I take a sympathetic view of him. That doesn't mean I agree with what he did to Chris Rock. However, this is a guy who literally obsessed over her birthday, gave up many movie roles to be a stronger husband and father, and fears nothing more than becoming his own father, who was abusive and neglectful. The event at the Oscars was simply the tipping point. He initially was laughing at the joke until he turned to see his wife, who has been nothing but abusive to him for his efforts, and saw she was not happy with the joke. The slap wasn't over the joke. The slap was him taking out his frustration and feelings of failure on someone who was unrelated to the problem. The problem is, and continues to be his wife. A man can only take so much. She's chastised him, cuckolded him, completely embarrassed him and didn't return the same love he gave for her. I can honestly say, he deserves better.

Don't go to events where there are comedians if you cannot handle jokes !!! That was the nicest joke possible , he said love you and compared her with another beautiful woman in a movie with a shaved head. Not many women are lucky enough to look that good bald. She has a condition where you lose hair in clumps, which would really suck, many people go bald and can take a joke. I am blonde and can laugh at a blonde joke and even if l did not like the joke l would suck it up and take it, because l put myself in that situation or environment. My point is insensitive words are said often without malice or forethought. They have taken the higher ground and used the reference/ joke for awareness the following day and expressed how it had made them feel. That joke was not said to be purposely hurtful. There is absolutely no justification for what Will Smith did.

I don't blame jada for his actions, everyone is responisble for what they do. But I do believe that she caused him to do a lot of his actions. She is undeniably toxic, narcasistic, and controlling. Being in that enviroment combined with the toxicity of hollywood would be enough to bring anyone down.

There’s a big lesson is self awareness here. It’s crazy how you can go on a journey to self heal and be a better man, life is good, but when you’re linked to so much toxicity, be it from the public, against your own children, from your wife towards you. You have nowhere to hide, it’s in your house, in your blood, in your past, you feel guilty for so much, your past trauma resurfaces, the son wants emancipation, the list with this guy goes on and on, now his actions were wrong, but goddam if I was in his shoes I would’ve gone insane. These a big tragedies and a lot of them. He was hit with the death of a thousand cuts, but those cuts were deep.

What's even more upsetting is the fact that Jada refuses to take accountability for her part in breaking him. She comes across as someone who doesn't want to be married and in turn is hurting him because he doesn't want to end their marriage. Their relationship is so toxic I just wish they would just get a divorce and start healing and move on with their lives. I will continue to pray and hope for the best for Will Smith.
