I also like Chevron and am looking at buying more shares on Monday to lower my cost per share. I'm currently down 6.5% with them but I'm not worried because I also believe we'll be reliant on oil for a long time and I plan on holding them for the long term.

Only energy stock I own is EXC. it’s an electric and natural gas company. All other exposures for oil, gas, and energy is in my SCHD, DGRO, and VOO positions.

I like CVX and agree with you that oil & gas are deeply ingrained in our economy. It's not going away anytime soon. Right now I am adding to other positions I have when I get paid.

It's funny you should mention AGCO-they've popped up on my radar, alongside CF Industries, which makes fertilizers. But Visa and ADC are still the ones I'm lightly buying! And yes, as you mentioned NKE as well...

In Canada SU, CNQ CVE ENB, ARX, CS, XEG . I am looking into some US energy too. We have a treaty agreement with the US so we don’t get taxed from the IRA. I’m sure it’s the same for US ?

Man I know. I'm still staying patient with it though...anything's possible. I still feel good about holding the BDC's. We may see lower special dividends from them once interest rates go down, but I still think they'll be great dividend payers

I own shares of ENB (Enbridge) here in the USA. The monthly dividend has tax automatically withdrawn from each dividend check.

No difference. Capital gains from share price appreciation are taxed the same. Dividend income has some variance in how it is taxed though
