I personally think that 1 should pick fedora with kde for future and second thing is instead of manjaro I suggest to use cachyos for a few reasons like manjaro community has agreed that manjaro is not arch because manjaro is unstable and instead of using pacman it uses pamac which is weird

    a couple of notes:
while most distros will have a certain desktop environment preinstalled, you can install any desktop on any distro. even if you keep the same one, most desktops have insane customisabilty when compared to windows so you can change the way they look drastically just from the settings gui. don't let the way a a distro looks influence your choice
also, dont pick some super obscure distro that no one's heard about as your first daily driver. make sure to pick something well documented so you can find help if you need it. I would personally recommend something debian based for first distro. debian and all its derivatives are well documented and well talked about.
lastly, a tip I have is if you have picked something debian based (ubuntu, mint, PopOS, kali, parrot, etc) and you run into the problem, fixes for any of these other distros will likely work for you too. I daily drive debian and usually find more help from ask ubuntu threads than I do the actual docs.
oh wait one final point. you don't have to go arch based if you want a rolling release distro. debian has an unstable branch called sid. its almost impossible to find the ISO on their website though

I remember watching videos where they would try and help newcomers but wouldn’t go in to details about what a package manager or a desktop environment are. And honestly, when you come from win/mac, just knowing what a desktop environment is can help a lot.

I haven't used the other two so i can't say anything. Now i use Arch Linux because Manjaro managed to teach me everything i wanted on my journey towards Arch. So no complaints from me.

@@spoobspoob2270 Disagree with endeavor, I believe you shouldn't try to use arch until you actually understand your system, as it doesn't hold your hand like Debian or mint, endeavor tries to do that but, fails, since most people are going to run into an issue and break their system, if that's by installing a lot of packages from the AUR, in mint this process is a lot more unavoidable, it's better for newer users to use mint and load up a vm and use arch, and slowly learn it from there.

I used Arch (btw) briefly but found that the system performance drifted between reboots. Things would act differently or weird despite there having been no update, and often that would result in things like no sound, being booted back to the GRUB rescue shell, or garbled graphics. It's too unstable for me to consider wanting to use it as a primary driver, I'd have to wake up and worry if I'd have to spend half an hour fixing something on my Saturday morning. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

@@rerereuj"I use Linux as my operating system," I state proudly to the unkempt, bearded man. He swivels around in his desk chair with a devilish gleam in his eyes, ready to mansplain with extreme precision. "Actually", he says with a grin, "Linux is just the kernel. You use GNU+Linux!' I don't miss a beat and reply with a smirk, "I use Alpine, a distro that doesn't include the GNU coreutils, or any other GNU code. It's Linux, but it's not GNU+Linux."
The smile quickly drops from the man's face. His body begins convulsing and he foams at the mouth and drops to the floor with a sickly thud. As he writhes around he screams "I-IT WAS COMPILED WITH GCC! THAT MEANS IT'S STILL GNU!" Coolly, I reply "If windows was compiled with gcc, would that make it GNU?" I interrupt his response with "-and work is being made on the kernel to make it more compiler-agnostic. Even you were correct, you wont be for long."
With a sickly wheeze, the last of the man's life is ejected from his body. He lies on the floor, cold and limp. I've womansplained him to death.

For general usage, I recommend 3 Distros, these take care of your security, are well known and have sane defaults:
    LTS:
Ubuntu / Kubuntu, or maby some of it's clones like Mint or Pop, but I don't like, that they are based on Ubuntu and Ubuntu is already based on Debian ...
    Semi Rolling:
    Fedora Workstation / Atomic
    Rolling:
    openSUSE Tumbleweed / Slowroll

Nothing complicated just everyday things! Browsing the web, watching Netflix/UA-cam, running video game emulators such as the PS2 and N64. Last time I ran Mupen64 on Debian my whole system broke because certain programs would not shut down.
With MX Linux I ran an update via the MX Linux updater and that took out my wi-fi card.
On my mini PC I was running Mint and it would crash at least once a day if I was watching UA-cam or testing out my GPU.
All these distros probably work flawlessly on your machines but not on mine.
