This song was written as part of a collaborative project with journalist Zak Podmore, Dawn Kish, and the Glen Canyon Institute. Our adventure was sponsored by Carbondale Arts. In April of 2023 we took a boat trip on Lake Powell to retrace the steps of Katie Lee and the "We Three," exploring Glen Canyon while the water was at its lowest level in 60+ years.
