I used to hold 39 stocks at one time, but now only planning to keep QQQ, SCHD and SPY along with 20% cash for selling options for weekly income! 33% in QQQ, 33% in SCHD and 20% in SPY along with 13-15% in selling cash secured puts. I am investing $110 per day in SPY to get to 20% of my portfolio.
Similar to Ryne, I sold apple, along with bank of America, both with decent gains. Offset by selling Leggett and Platt at a loss. Bought more schd, voo, vici, jepi, and new position in zoetis.
About a month ago I sold out AT*T & Portillos. 😂😂 Feels so weird selling, as a net buyer, but reinvesting those gains/losses in better moving companies is never a bad thing.
I’m still long Apple. I bought it several years ago and it has done exceptionally well for me during that time period. I think 5 to 10 years down the road, I will be very glad that I held it.
Me too I’ll never sell my shares of KO and will add to it as well, got a strong business, is a healthy dividend payer and let’s be honest it’s a brand that defines America and with generations of new and old customers the brand alone is worth its weight in gold
110% agree with your sales! SO & Apple both near their all time highs, KO is a very slow grower, absolutely find something to get more bang for your buck. Visa & Vici are absolutely going to supercharge your portfolio I feel! Visa is a monster compounder, and Vici has a high yield and able to average out 6%-7% hikes going forward, love love these plays man!

I recently sold Apple too and bought Waste Management for it. Main reason was, that Apple is facing headwinds especially here in EU and maybe after the US election. Waste Management is a solid business that is increasing dividends on a constant basis.

I recently sold out of T 117 shares and ended in the green $4.50. Then I picked up 40 shares of O now I'm up to 100 shares total of O. I plan to drip that position going forward it's my largest single holding. I also grabbed a share of VYM and V.
SOLD out of MTB back in May. MTB aquired one of my bank positions last year. SOLD out LEVi in April. Reduced positions in following since March: EMR / GE / MRK / QCOM / XOM. All sells initiated were profit taking as well as for cash building. Added to other long standing positions with a net YoY dividend increase of ~28%. {Watching market as we head into this 2nd half of the year. Though it is an election year, market appears to be building froth in certain companies and sectors. Something will trigger a sell signal but have not yet seen this materialize}.
I like the move From AAPL to V!!! Better yield and Div growth for sure! I will eventually also sell AAPL since I have it on my Income focus portfolio. Great update!!!
Every time you make a video like this. I have to go back and look into my portfolio and see what I can tweak!!! If I do decide to sell out my positions it would be Citi bank(C) and Union Pacific (UNP) then allocate to SCHD and VTI and open a Position in Costco(COST)!!!
I actually just bought into Apple about ago. I purchased 3 shares @ $177.64 in my Taxable account and in my IRA I sold off QYLD and ended up with 7.9 shares of Apple @ $195.41.

Great job! Ya know we all have a different approach with our investing. I'm 60 and I got way behind. I sold EPD and used that NICE profit and bought JEPQ and O. My goal is to get good monthly income rolling. However rotation is a key here, just because I sold a good company doesn't mean I won't purchase it again in the future. Buy low sell high and enjoy the divs as well!
Love all the moves here! V is at a perfect dip to buy on same thing with starting the VICI position! Your VICI drip will buy you around 1.5 shares a quarter assuming they stay around $28. Plus you increased your CAGR and yield so awesome moves across the board!💰👍

Nice gain on AAPL, not enough dividend growth. SO isn’t a favorite for me but selling KO is a tough one for me swallow. However, I am an age-based strategy dividend investor and KO is one you are still too young for due to slow dividend growth. Your money is better off in V. Will make your yield on cost soar years down the road. I do like VICI too. You’re a Vegas guy, you gotta hold some!
I recently sold out of a sizeable position in Stag, and put all the money into EPR. The dividend payment from Stag wasn't great, so combining the 2, I now get a much better dividend pay out. I'm also thinking of selling my holding in Tesla, and putting it all into a dividend paying stock Yes, I know Tesla could rocket in a few years, but age is against me, I need to have the money working for me now.

Did a similar thing a few months ago, sold a few very small positions and a couple losers. My portfolio is down to 14 positions. Reinvested everything I sold in O and SCHD
I sold my VOO position that had a lot of profit (close to 500$) and change it to SPLG, since its cheaper and it will allow me to buy more for the money that i deposit every month.
If it makes you feel better, Coca Cola (KO) is a major holding within SCHD, usually around 4-5%. So you are still exposed to KO if you maintain SCHD longterm. I wouldn't probably worry about maintaining a long position on KO outside of SCHD. Instead I would beef up positions that you have faith in that are not primary players in that fund
You bought some good companies. Love the move you made. I sold out of Pfizer, on a $900 lost , and locked some $2,700 dollars gain on JPMORGAN. Bought some 5 shares of Cotsco at ($730). 6 shares LMT at ( $460), about 7 shares of UPS ($134) and the rest of the proceeds of those sale I bought SCHD taking me 208 shares of SCHD. I still have 25 share of JPM. I am starting a new position on AVGO. I personally can’t get rid off COKE , company dividend is reliable.
I realize VICI's dividend is generous and is just under two thirds of the EPS, but overall, VICI's share price has been declining for nearly two years. While I agree that it is a good position to keep on one's watchlist, I don't see a solid reason to believe that the decline in its price per share is going to end anytime soon. Buying now seems like trying to catch a falling knife. This concern is further complicated by the fact that VICI specializes in casinos and entertainment properties, which leaves it extremely vulnerable to downturns in the economy. Also at issue is the fact that, being a REIT, VICI's dividends are never eligible for favorable tax treatment at the long term capital gains rates, although, if the position is held in a Roth IRA, that last point might not be an issue.

I waited till it climbed back up and I was in the green so it was great overall especially with those dividends, and you already know why I sold. I'm excited to exit VZ but will be holding until it comes up a bit more. The money went into SCHD, V, ODFL, and JNJ. Also had to buy some TROW recently, it helps boosting that div yield of the portfolio.
Good Morning Ryne, Nice job rebalancing with a dividend focused approach. For myself, just 3 sales, TSLA and trimmed a little of NVDA and XBI. However adds a month ago into TSM, PLTR, AVGO, CRWD, NET, . I think cyber security could be a nice play out since it''s an election year. Apple is typically a second half runner so 260.00 for Apple is my near term target for a trim. Currently, 35% Dividend and 65% Growth with an emphasis in tech.
I think buying Vici now is a good move especially if rate cuts come into play, it’s been hurting the real estate sector. Normally I wouldn’t advise selling Apple but since it was such a small piece of the pie and you didn’t plan to add more, doesn’t make sense to have multiple small positions in companies. Love the Visa/Vici choices! I made a similar move in my brokerage selling PepsiCo this week. It’s not because I stopped believing in them but it was part of an old company share purchase program and I only had 2 shares at a $112 cost basis before I left the company
Hey Ryne I have a question. So I currently have 2 ROTH IRA and 1 taxable account. The 2 IRA are both getting taken out from my checks and investing into the S&P 500 and my taxable has three ETFS including VOO and some individual funds. So my question is should I move my VOO to a Roth in robinhood and have 3 ROTH IRA investing into the S&P. Or does it make sense to keep those 2 ROTH how it is and just keep VOO in the taxable? Just wondering your opinion on that.

I personally think it makes sense to expand your number of holdings as your portfolio grows in size. With that said, I don't think you need like 40 different holdings with a $60k portfolio. I personally have less than 20 individual stocks and 2 ETFs at this point in time

You can change the currency to Euros, but unfortunately it won't make the conversion for you. You'd have to load the tickers on your exchange to have it show the price in Euros. Your dividend yield on cost for Apple is probably the same as Visa right now. Your selling of Apple is decent move but yield shouldn't be a factor, CAGR yes, yield no.

Apple is typically a second half runner so 260.00 for Apple is my near term target for a trim. Currently, 35% Dividend and 65% Growth with an emphasis in tech.

I think buying Vici now is a good move especially if rate cuts come into play, it’s been hurting the real estate sector. Normally I wouldn’t advise selling Apple but since it was such a small piece of the pie and you didn’t plan to add more, doesn’t make sense to have multiple small positions in companies. Love the Visa/Vici choices! I made a similar move in my brokerage selling PepsiCo this week. It’s not because I stopped believing in them but it was part of an old company share purchase program and I only had 2 shares at a $112 cost basis before I left the company

Hey Ryne I have a question. So I currently have 2 ROTH IRA and 1 taxable account. The 2 IRA are both getting taken out from my checks and investing into the S&P 500 and my taxable has three ETFS including VOO and some individual funds. So my question is should I move my VOO to a Roth in robinhood and have 3 ROTH IRA investing into the S&P. Or does it make sense to keep those 2 ROTH how it is and just keep VOO in the taxable? Just wondering your opinion on that.

Nice. You get to make money off of people when they go to Vegas to gamble, and you make money off of them when they go home and have to pay down what they racked up on their CC during the vacation.

Hi, love your videos and uploads! Just wandering, what would your thoughts be on the number of stocks if you have a $6k portfolio vs a $60k portfolio? Should my number of stocks and etf holdings be the same, or getting larger?
I personally think it makes sense to expand your number of holdings as your portfolio grows in size. With that said, I don't think you need like 40 different holdings with a $60k portfolio. I personally have less than 20 individual stocks and 2 ETFs at this point in time
I also sold KO this week. It was a big position for me, but the slow growth was my factor.
What did you reinvest that money into?

You can change the currency to Euros, but unfortunately it won't make the conversion for you. You'd have to load the tickers on your exchange to have it show the price in Euros. @@rynewilliams Yup! SO I sold in march, and AAPL was end of may or start of june. I just decided that SO doesn't have the div growth I want, since I'm only 30 years old. AAPL is maybe better suited for a growth portfolio, low yield + medium low div growth is not what I'm looking for in my dividend portfolio

Your dividend yield on cost for Apple is probably the same as Visa right now. Your selling of Apple is decent move but yield shouldn't be a factor, CAGR yes, yield no.
