This is hilarious. My sentiments exactly. Fake Amanda is sitting next to fake Steven. Amanda 2.0 mysteriously looks at least 10 years older than her British predecessor. What happened to Amanda's English accent? Oh, I forgot - fake Fallon adopted it when she recovered from amnesia with a new face! I am surprised Alexis didn't ask Steven who that woman sitting next to him was. Really loved seeing the Carringtons reduced to living in a hotel (the same hotel Alexis moved into after getting the boot from the mansion a few weeks later). What happened to the luxurious tri-level penthouse that Alexis had? Why would she not just move back there instead of taking up residence in a glorified Holiday Inn? This season was easily the worst of the show's run up to that point, but unfortunately, would get worse - much worse - the following season. Even fake Fallon - English accent and all - would skulk back to Denver after her show got cancelled and she got "abused" by aliens.
@@redletter2008 at this point they were cutting down on expenses and trying to centralize everything so that's why at the end of season 6 Dex and Ben had a dogfight in Alexis' penthouse (which I missed seeing afterwards) trashing many items and why they had the fire that destroyed the La Mirage hotel. It also partially was part of the reason they let Catherine Oxenberg go when she had the "gall" to ask for a (well earned) raise. Karen Cellini is 3 years older than Catherine - and as for accents, at this point the PTB couldn't care less about matching up accents of recasts to those who originated the parts.

@@vistaprime But Alexis was ruthless and in power. It's a soap let's be honest. She was powerful and stood up to Blake so their was empowerment. It is interesting or amazing how 35 to 40 years later people still talk as though this was real life.
Alexis was always in love with Blake. That was her main problem and that’s what triggered her. If she had moved on, she might have just tried to take over his firm or challenge him for business deals. But she was devoured by anger, bitterness and revenge. Her hate for Krystle was not rational. She even tried to convince him several times that they were meant for each other. But she was always rejected. She never forgave him for exiling her but she especially never forgave him for not loving her anymore.

I know i'm in the minority here, but I think Karen Cellini got shafted. She may not have been Bette Davis but she should have been given more of a chance. The way TPTB treated her was classless
I agree. She was probably recast at the last minute too so probably had zero chance to even figure out what to do with her horrible lines. She never had a chance with the way the show was written at this point.
