in Oct 2022 and my prescription was also on the higher end (R: -7.5, L:-6.5). Its almost 3 months now and unfortunately, my results are not as clear as expected. I went in for my check up to learn that I have some myopia left (on the lower range of -1.00). So now I have been told to wait for a little longer to see if the prescription stabilizes and I can make that decision for enhancement again. It is a sucky situation because while my vision has improved a great deal, it is still not clear to be enjoyed without glasses. Yes, I am back on glasses especially when its dark or when I am watching TV.
LASIK is a well marketed surgery. Everyone ends up in glasses again down the road. Also your eyes are 2.4% as strong and your corneal nerves thay produce tears are destroyed indefinitely.
Hi can I ask, were you able to see perfectly after surgery and then it gradually changed or was it not perfect from the beginning? I’m a very similar prescription to you and considering going for lasik
Please add the links to your friends who are getting different versions of eye surgery please! I have higher prescription than you so it'd be helpful ty!
Oh my goodness…when you talked about traveling and contacts and taking everything. That happened to me that I didn’t bring enough contacts and 1 ripped and had to wear my glasses. But when I got my glasses to wear, it was broken. It broke in my purse because I didn’t have it in a carrying case. I had to figure out how to tape it to wear for the rest of the time plus traveling home. Ugh 😩 i
@@roon66568 best decision of my life! No issues at all other than a little dryness every once in a while…but I think that could be allergies acting up a bit.
Hi just want to ask did you have any retinal holes during your retina checkup? please reply it wil be of great help for me since im also planning for lasik and i have high eye power
I’m going for a consultation this week, I’ve been watching reviews and confused. They say you can get halos or glare after surgery but I have astigmatism and was hoping the surgery would help with glare as it’s so bad at night trying to drive. As you have astigmatism can you say if it’s has helped with glare or got worse?
@@Dom4zvery good all things considered. the internet has very polarizing stories. Lasik either goes super good and you’re 100% in a week and others are nightmare stories. My recovery was very slow. The first 3 months were honestly difficult with dry eyes. But I’m a year out now and my vision is perfect and there is minimal dryness
the reason why I'm considering laser surgery is honestly because I'm tired of losing my glasses..... 3rd time is the charm, I don't think my vision is bad because I can "see" blurry from far, even at night. I just can't read text from afar, I could literally drive without glasses at night even though I see blurry, life just seems to suck more when you somehow keep losing the same bullshit!!!!!!! I just turned 31, 3 months ago btw.....
