    I don’t know how you get so many ants. There is an ortho product that you can spray around the foundation of the house and around doors and windows to help keep bugs out. I think it’s ortho defense. You should try it so you don’t have to freak out at ants. Btw, they won’t hurt you. lol 😂

    • @plantsbymelissa

      My husband puts it around the house but I have no idea why they come in so easily. I think the EFN's were dripping onto the floor so they sensed the sugar scent possibly? haha

      Aside from Ortho get a exterminator to find the ant hill/base outside where they are coming in from and they can completely get rid of it.

    Ugh, I chopped my Aurea monstera about 9 months ago, and I had a panic because I couldn’t find the ax bud either 😂 I eventually used a scalpel to very carefully carve away at the place where the petiole comes off of the stem, and the bud was buried fairly deeply behind it. • @plantsbymelissa
      @plantsbymelissa  6 днів тому +1

      I used to buy the Mother Earth brand perlite. They have grades 3 & 4 and it's pretty coarse. For the prop mix it's a fine perlite though. For my aroid mix I just use pumice now and not perlite. It's roughly 3/8" to 1/2" in size.
