I’d say that King Crimson becoming intangible right before it would have obtained Requiem is still a case of fate deeming Diavolo unworthy of the requiem ability, it’s just that fate is the active agent i that choice and not the arrow.
the issue of the intangability arguement is that is the 1st time it physically broke king crimsons hand, then the 2nd time is the intangable , but that part might have been anime only for all i know
But why would Diavolo be unworthy? I know that the criteria for "worthiness" have never been mentioned but if Kira was deemed worthy by one of the arrows to receive its help I don't see why Diavolo wouldn't.
@@ElCocoLocoBarrocoComeMocos Kira's entire point as a villain is that fate was on his side. He was ALWAYS getting lucky breaks and shouting about how luck favors him. Meanwhile, Diavolo actively worked against fate.
@@kawaiizombiegal It's not an anime only scene, King Crimson's hand also cracks in the manga. However, in the manga, Diavolo also says that he never even grabbed the arrow. From the way that he describes it, it seems that King Crimson's hands breaking had to do with them returning to Diavolo's body. There is even a panel when they are just about to be sucked back where KC has a few crumbly bits surrounding him.
I don't like to think Diavolo was unworthy and thus got rejected by the arrow because if that was the case, then he wouldn't be able to win since he can't obtain requiem at all.
Fun fact: Killer Queen probably has a “Requiem” form. After Jotaro *d e s t r o y e d* Kira, Killer Queen had no cracks. But, after being punched by Crazy Diamond, a Stand with similar power as Star Platinum as of Part 4, Killer Queen had cracks. Gold Experience cracked as he became Requiem. Although not a Requiem stand, it probably has a separate form.
I think bites the dust is an evolution of a standing power similar to love train in part 7. Where the stand appearance does not change, but the stand obtains a new ability.
But you can also make an equivalent that the Arrow and the Corpse function in a same sense in granting stand abilities just in a different fashion. As well as granting/upgrading a stand with a new ability.
Love Train isn’t a upgrade to D4C it’s a separate stand. D4C just hides in the protection of love train. Gyro is seen being able to use love train before he dies but he decides not to since his fatal blow would be transferred to another human going against his morals.
But he was stabbed with an arrow and got a new ability. That ability was what he needed the most at that time, which would be bringing hayato back to life by rewinding time, as well as killing anyone looking for his ability. Sounds like an arrow that awakens a requiem ability to me.
I hadn't really thought about Giorno's growth being the main difference between him getting stabbed by the arrow during the Black Sabbath fight vs at the end of the part. I like that idea as a measure of his growth, and it also nicely ties into the themes of Sleeping Slaves, where we see that fate had been set on this course long before they all stepped into the coliseum. One could say the journey was a necessary part of the "Golden Wind" that ends Diavolo's evil reign.
Something important to note about it's design is that it seems to be a ver Stylized "Scarab" Beetle, this family of Beetles symbolize "Change" and "Rebirth" in many cultures, especially in the Egipcian Mythos. Scarabs are also common in JoJo, the Scarf of Lisa Lisa in Part 2 was made with the intestines of Scarab Beetles, the name and design of the insect was original, but the form of the body is still that of a Scarab, with the oval like butt, a Scarab Beetle is also the design for the Tower of Grey Stand in Part 3, a Tarot card that also symbolises "Change" or in this case a Dramatic almost Violent Change. In Part 4 Harvest also seems to be inspired in the Scarab design, Shigechi is the first one to battle Kira, starting that entire arc. Rhinoceros Beetles are also part of the Key Words for obtaining Heaven in Part 6, this are members of a sub family of Scarab Beetles. In general, this family of Beetles show up consistenly in the series, maintaining some sort of significance in each part with the exception of Phantom Blood. This does not mean however that it literally is the "Requiem Arrow", it could just have a Symbolic importance, like in all other parts. But I do think it's important to have this symbolism in mind, it really elevates this particular arrow into something trully mystical.
I always thought Requiem was like the Stand gaining a Stand. I mean it would make sense since Giorno isn’t even aware of Requirm but the stand is aware of this ability and actively uses it.
@@vangelisk.9306 Kira gets chosen (i.e. stabbed) by the Arrow after showing a strong amount of resolve, BtD is sentient as shown by the fact that it knows about the loops but Kira doesn't

What would be more interesting is the circumstances that would allow for the arrow to gravitate to those powerful stands. I hear your point but JoJo isnt DBZ or Naruto. I'd prefer if that shit didnt happen just for COOLNESS.
Though this theory is a bit of a stretch, it’s possible the whole ‘stand users being drawn to other stand users’ thing is either fate or the virus within the meteorite trying to make all living people stand users. The children of stand users have been shown to be born stand users, people who awaken their stands later on, or at least people born with the potential to have a stand. Over time, as more stand users are drawn to each other, children would be the likely and eventual result of them meeting each other. Meaning that, gradually, the world would become predominantly full of stand users. I apologise if that sounds wrong or incorrect but it makes sense to me.
Not a bad idea. Viruses might not be considered alive, but they have the same goal as all life: To ensure that their species grows and survives. So it makes perfect sense that the virus wants to make more of itself.
A torch of hamon passing onto the wax man and making him a candle-your not wrong brother-the stand is soul power and the virus is resolve to change your reality-as much as we do with our words and actions. But to use it as more so an agent/avatar of another realm/layer but making it more so an interlooper of realms as is the soul itself. The soul in of itself is a flame casting shadows-various shadows take shape and form on various planes and places but all is still part of the encompassing whole-the fire-the soul-the hamon-the stardust-the cosmic-a stand.
The "Requiem Arrow" is the same as the normal arrow because in Part 5 Polnareff says that "the arrow draws out stands from people that have potential but if it pierces a stand..." This implies that they are the same arrow except there are different results depending on what it stabs.
still doesn't make sense as to why SCR would make such a point on protecting the arrow, if every arrow could grant requiem then diavolo can just find another hes literally a mob boss
@@justsomeguywholikeswater3566Diavolo sold all of the other stand arrows besides one to enya, meaning he only has one arrow at his immediate disposal + stand arrows don't seem to be able to be located easily, so finding one is substantially harder than finding a stand user for example, especially since quite some time passed between part 3 and 5, scattering the arrows around the world as they're being used to create stand users. Also, if SCR/the gang didn't protect the arrow that Diavolo wanted, it would be an instant win for Diavolo.
The more virus = stronger stand argument falls apart when you remember Jolyne and Ermes received pretty strong stands from only a small piece of the arrow.
@@cryamistellimek9184 I like to think the piece of the arrow Jolyne got her stand from had a highly concentrated amount of the virus which is why she got a strong stand
I always thought its requiem ability was a result of the arrow manufacturer having had perfected the arrow making process. And the other batch of arrows were essentially successful attempts but not perfect like the beetle arrow in terms of craftsmanship.
@@DKKiller581 Yeah didn't Kars tried to use the red stones on the mask but failed so he wanted to get the "perfect" red stone otherwise known as the Red Stone of Aja? also the idea of the an item needing to be perfect plays a huge role in both Part 7 and 8 so there's that
I still lean more towards the Requiem arrow existing solely because of the design. While I understand the argument that it’s just there for meta narrative reasons it also seems kinda hand-wavy. But you make a GREAT explanation as to how it may not necessarily be special as an arrow it’s special thematically and narratively, and is most definitely true regardless of whether there really is a “Requiem Arrow”
Yeah, I can see where you’re coming from. I lean more towards the beetle arrow being no different than the others but the fact that it has a unique design bugs me when it means nothing. Sure it highlights it and makes it stand out so readers can more clearly see that it’s “that” arrow, but that honestly makes me wish that every arrow had a unique design. I honestly feel like this debate wouldn’t exist if either all of them looked the same or all of them were different. Hell, imagine if not all of the were arrows? What if there was a stand spear or sword?
@@gold_spin1639 That's true because the arrow given to Jolyne seems to have the same design as the arrows from part 3. Now that I think about it it would make slightly more sense if there was only one requiem arrow since you would think Dio would have thought of piercing stands with arrows to see what happens since it's confirmed he did a bunch of experiments with them. But it is strange that he wouldn't try it with the beetle arrow since it's the only one with a different design.
I really like how Giorno did not worthy enough for requiem at first. It shows his development throughout part 5. I definetly believe this more than Requiem arrow with only the design as the evidence.
@@muhammadaleem5846 Considering DIO was more focused on attaining Heaven, a process which would require destroying his stand, jacking up his stand's power seems like the opposite of what he'd want to do.
I think that btd is a pseudo-requiem stand. Killer Queen gained another ability that granted Kira's wish, fixing his mistake of killing Hayato. I think that the reason Kira did not get a full requiem stand is because the arrow pierced his body and not his stand.
@@wbbabeybladebattles5983 also to elaborate on my theory, why did kira have to use the air bubbles when SHA does the same thing but better? It’s because he didn’t have it after getting stabbed. Killer queens third bomb isn’t saying he has three bombs, it’s just the third bomb he was able to use.

Thank you for this video! You cannot believe the amount of times I've been called "an idiot who can't read" by people online whenever I mention that there is no official evidence regarding this. Fan theories are always interesting but it frustrates me when people act like fan theories are facts.
I like to think that in the Black Sabbath fight, the reason why Giorno wasn't granted requiem was because instead of allowing the arrow to choose him, the arrow was forced upon him, thus making it ineffective as the arrow needs to act of its own accord.
I think the arrow is somewhat sentient in itself, the same way araki plays with the concept of fate in jojo, the arrow is one of the main pupeteers of fate
We can even see an example of this back in Part 4, where Okuyasu's brother (can't remember his name rn) mentions that shooting random people with Stand Arrows has a high mortality rate; but when Kira's dad starts flying around and only shooting at the people the Arrow itself chooses, its mortality rate suddenly drops to 0.
To make an analogy to Pokemon, Bites the Dust would be the equivalent of a Z-Move (AKA an upgraded power/technique) while Requiem is equal to Mega Evolution (AKA the user/being itself undergoing an upgraded power boost for higher limits).
It never ceases to amaze me on how you put more perspective or logical analysis on subjects that really do need to be discussed or given context inside or out the community then any jojo content creator. You really make learning more about jojo fun.
An interesting thought that I haven't seen brought up just occurred to me. By definition, a requiem is a song, poem, or service in remembrance of the dead. One thing in common, with the stands we've seen go requiem, is that they have been used to kill intentionally, not just to injure (and not just in self-defense). Furthermore, when stabbed by the arrow earlier in the series, GE had not directly killed anyone (indirectly by returning Luka's shovel blow, though perhaps the stand considers this an automatic defense, or a suicide on Luka's part), so that could explain why nothing happened at that time. It would also connect Silver Chariot, Gold Experience, and King Crimson (who we know could and would have become a requiem stand if pierced), and honestly makes more sense the more I think about it, given the name of the ability. If we assume CK would not be eligible, perhaps the name could instead imply the need for the affected to have experienced the loss of a close friend or loved one. Or perhaps either criteria could be applied independently. Food for thought, I guess.
5:54 In fact, there is nothing to suggest that the virus causing a stand is even an actual byproduct of the virus. We know that stand abilities are capable of being awakened by trauma, it could just be that surviving a usually fatal alien virus is the perfect cocktail of mental and physical trauma to awaken a stand ability in one go. All humans have varying levels of stand potential or lack thereof, so there isn't any way to know whether or not a stand awakening from the virus is actually caused by a property of the virus specifically or if it is just a natural bodily response to a trauma specifically like that. I mean, a hamon user or a spin user with no relation to the arrows at all can awaken stands just through mastering their ability.
personally, I always thought that the arrow was never important I never thought that the virus gave them a stand just awakened it. Example pearl jam was awakened by hard work and dedication I feel like this is right cause of how stands are designed and how they evolve. Araki makes the stands then the character around the stand, stands are a manifestation the of soul, fighting spirit, personality. Stands evolve when a character develops best example is echoes every time Koichi develops so does his stand. This is why I believe someone who has stand potential could be killed by the arrow if they're not fully developed personality wise they will die. Example Johnny lost his stand temporarily he was not developed as a character to develop a stand, but the corpse forced him to he could not retain his stand until act 3. In summery my point is if someone has stand potential which i think is genetic, they have their stand since the day their born but have to awaken it i first thought this when i first watched stardust crusades when polnereff had his stand as long as he could remember
A stand is something that was always there within someone's soul, what the stand virus does is pull it out (or give shape and abnormal abilities to it if you wanted to call it that way)
Damn, I made a comment mid video before finishing (at around 5:14) about how with the "more arrow=more virus" is flawed because of Jolyne and Ermes, only to keep watching and have that be the exact thing you mention right after I finished writing the comment.
I like the idea of araki giving kira btd is a Early idea of requiem because it fits like the normal arrow cant give requiem but finds someone worthy enough, since there isnt a requiem the arrow decides to pierce the stand/user, but not giving requiem makes the arrow only give a new ability
You should definitely do a video on what you'd like to see for part 9. -Expectations -Wants/ Don't wants -Hypotheticals and things that will likely happen One thing I'd like your opinion on is what do you think a possible satisfying ending to the JoJo Saga as a whole would ideally be like. Should it satisfy the SBR-verse similar to part 6? Should they do something similar to Eyes of Heaven? Or should they indefinitely make new SBR-like canons? Etc
I have a theory that when a stand is pierced with the arrow they are given a new appearance and ability but when a human (who has a stand already) is pierced with the arrow they are given a new ability.
I believe that there is a Requiem arrow, but just like how not everyone pierced by a regular stand arrow will awaken to a stand, not everyone whose stand is pierced by the Requiem arrow will achieve Requiem.
Everyone can get requiem stand but only from the beetle arrow(requiem) I strongly disagrees with Hamon beat Polnareff was not worthy or strong enough to wield the requiem stand so his stand goes berserk but if someone is strong/worthy enough than they can get a requiem stand like Giorno
My theory: polnareff said you need to pierce your stand with a stand arrow an order to get requiem, kira pierced himself not the stand so killer queen bites the dust is not a requiem stand but a psuedo requiem of sorts, if kira had actually pierced his stand it would have been an actual requiem so therefore the arrows are most likely the same, also the reason gold exp didn't go req against black sabbath is bc he only got lightly stabbed by the arrow and might not have been worthy of the arrow yet like how he almost wasn't against diavolo
This patterned with the idea that the arrow of requiem has a slightly higher dose of the virus introduced, would make it all make sense. It would help the case of giorno not being worthy in the beginning of part 5, and that he was barely worthy at the end. The higher dosage might mean that it’s easier to be worthy. So then bites the dust would also be a pseudo requiem because he wasn’t worthy enough and also didn’t get the higher dosage. And also cause he pierced himself and not his stand
I just assumed kq's ambitions was powerful enough to get a Crack at requiem, but without that dream that giorno or diabolo has, nor the more potent beetle arrow, he couldn't get it completely
@@johnlucas2838 Well, he didn't When he understood that his quiet life was over, he panicked. He didnt show to be willfull or to have the resolve to get what he wants even when all hope is lost, because when all hope was lost, he shivered in terror. Giorno didn't give up even when his body was exploding into pieces, because he had the resolve, he had the will to continue even if continuing was useless (pun intended), but Kira didn't, and that's why his ability is just a bastardized version of requiem.
It's very interesting to ponder around concepts like these, what I've learned is that "fate" in JoJo is of course a manifestation of what Araki himself believes should be happening in the story, so the story may evolve in ways that are "inconsistent" with the things that happened already, but in reality everything is consistent with the first principle that the joestar bloodline is fated to fight "evil", everything comes after this. It's also nice to see a story take its own path, decided by the author, even if the whole "Araki forgot" thing started from this thing going on.
There’s a video glitch on UA-cam where it loops on a specific point over and over and I swear on everything I love that the video looped when you said “is definitely the power of requiem.” Perfect timing.
Ive always thought that it had something to do with the fact that giorno also received a fatal wound from the arrow into his stand, (and therefore his own body as well) maybe something to do with the faith that the arrow will work? I dont know
@@drye135 I think there's a bit more to how the transformation works, with how, right before Polnareff died, he stabbed Silver Chariot in the face, but then we see an imprint of the arrow on Silver Chariot Requiem's neck despite it being a completely different spot, and we see both Kira and Gold Experience have the arrow go through their arm and reach the neck, in GE's case, it happening _after_ the stand was already stabbed once before, so I think that upon being stabbed, the arrow has to reach the neck before the transformation is fully realized, and that's why Polnareff was able to undo SC's requiem evolution, 'cause at the time only its finger was pricked. Though I mean, this would still happen to Giorno in the Black Sabbath fight if he was worthy/the arrow was the beetle one/both/whatever really, the only difference when taking this into account is that Giorno'd be all worried about Black Sabbath, get stabbed and then suddenly the arrow flies into Gold Experience's arm for some seemingly inexplicable reason before his stand actually transforms.
@@Estra_Estra yes, and its also worth noting that chariot requiem is not actually a requiem stand, its an incomplete requiem stand. Thats why its called chariot requiem, and not Silver Chariot Requiem
I definitely think a video on resolve/willpower would be neat. Giorno having the resolve to obtain requiem, kira having the resolve to obtain a "peaceful" life and so on.
9:45 Okay, that makes no sense to me, cause Stands aren't physically INSIDE someone's body, so they don't need to be intangible in order to be with their user. Why is part of the body returning policy them becoming intangible? That's so contrived just to have Diavolo not get the arrow.
The reason why King Crimson became intangible is because Diavolo temporarily became a soul without a body during the swap back. During the Silver Chariot Requiem fight, Stands are shown being used as a representation of their user's soul, especially in the case with Diavolo and Trish, who are both sharing Mista's body. When Bucciarati sacrifices himself to destroy Silver Chariot Requiem and everyone returns to their bodies, it takes them time to return to their proper bodies, and during that time, Bucciarati, Trish, and Mista are all in soul form. In this moment, King Crimson is not being properly manifested as a Stand, as Diavolo temporarily doesn't have a body, and is instead being used as a representation of his soul. Everyone else is shown as their proper soul forms instead of as their Stands, but at this time Trish is unconscious, Bucciarati has *been* dead and his soul is finally passing on with no body to return to, and Mista's Stand was never used to represent his soul because it's a multi-body Stand with its own personality and not a humanoid Stand. Even if the soul transfer was instantaneous, which we see it clearly isn't, Diavolo's actual body was now too far away from the arrow to pick it up, as King Crimson is a short-range stand and we see that he's at least 3-4 meters away from Giorno after he returns to his body. This is also why Narancia's death ultimately WASN'T pointless. It was cruel, he didn't deserve it, and he didn't make a noble sacrifice like Bucciarati or use his final moments to leave a crucial message like Abbacchio, but him dying and Giorno getting his body back early meant that when SCR's soul swap ability was undone, Giorno was the only one who didn't need to return to his body, and was therefore able to grab the arrow while SCR's effects were being undone.
My bug argument for the beetle being a reqium arrow is this: Surely if the arrow Polpo had could grant Reqium, it would have already, and thus Diavolo would know about it. Black Sabbath is an ability that actively draws out a person's stand (of they have one) and tries to pierce it with the arrow. The whole point of the test is that it either awakens a stand or weeds out people who already have them. The possibility of people having stands is part of the point of the test. Surely, with the probably hundreds of people that Polpo has under him (only including the ones who are alive. There are probably way more that died as a part of the mafia), surely one of those people would have a requim stand, then Diavolo would find out about Reqium, and he would have gotten it before the part even started.
When I first read part 5, the friend of mine that read it before me called it “the requiem arrow” so I was just under the impression that it was a special arrow and never really thought much of it
Okay, a few things about kira and bites the dust. On the topic of Killer Queen not changing at all, this is easily explained by the fact that it wasn't the stand that was pierced. *KIRA* changed in appearance, with his weird wavy black and white hair. Bites the Dust makes sense as a requiem, because it fulfills all requirements. It fitted Kira's exact need at the moment, it is supremely powerful (control over time), and is another ability. Bites the Dust as just another ability also makes sense. Killer queen already had another ability outside of the bomb, that being Sheer Heart Attack. This ability already feels out of place compared to the actual stand, so it is not so far off that the requiem manifests as simply another ability.
are there any natural stands? or are you talking about abilities that aren't stand related? I'm pretty sure all the stands are derived from the devil's palm or the wall eyes
So much ignorance lol. Not just you but the 50 plus people who also liked this. Avdol, Tonio and the Cindarella chick were not pierced by the arrow. Stand abilities also can take form if a person has a strong enough will or passion for their craft. There's nothing specifically naturaly about it in parts 7 or 8. It's been a thing since the first episode of part 3....
maybe it's just a way of representing the way that arrow was made for Giorno? Like, it is a beetle after all, and the one user to have a completely functional requiem is the one who can create life, so maybe he was "fated" to have the arrow
I've always thought of Bites The Dust as a sort of prototype for what would later become Requiem stands. Araki came up with the idea of Kira being in a dangerous situation, and through fate or luck, he got pierced by the arrow which granted his stand a new ability but still kept it as the same stand. Then when Part 5 was getting made, Araki might've looked back at what he did with Kira and thought it might be interesting to bring that idea back, a stand arrow granting new abilities to an existing stand. That might explain why it happened later near the end of the part, after the Black Sabbath fight when Gold Experience first got damaged by an arrow. Araki might've then come up with a new arrow that was meant to unlock an upgraded stand, and he wrote the climax and a chase for the arrow around that.
A family bloodline fighting an immortal vampire is about it. There are a few references to Jojo in later games like the Stone Mask item and the Fist subweapon releasing an ORAORAORA cry when used as examples.
I have a very certain theory about this argument. Every arrow is able to grant a stand requiem, but the beetle arrow is simply the most potent stand arrow for both giving stands and evolving them. Seeing as diavolo got KC from it, and Pucci got Whitesnake from it, as well as it being implied that dio got TW from it due to him having it in SO. I think bites the dust is a requiem stand, but it pierced the user and was only the normal arrow, hence why it didn't change his stand's appearance. But it did give him a requiem type ability due to it being entirely based on his extreme desire to undo his mistake, and the arrow choosing him due to it. In other words, I think the beetle arrow is special, and that it gives the strongest requiems with full appearance changes along with regular strong stands, but requiem itself is something possible by all arrows.
I feel like worthiness is also tied to a stand user's skill or ability with their current stand. Like you have to completely master your stand and understand it's potential before you can achieve requiem because the additional power for someone who can't handle what they already have would be wasted. Like when Giorno is pierced by black sabbath, in addition to his experiences and journey not having evolved him mentally and emotionally, he also hadn't fully grasped the power of GE. Things like healing and replacing body parts and whatnot hadn't even crossed his mind and so a part of his power and potential hadn't been utilised so he wasn't worthy of having even more power as he couldn't grasp and make use of the one he had already
In Kiras case, he had full understanding and mastery of his stand and it's abilities from his years of killing and then his initial fights against other stand users basically completing his 'training' and putting him in an even greater position of understanding. But his mental state wasn't suitable and so having a full requiem upgrade would still be too much for him but a single additional power instead of a complete evolution would be manageable for him who was almost entirely worthy of having requiem
In my opinion the Arrow is only activated only by a desperate situation where you think about only one solution of escaping, only then the Arrow grants that extra ability
@@JM-dr4kj oh I understand now I mean that would be cool in a way like somehow d4c brought one or something. That’s a cool concept tho maybe the corpse parts could also be requiem in a way

@@JM-dr4kj I always likes theorizing what Requiems other stands would get like it makes sense that KCR (King Crimson Requiem) Would be like a Video Editor
I'm just giving my opinion , but I think maybe for me , one of the factors for a stand to become a requiem is maybe the contact it has with the arrow and also a reason for that : if a stand takes a simple cut by the arrow , it just will have a wound; but if you have more contact with the arrow and a reason it will become a stand requiem (example: having an ability that can stop the power of the king crimson ); this is what i believe
I have a question regarding requiem abilties I've heard that the powers of requiem are determined by what the user's most wanted desire is at the time they're pierced, but I don't remember that ever being stated in jojo. is that actually true or is it just a fan theory?
Replying so I get a notification once someone answers. I think it was mentioned in the story, but I'm far from sure, I simply don't remember, and I'm really curious.
It's a fan theory with good evidence, Giorno needed a way to revert the timeskip and Pol needed a way to get the arrow away from Diavolo. The abilities both make sense in context of what they wanted when they got stabbed by the arrow. The only thing that goes against it is that Chariot Requiem was created without that need of running from Diavolo but I guess some other Jojo fans can debate that cause I'm donna wanna respond to 500+ messages.
It’s a fan theory but if you analyze the abilities of each requiem and the situation their user is currently in, then that fan theory makes 100% sense and it’s the reason why most use that theory as fact because of it making sense. (Of course it’s not 100% true statement because it’s not by araki or other official sources but it’s one of those statements widely accepted in the community)
The "more poison = more power" makes kinda no sense to me cause doesnt one's stand come from their soul, i mean jotaro had a strong spirit he got op stand star platinum and koichi had a weak one so he got an egg as as a stand that helped him evolve his spirit. Maybe im just making stuff up, probably i am.
No, your point is great. I agree completely. It doesn't matter how concentrated the virus is, your stand's strength is reflective of your will to fight. A stronger fighting spirit correlates to a stronger stand.
I think it depends on "Worthiness". Because Giorno wasn't worthy enough, he was taking damage instead. But after his resolve in the end of Part 5, he was able to achieve requiem. And it Kira's case, he wasn't worthy, but the arrow noticed his desperation for an escape ability. Thus, granting him the 3rd ability Bites The Dust but not the full requiem.
Something worth noting is Giorno points out how much the arrow hurts when it touches his stand, so maybe that's evidence he's not worthy, 'cause maybe that's the arrow rejecting him? It might just be a small little quirk of the arrow, and I'm not to keen on the idea that Araki planned it all from the start as opposed to coming up with it later but naturally working to make things consistent, but even so, I'm not sure what the point of the arrow hurting stands more was.
the worthiness thing with Giorno might have been foreshadowed in the previous part DiU showed this with Koichi. started out being only able to draw out Echos as an egg, but then he grew with his experiences to the point where he could make a genuinely powerful stand after growing in battle
I like to think the arrow is special in at least some way, how it was able to awaken Weather Report without having contact with the body of the user, just with Pucci. We've seen that a similar blood connection awakend stands of the Joestars when Dio was pierced (however it is hard to say whether it was caused by the beetle arrow). We never really saw the same happen with normal arrows. If I remember correctly Keicho Nijimura mentioned that had pierced himself and Okuyasu individually, so there was no special stand awakening bloodline connction there. I think Yoshihiro and Yoshikage Kira also were mentioned to have been pierced separately.
Some bloodlines specifically are mentioned as having psychic connections The Joestars, Pucci and Weather and Diavolo and Trish We see it have other effects too, like presence sensing
@@BlueMageDaisen Yeah, Im just saying that we've only seen this specific bettle arrow do that, or at least that the person who did it was known to be in possession of that arrow at the time
1. Evolutionary stands such as "Echoes" and "Tusk" who are able to become stronger as the user themselves matures and grows. 2. If a stand user themselves is pierced by a stand arrow, the stand does not evolve into requiem. But gains an additional ability or growth in power. 3. If a STAND is pierced by the stand arrow, it evolves into a requiem stand. I think this theory is pretty consistent with all the Info we have on stands and the arrows. But it's a theory nonetheless.
2 and 3 are the same, the Ability Kira gains is following the same rules Giorno’s did, It was what he most wanted at the moment, and he got the perfect ability to do it just like giorno
I don't think discounting the "beetle arrow" as purely visual is really accurate given araki is the type to think through implications very heavily, even a squirrel in a cover page is something he puts a lot of thought into him internally making it unique in form and the only arrow to display that power seems to convey "it's the only one that can produce requiem" a lot more cleanly then saying it's just purely visual. but besides that, it's just the cleanest explanation since it covers a lot of area's people would call plot holes in the previous parts and keeps things simple and structured since the concept of "worthiness or capable" is a bit more arbitrary and up to debate than a hard rule on which arrow can create requiem. edit: I'm seeing many people label calling the requiem arrow "headcanon" regardless of evidence please don't stop debating.
@@tomc.5704 yes, but my point is that concept of who is more worth is an extremely debatable concept and has areas of argumentation, whereas the pure "requiem arrow" is a lot simpler by comparison and requires less headcanon to understand which is why I believe it being unique was the intent.
The only other reason I could imagine for Araki to give it a unique design is because he already knew he wanted to later on give Pucci the same arrow in his flashback in part 6. Though I find that kind of unlikely. So I agree that unless araki planned out so far ahead I see no reason to differentiate it without it having a reason to be special.
The only issue I have with this is that we aren't looking for a simple answer, we're looking for the best or at least closest to the intended metalore answer.
@@arandomperson7744 just becouse it's the simple answer doesn't mean it's also not the most correct or intended answer, all the other theories (outside of the beetle arrow being unique) has far more holes and problem then the beetle arrow, so by default it is the correct answer since it can be seen that only it can produce a requiem stand it is a requiem arrow.
Also thank you Hamon Beat for answering the about Killer Queen BTD not being a Requiem Stand since I always though BTD was a Requiem but I come to realise the differences between BTD and Requiem
Beetle arrow is a stand. There was only enough metal to make one arrow, which he made, which then just made more. The normal arrows are parts of the stand or the manifestation of its ability. I don't believe this, it's just a fun though that the meteor was sentient and the virus was basically its stand that existed to make more stands.
When you said that “because Diavolo used his stand to cheat fate” it made perfect sense why fate decided he wasn’t worthy to have a requiem. Not because the arrow did it, but fate alone decides who deserves the requiem stands.
I'd say MiH, D4C, Tusk Act 4 The problem with G.E.R is that we weren't given enough information on it, we aren't exactly of its ability to reset things back to zero is passive or not, it's powerful but it isn't the end-all-be-all many conclude it to be
Correct me if I am wrong but At 4:00 you say that the stand arrow that polio had was broken but I don’t think that is relevant because Jolene receives her stand from a fragment of an arrow
Thanks for these videos. I got tired of arguing with people in comments sections on this topic, only for them to use logical fallacies or name wiggle out of the debate. Your points are much better too. I'll just be referred people to your video from now on. Thanks again, man, and have a wonderful day.
My theory: Any arrow can turn stands in requiem, but a requiem can only be made if there are no other requiems nearby. In the fight against Black Sabbath, Giorno didn't get a requiem because (in theory) Black Sabbath was a requiem. Why would Black Sabbath be a requiem? First, he was carrying the arrow inside his mouth all the time, so he most likely pierced himself with the arrow sometime. Second, like GER, he had stand arrow stamps on his hands and around his neck (not a relevant argument, but no other stand have those stamps aside from GER, so might be a clue, or maybe there is and i'm wrong). Third, Black Sabbath powers is quite broken. It's quite complex to explain but basically anyone who steps on the shadows can have his soul grabbed by Black Sabbath. If the person is a non-stand-user, his soul will be pierced by the stand arrow carried by Black Sabbath and either the person will become a stand user or simply die. An stand user will have his stand grabbed by Black Sabbath and the arrow will pierce the stand, and as we've seen with Giorno (and considering that no stand could become requiem nearby other requiem) this probably would kill the stand user. Basically, during the night Polpo would be fucking invincible, or at least really tough to fight against, and looking at Polnareff requiem, one don't need to be totally unbeatable like GER. Polpo maybe stood on the prison to keep his discovery on secret, but for that i don't have any arguments. This might be the reason why Diavolo also didn't transform his stand on a requiem. Maybe during the scene where Diavolo was desperately trying to pierce King Crimson with the arrow, Silver Chariot Requiem was technically still active. This was more about "Black Sabbath is a requiem" than anything else but it fits the topic, i think. Sorry if i've sounded like a dumbass on some parts, english is not my native language.
i think we can resolutely say that there isn't enough proof to entirely claim either one. it's unfortunate that we might not ever see a complete answer to this question now that the series has moved on from stand arrows. i wonder if there's a corpse requiem capability.
I just think it makes it cooler if beetle=Requiem just a normal arrow being good enough just makes Requiem feel less rare and special so headcanon wise I’ll just say it is.
To be fair, barely anyone know about the stand arrows being capable of granting more abilities. The only characters alive that know of this are giorno, polnareff, trish and mista. I doubt jotaro knows considering he never tried using the arrow for those purposes in part 6 (if I remember correctly) normal arrows giving requiems isn’t a issue considering only a few know of this secret and will likely keep the secret to avoid stand users going into rampages searching for the arrow
@@Theamz It’s not inconsistent but idc just the idea of every arrow having it is lame to me and makes it frustrating thinking that Jotaro could have spammed Requiem and Josuke heal him even if he didn’t know
@@Sun-cg6lv I mean diavolo at one point had all the arrows at once but never had the thought of piercing himself again, same logic for everyone who has ever held a arrow until polnareff accidentally cut himself with the arrow
also, about the thing with dio and jotaro obtaining their stands from the beetle arrow, this also states that the difference between beetle arrow and regular arrow applies to the distress signal stands which wouldn't make sense since we cannot assure hermit purple is a stand at the level of the world
Joseph already had hermit purple before part 3 and Dio being impaled by an arrow so the only other stand this could apply to is Holly's stand which you could say it was too powerful for it's user to control and caused her to begin to die

If you haven’t already, could you perhaps make a video about the Rokakaka fruit? It’s origins, what it does, the requirements for it to do what it does and both its relevancy and impact on the plot of Jojolion.
Most of that stuff just hasn't been explored yet, maybe it'll be like the arrows, they were introduced in part 4 but their origin was explained in part 5, following that path, probably the rokakaka's origin will be explored in the next part
Im pretty sure the rokakaka fruit does an equivalent exchange. By that I mean it brings back one of your body parts, by removing another. An example is, imagine you lose an arm, you could eat one and get back the arm, but lose a leg. Its been a while since I finished reading JoJo so I may be abit wrong
Actually I consider bites the dust as a simply powered up variation of killer queen like it always had this potential but never truly could use it without the regular arrow drawing out a good bit more power from Kira or maybe it is a partial requiem where it simply gains a ability but no physical evolution being weaker than a actually requiem but still being powerful
I don't think there is a requiem arrow since they were all forged out of the same stuff. I think just the beatle arrow might have been the first one crafted and was made nicer to mark the success
The best theory that I've heard about the beetle arrow is that the beetle it's just decorative and that Bites The Dust and the Requiem are just the result of the virus evolving, just like viruses do in real life (except that virus irl don't give you superpowers lol)
This video and the discussion of the meteorite makes me wonder. What if Mikitakazo/Earth, Wind & Fire is actually an alien, and is from from a planet where the virus is so ingrained with their physiology over countless generations, that they no longer see stands, but still possess their abilities? 🤔 maybe even the planet the virus originated from?
First off this was a great video highlighting the arrow’s history and prosperities and I always kinda thought that, in fate’s perspective, Diavolo and King Crimson were like glitches since they were able to bypass fate. I think even if he succeeded in killing giorno, like he was supposed to, he still wouldn’t have gotten requiem, if that makes any sense
Quite a few counterpoints here. To establish one thing right off the bat, there isn't necessarily any definitive proof as its never explicitly stated meaning we're only left with anecdotal evidence. However, the anecdotal evidence lines up enough that it seems to me to be clearly a deliberate hidden detail on Araki's part. For starters, on the topic of the beetle arrow also granting stronger stands. This is something i strongly believe in which i have a few counterpoints against the video regarding. Firstly, regarding the whole "amount of the virus" idea. We know nothing about how the virus works as it is obviously well outside the realm of what we know to be capable in the real world, nor do we know anything about how the arrows harness the virus as their creation is so heavily convoluted. It is possible it grants stronger stands thru something completely unrelated to size or virus amount, and also possible that somehow the arrow size or shape alone is responsible for how much virus someone receives. Simply put, we know next to nothing about the virus or the arrows so we have no understanding about how the virus or a supposed stronger arrow would even function, meaning we cannot blatantly state it impossible. Secondly, regarding the comments on what arrows both Dio and Diavolo used. Both Dio and Diavolo were in possession of the beetle arrow while they did or couldve awakened their stand. Both of them are both intelligent and resourceful on their own as well as having acquaintance with Enya while possessing the beetle arrow. If the beetle arrow is stronger, it can very reasonably be assumed both of them knew and used it either through Enya or an assumption based off of the arrows particular design or both. Furthermore, this means the beetle arrow like created every single time altering stand in the original universe except for Made in Heaven (Killer Queen only received any time altering ability after receiving a strange power boost of its own), and Araki himself has stated he considers time manipulation the ultimate ability (which is why he gave it to every final stand wielding villain in the main uni and even the first alternate uni part thru alt Diego) as well as referring to time stop as the strongest ability. Its also worth noting that Man in the Mirror was stated to be fairly weak in physical strength due to its powerful ability despite both time stop stands being some of if not the physically strongest in the series. Moody Blues is also shown to be similar in speed and strength despite only having the ability to look into time without altering it. Aside from time altering abilities, the beetle arrow would presumably then be the source of Crazy Diamond, another stand with absurd physical strength and speed paired with a still powerful ability, Whitesnake, which controls the very soul itself and literally removes and adds stands alongside more than a few other functions (all without sacrificing its large range and user control), Weather Report, which... I mean... Heavy Weather, and Hermit Purple, which despite probably sounding weaker at first as its extremely utility focused and lacks almost any combat capabilities, it does outclass most stands with its sheer versatility tapping into literally any medium (including the falling of dust) to display extremely specific information over a notable area (such as the closest tar drum in the city). Even similarly utility focused stands lack this extreme level of versatility, detail, and effective range all in one. And another point to further reinforce the anecdotal evidence for the stronger stands, the only two (possibly three if you count Trish although this is arguable and inherently different) cases of family awakening stands, the Joestar and Pucci families, are within this same category of stands very possibly created by the beetle arrow. Meanwhile, when Koichi was shot by the arrow his family never seemed to be affected, whereas its shown that incapable users are harmed by their own stands, even with family awakenings (such as Holly). Every other case of multiple stand users in one family, namely the Darbys and Kiras, it is both possible and plausible that they were pierced separately or developed their stands separately. This plausible piece of anecdotal evidence exactly lining up with the already very particular and consistent anecdotal evidence of stronger stands just established only adds to the argument that this is most likely deliberately planned by Araki. Now back to requiem, regarding the idea of failing the worthiness check. The idea that the arrow would cause no affect at all if the user was deemed unworthy makes little sense when one takes into account how this works with normal stands. Yes its true the arrow naturally seeks out worthy users even on a physical level, but this has never physically stopped the arrow itself from activating. Its shown that both direct contact of the arrow and a family awakening of the arrow will still cause a stand to awaken in unworthy users, and the stand will simply either actively harm the user or achieve nothing at all (as with Koichi's egg). It would be very odd for requiem to instead act differently and not show at all, especially when we have a specific example of a failed requiem acting against its own user. As for this happening only because Polnareff was dying, the ability acted subconsciously against him without his control even when he pricked himself the first time, and as for him already being crippled, healed wounds have never seemed to have any bearing on stands capabilities, nor have any kinds of wounds been shown to have any bearing on either a users ability to control his stand or to pass as worthy of the arrow. In conclusion, I have written a very long message very few people will probably read.
I really like the idea of that particular arrow being preordained by fate to be a bit more special, like the craftsman just happened to want to put a beetle on it so he did because it was preordained
I'm curious if we'll ever see a counterpart of a "Requiem" Stand in the alternate universe, I hope part 9 explores this in some way. There's no arrow there, but can the sacred places evolve a Stand? The closest we've seen so far was D4C being granted Love Train by the Holy Corpse, but that's more similar to Bites the Dust being granted to Killer Queen than a proper Requiem Stand.
there was also Stand fusion by the new Rokakaka with the right combination of abilities the method could grant power that could overcome even the most transcendent of "base form" Stands
@@zaqareemalcolm Yes, but Soft & Wet hasn't changed drastically like a Requiem evolution, it just gained the explosive bubbles ability from Killer Queen. Go Beyond was the combination of both abilities in its full potential, something that Josuke's Stand was always capable, but he wasn't aware until Mamezuku explained it to him.
@@aruan7sp Yeah that's what I mean, Go Beyond wasn't native to Josefumi's S&W but is a result of the fusion, it's an abnormally powerful ability created through external means even though the form doesn't change unlike with Requiem
So if it's not different than the normal arrow... Does that mean that giorno kept his requiem power at the end? Since the arrow have been seen to fall after the fight against diavolo. Then it's kinda like kira's Bite the dust, it just stayed.
Judging by the fact that Chariot losing the arrow didn't instantly deactivate/cancels out its existence.. No The anime also makes it apparent that the most "stand out" design .. a.k.a the "arrow-head" in GER is a part of GER, not from the arrow itself, just like Chariot's arrow scar in its neck. Unlike Shueisha's coloring which just plain out put the arrow in place of Gold Experience's iconic forehead helm.
It's meant to be ambiguous, we don't really know whether or not GE alstayed as GE. However, I believe that GER probably went back to normal after it lost the arrow. While Chariot was able to stay as a requiem when it lost the arrow, keep in mind that was after it was separated from Polnareff. In the flashback, when it was still Polnareff's stand, it reverted to normal when Polnareff took the arrow. It's possible that it work differently while it is an independent being. I know people will say that Chariot reverted in the flashback because it hadn't completed its transformation, but of you go back to that scene, you'll see that that explanation makes no sense, as it had clearly already transformed, and Polnareff was referring to it's ability, not its form. Also, I doubt Araki would have that flashback, only to contradict it 4 chapters later. It could also be that even when Chariot wasn't holding on to the arrow, it was still considered to be in its possession, considering that its ability was still protecting the arrow. Also, and this is not an argumentative point but just an opinion, it would be weird for the arrow to be a part of GER, and then for it to just fall off, like antlers or something. However, again, there is no definitive answer. I feel that there is more evidence pointing to GER returning to being just GE, but Araki could easily come out tomorrow and say that GER in fact stayed as GER. It's really up to each reader/viewer to decide for themselves what they believe is more probable.
@@DweezyBreezey exactly, i would also add the fact that Requiem activation's meant to be.. "to achieve one's last wish, true desire, goals, etc." Considering that keeping the arrow away is Polnareff's dying wish, not necessarily saving the country, or protecting hope, but simply keeping anyone at bay. Only makes Chariot's sole purpose harder to achieve, unlike GER's who's sole existence is to "punish" Diavolo for escaping the flow of fate (as stated by Giorno right after GER's awakening "can you truly avoid destruction, boss? we're about to find out") had it not been for King Crimson's power, he'd die in various occasions, hence the well deserved end without an end for Diavolo, when the deed is done, Requiem lets go of its power, of his existence.. one that not even Giorno truly understand Just by knowing that the target no longer 'exist'
I might be onto something. I think there is a stand arrow (the beetle one) because when Polnareff saw Silver Chariot turn into requiem, it had barely hurt it's finger yet it went through a full transformation while Gold Experience didn't despite being hurt by another arrow a bit more.

>Giorno was not worthy at the time he was pierced YES! THIS! This is why I think Gold Experience Requiem worked and wasn't a mere Deus Ex Machina. It's because he grew to the point of having that resolve that his allies had before him, and the sacrifices they've made for him to achieve that goal (I'm not saying that was most of their intent, I'm saying Giorno managed grow because of said sacrifices). While it could've been made more apparent, the fact of the matter is that GER moment wasn't a rushed moment, but a moment that I believe was rewarding for Giorno's character.
*Normal* Stand arrows, when they pierce a stand user *again* , will create sub-abilities for a stand like killer queen's third bomb, bites the dust. A *Beetle* Stand arrow, when it pierces a *stand* , will destroy that stand and create an improved version of it, that stand's requiem.

There is even a panel when they are just about to be sucked back where KC has a few crumbly bits surrounding him.
I don't like to think Diavolo was unworthy and thus got rejected by the arrow because if that was the case, then he wouldn't be able to win since he can't obtain requiem at all.
I think bites the dust is a further evolution of the standusers power, while Requiem is like a evolution of the stand itself.

Fun fact: Killer Queen probably has a “Requiem” form. After Jotaro *d e s t r o y e d* Kira, Killer Queen had no cracks.
It could have just been one of the stands abilities that hadn't been developed yet.
Love train isn’t part of D4C and Valentine has no control over it. It’s just a force of nature caused by the corpse that he is hiding in.

I apologise if that sounds wrong or incorrect but it makes sense to me.
thats actually a pretty interesting take on stands and the history of the stand virus.
Not a bad idea. Viruses might not be considered alive, but they have the same goal as all life: To ensure that their species grows and survives. So it makes perfect sense that the virus wants to make more of itself.
Good idea but just...wear a mask in that world. You don't want to catch the Stand Disease
I would a 100% want to catch the stand disease

The more virus = stronger stand argument falls apart when you remember Jolyne and Ermes received pretty strong stands from only a small piece of the arrow.

I think that btd is a pseudo-requiem stand. Killer Queen gained another ability that granted Kira's wish, fixing his mistake of killing Hayato. I think that the reason Kira did not get a full requiem stand is because the arrow pierced his body and not his stand.
I would just say that it's not related with requiem in anyway just because it gave killer queen a third bomb

I like to think that in the Black Sabbath fight, the reason why Giorno wasn't granted requiem was because instead of allowing the arrow to choose him, the arrow was forced upon him, thus making it ineffective as the arrow needs to act of its own accord.
That makes so much sense
Also, that arrow was following Polpo's will instead of fate.
@@mohammedalamer4456 it also explains why Diavolo wasn't even able to stab himself with the arrow.
To make an analogy to Pokemon, Bites the Dust would be the equivalent of a Z-Move (AKA an upgraded power/technique) while Requiem is equal to Mega Evolution (AKA the user/being itself undergoing an upgraded power boost for higher limits).

true
Polnareff acquired a stand ability from young age.
personally, I always thought that the arrow was never important I never thought that the virus gave them a stand just awakened it.
This is why I believe someone who has stand potential could be killed by the arrow if they're not fully developed personality wise
they will die.
Example Johnny lost his stand temporarily he was not developed as a character to develop a stand, but the corpse forced him to
he could not retain his stand until act 3.
I like the idea of araki giving kira btd is a Early idea of requiem
because it fits like the normal arrow cant give requiem but finds someone worthy enough, since there isnt a requiem the arrow decides to pierce the stand/user, but not giving requiem makes the arrow only give a new ability
Fate sounds like an in universe explanation for plot convenience. God bless araki, that clever bastard.

One thing I'd like your opinion on is what do you think a possible satisfying ending to the JoJo Saga as a whole would ideally be like.

Polnareff was not worthy or strong enough to wield the requiem stand so his stand goes berserk but if someone is strong/worthy enough than they can get a requiem stand like Giorno
Wouldn't bites the dust just be a sub stand like Epitaph or Sheer Heart Attack?
Sounds legit.

Thank you for this video, it's exhausting to hear people constantly peddle Requiem Arrow headcanon as fact
I dont know
Silver chariot requiem was just from the stand holding the arrow so that doesn't quiet check out
@@drye135 I think there's a bit more to how the transformation works, with how, right before Polnareff died, he stabbed Silver Chariot in the face, but then we see an imprint of the arrow on Silver Chariot Requiem's neck despite it being a completely different spot, and we see both Kira and Gold Experience have the arrow go through their arm and reach the neck, in GE's case, it happening _after_ the stand was already stabbed once before, so I think that upon being stabbed, the arrow has to reach the neck before the transformation is fully realized, and that's why Polnareff was able to undo SC's requiem evolution, 'cause at the time only its finger was pricked.
For your next video may you do something about the 'natural abilities' with part 7 and 8? Or is there a video on this already?

@@KyngD469 I'm talking specifically AU
@@AngieBosch I feel like the same rules apply.
The beetle arrow would obviously choose Giorno because he has beetle brooches.
maybe it's just a way of representing the way that arrow was made for Giorno? Like, it is a beetle after all, and the one user to have a completely functional requiem is the one who can create life, so maybe he was "fated" to have the arrow
You know, this is something that seems in line with how Araki usually thinks. I wish somebody could ask him about this in an interview
But then, what happened with polnareff?

That actually makes the most sense. It also flows perfectly with what has been shown
@@Malthizar why thank you!

I have a question regarding requiem abilties
I've heard that the powers of requiem are determined by what the user's most wanted desire is at the time they're pierced, but I don't remember that ever being stated in jojo. is that actually true or is it just a fan theory?
that one is easily disproven by chariot reqiem having the same ability in the flashback
Dunno if other subs have this, but in mine Polnareff says the arrow granted his deepest desire, having a defense stand
So glad u mentioned Bites the Dust and I agree with your take on it
The "more poison = more power" makes kinda no sense to me cause doesnt one's stand come from their soul, i mean jotaro had a strong spirit he got op stand star platinum and koichi had a weak one so he got an egg as as a stand that helped him evolve his spirit. Maybe im just making stuff up, probably i am.
No, your point is great. I agree completely. It doesn't matter how concentrated the virus is, your stand's strength is reflective of your will to fight. A stronger fighting spirit correlates to a stronger stand.
another hamon beat kino
@@Estra_Estra yep

I like to think the arrow is special in at least some way, how it was able to awaken Weather Report without having contact with the body of the user, just with Pucci. We've seen that a similar blood connection awakend stands of the Joestars when Dio was pierced (however it is hard to say whether it was caused by the beetle arrow). We never really saw the same happen with normal arrows.
2 and 3 are the same, the Ability Kira gains is following the same rules Giorno’s did,
It was what he most wanted at the moment, and he got the perfect ability to do it just like giorno
Idk, the concept of "worthiness" is still relevant in the story. Not everyone is capable of awakening a stand.

He said destroyed, like fully destroyed. Doesn't exist anymore

Thanks for these videos. I got tired of arguing with people in comments sections on this topic, only for them to use logical fallacies or name wiggle out of the debate. Your points are much better too. I'll just be referred people to your video from now on. Thanks again, man, and have a wonderful day.
I like to think that the requiem arrow has some thing to do with stone of aja since the middle of the arrow has a red stone
Thank you Hamon Beat
My theory:
Any arrow can turn stands in requiem, but a requiem can only be made if there are no other requiems nearby.
I just think it makes it cooler if beetle=Requiem just a normal arrow being good enough just makes Requiem feel less rare and special so headcanon wise I’ll just say it is.
just don't take it as fact and let it stay as a head canon
@@LunarDoor yeah of course.
@@woomyboy98 I forgot about Joseph having hermit purple before so my bad, about Holly stand I'd rather say she's just not worthy
@@vixogarces6829 Yea it is probably more likely that Holly was just unworthy of having a stand at all, but there's still Crazy Diamond and Golden Experience which I think are on similar levels to The World/Star Platinum
@@woomyboy98 I think Dio also got Jonathan's stand with the arrow and how or when Joseph got hermit purple is a bit unclear
@@vixogarces6829 I forgot exactly when Araki said this but in an interview he said that if the crusaders went back in time to part 2 they would see Hermit Purple wrapped around Joseph
All we know about rokakaka origins is its from new Guinea
Im pretty sure the rokakaka fruit does an equivalent exchange. By that I mean it brings back one of your body parts, by removing another. An example is, imagine you lose an arm, you could eat one and get back the arm, but lose a leg. Its been a while since I finished reading JoJo so I may be abit wrong
This is the one theory that a lot of people argue, on requiem arrow being different from any other one. Thanks for this
Stands are just your fighting spirit the arrow just awakens it
Exactly
Bro that’s genius
@@turbo6585 I heard it from a random dude in a chat about JoJo's
Not reading all that, congrats anyways bro.
I agree with your assessment.
The closest we've seen so far was D4C being granted Love Train by the Holy Corpse, but that's more similar to Bites the Dust being granted to Killer Queen than a proper Requiem Stand.
there was also Stand fusion by the new Rokakaka
with the right combination of abilities the method could grant power that could overcome even the most transcendent of "base form" Stands
It would be cool if you did an analysis of the different final battles and arcs, just as a suggestion, love your videos
No
The anime also makes it apparent that the most "stand out" design .. a.k.a the "arrow-head" in GER is a part of GER, not from the arrow itself, just like Chariot's arrow scar in its neck.
"to achieve one's last wish, true desire, goals, etc."
Considering that keeping the arrow away is Polnareff's dying wish, not necessarily saving the country, or protecting hope, but simply keeping anyone at bay. Only makes Chariot's sole purpose harder to achieve, unlike GER's who's sole existence is to "punish" Diavolo for escaping the flow of fate (as stated by Giorno right after GER's awakening "can you truly avoid destruction, boss? we're about to find out") had it not been for King Crimson's power, he'd die in various occasions, hence the well deserved end without an end for Diavolo, when the deed is done, Requiem lets go of its power, of his existence.. one that not even Giorno truly understand
Just by knowing that the target no longer 'exist'
I might be onto something. I think there is a stand arrow (the beetle one) because when Polnareff saw Silver Chariot turn into requiem, it had barely hurt it's finger yet it went through a full transformation while Gold Experience didn't despite being hurt by another arrow a bit more.

>Giorno was not worthy at the time he was pierced
YES!
CONGRATS ON 200K :D
