It was the year that IROC starting inviting champions from the lower NASCAR Busch Series, Starting with Johnny Benson. Frank Kimmel was the only ARCA driver to be invited into IROC. Ted Musgrave represented the Truck series
Why? They said on the broadcast that IROC changed the rule to allow drivers to change tires under caution. So what was the problem? Did the guys up front not know that they could pit? Seems pretty clear to me.
These drivers are asleep on the restart after yellow. If I was a crew chief I would be pissed. I see it all the time. Restarts are to critical to be lagging back.
All the info they gave during the broadcast about the development of the new car is super interesting. Maybe NASCAR can take some notes lol.

Agreed. Hearing those cars sing down the backstretch was cool as heck. What a beautiful sound those cars made!
I watched these yr after yr with my best friend when we were teenagers. We're both gearheads and love racing.
