Picking lone wanderer would have definitely helped, though when playing alone I always pick a follower, so I forgot about it’s existence. But I don’t mind, it just made the challenge more challenging! :D (same goes for taking companions in these videos)
just a note in the future if you ever do this run again there is a revolver shotgun mod you can use to actually get the ghouls main gun to use the MTS - 255 revolver shotgun

I'm amazed that you didn't add Cannibal as one of the perks much sooner, namely in the beginning, seeing that ghouls are cannibalistic and you could gain health by eating other ghouls. Plus you could have Dogmeat as a companion and still have the Lone Wanderer perk as it doesn't affect him.
One nit pick, I understand choosing the special due to game play reasons… however The Ghoul has official S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stats, so wouldn’t it have been more true to form to follow that?
True, though I wanted to use the intimidate perk, because it seemed fitting; problem is that it requires charisma 10, which drains my perk points. Same goes for the ghoulish perk with endurance 9. So I did think about it, but it was not feasible with what I wanted to do.
@@Ben_Boos You can choose to up your SPECIAL in this game, at any given level. It DOES NOT actually drain your perk points unless you only plan to play to a specific level. (There's also an argument you could make that before/even potentially after becoming the Ghoul, Cooper had enough Charisma as an actor and the literal face of the vaults as Vault Boy to stand at a base of 12 - and make purchasing things that much less painful) It might take longer to get your SPECIAL up to Charisma 10, but it's worth doing. [Especially if you tank your cha with beer first and then take the special book in Nate's home to make it a flat 11 - and get either all the barter books, or the bobblehead] * There's a trilby hat that's probably as close as you're going to get to Cowboy in this game... and that'd also give you enough Charisma to pass any check if your base is 10.
If you get enough radiation (I don’t know I don’t have the ghoulish perk) you start looking like a ghoul but when you get rid of the radiation sickness your back to normal
theres a mod called ghoulification on xbox which turns u into a ghoul btw, its a pretty good mod overall, so if u use xbox I definitely recommend it if you want to be a ghoul. It also nullifies all radiation, im pretty sure

Edit: I also just remembered, you could have had dogmeat along as well as Ghoul had his own dogmeat along for the ride in the show. But as you said, you like things HARD.

I think it would be sweet to be able to become a super mutant as well. Being a ghoul or super mutant would open up so many fun and interesting role playing experiences as well as build possibilities. A melee or minigun wielding super mutant would be super fun to play as. I wish they at least had the ghoul mask from fallout 3 in this game. Cause that would help to role play as a ghoul alot. I wonder why they didn't add stuff like that in the fallout games. 🤷🏻♂️
Very hard, purely for fast-travel. And I totally agree, it would be very cool to be able to play as a mutant, but I guess it was too much work to program all the voice-lines and interactions if they did that. A damn shame really.

As far as the voices go - Surely they have advanced enough tech these days that they could record the voice lines once like normal, but then digitally enhance and change the sound of the original voice to make it sound like a super mutant. That way they wouldn't have to record everything twice for a human and mutant separately. Anyways, just an idea. It would be so sweet if they had the option though. There would probably have to be 3 separate paths to the goal since some objectives might not be reasonably achieved by all 3 forms. I can't see you being able to go down the same paths as a super mutant especially since people aren't gonna be cool with you or interact with you the same. Some would attack on sight. So there would definitely have to be a different way to find Shaun lol. Imagine that meeting though! Player character meeting Shaun as a super mutant! 😂 Shaun would probably be more surprised than us seeing him as an old man lol. That would be kinda funny really.

Maybe i'm stupid, but i think he uses some kind sawed off shotgun and not a pistol. Also you can actually play as The Ghoul, with the vaultgirl preset and the play as a ghoul mods.
@@Mectiv1607 You need the “far harbor” dlc, then go to the most northeastern point of the land-part of the map (beyond the map border), from which you can take a boat ride to far harbor after doing a quest for the locals there. Next you can simply buy one from a vendor
@@danielledeangelis4950 No mods, the lever action rifle can be bought the second you step into the first shop in the far harbor dlc. The revolver is the standard .44 revolver from the base game. The hat was a cowboyhat from nuka world (minuteman hat or something similar would also work) and the outfit is the drifter outfit between sanctuary and red rocket (which can’t get ballistic weave for some reason). I hope this bible answered your question XD

found it, player.setrace - Changes the race of the player. Can be used to change into a Ghoul, Super Mutant, or a Synth. You can find a list of the race ID's using the help function. player.setrace Human - Reverts any race change. Note: Changing into certain races can crash the game

It is a mock-up revolver based on a revolving shotgun rifle. His is more akin in function to a .600 Nitro revolver used for hunting bears.

There are mods that fix the lever-action reload animation, but they always seem to break for me.
You probably could have used t45 power armour at a most since canonically he served with people kn t45, and i think he wore some himself as a result
