Your Song is the lovers song in the show , Come What May is still there but they changed it in a way that it doesn’t hold as much weight as it does in the film . Basically Your Song is the song between them and Come What May is kind of just there
Honest and open minded, fantastic! The orchestra was top-notch. Sometimes I wish that I lived in NYC, just so I could have access to this caliber of talent.
That's why I moved to NYC! Unfortunately, the cost of living is so high that it's hard to afford the stuff you came here to do. 😢Great place to visit though...

I travelled all the way from Europe to see Moulin Rouge on broadway and they were absolutely amazing. If I had the chance to see it every day for the rest of my life I would without ever getting bored. It has left such an impact on me
Saw the show in September - absolutely loved it. Second row seats, I was in heaven. And why can’t people just enjoy instead of comparing to the movie version. This is live theater, no auto-tune, no retakes, and they perform eight times a week.
I dream of seeing it live, it seems so beautiful and they are so talented. I'm glad I've never seen the movie, this way I don't have this first judgement and I don't compare everything
Auto-tune? How stuck up and ignorant can you be completely ignoring the fact Ewan McGregor sung almost all his songs live/on set, what you see in the movie is real. These two sounds completely different then the original cast so it's perfect ok people love the original couple more.
in my opinion, it's totally okay to compare them, it's literally the same show. It's two mediums of the same story, why wouldn't people compare it? Both have their strengths and weaknesses
@@BeckhamBelieves The guy singing is below-average! People should not try to sing songs that were originally great if they can not add greatness to it. She can sing circles around Mr Rogers here! Lol!
LEX CHARLES same, I’d love to hear more of her. But it’s just the song choice, it’s Christian song telling Satine he loves her. In the movie I don’t think Satine even joins in.
This performance is so beautiful in so many ways. The arrangement is very beautiful and the live orchestra is wonderful. They really deserve a lot of credit for their work. Aaron seems so happy being back in a show and so happy singing this. He does so wonderfully, and that joy is what music is really about. His voice is very beautiful (especially around 2:01). Karen's voice is amazing too. Her tone is very special and really powerfull and together their voices blend really well. The harmonies are tight and them working together in such synch musically is very cool and inspiring. Their chemistry is also shining through through the whole performance, a beautiful friendship.

Is there anyone that watched this musical and kept a dry eye the entire show? I don't see how anyone with any emotion can watch this and not get emotional when the scenes of forbidden love and tragic death happen, coupled with songs with lyrics that tug the heart.
I cried. SO. HARD. I was still crying when I left the theater. And I’m old enough to have seen the movie when it first came out so it wasn’t like I didn’t know how it would end. Such a wonderful musical!
I heard every the original version and the movie version of this song I have to say even though I love all three versions but this is my favorite version of it gorgeous voices and performance.
I discovered the musical "by accident", in July '23 when I was in London for Bruce Springsteen's two concerts. I know London very well, so I was looking for something to do in the afternoon before the show in Hyde Park. I was thunderstruck, literally. I sang, danced, cried, and laughed like I haven't in years. and I'm almost 60 years old, 40 of which I spent traveling the world to see Bruce. I've seen the musicaln at least once a month since then. I live in Milan, get my ticket as soon as I have some time, leave by fly at 10 a.m. and arrive at 12 noon in London, headed to the Piccadilly Theatre for the 2:30 p.m. show and then at 8 p.m. fly back home. and or I will as long as it's on in London. see it, experience it, love it. it's just amazing!!! All the best, Alessandro
Wow, this was way better than I expected! I'm generally VERY averse to this whole movies becoming theatre thing, but I might actually go see this one. Which of course is the point of promoting on talk shows, but sometimes they convince me with one song that I definitely DON'T want to see the show! So, helpful either way.
Look, Ewan McGregor’s version is so amazing, sometimes I’m listening to the original Elton John version and wish it was Ewan McGregor instead. Nevertheless, this was incredible.
I loved the movie and Ewan’s version is great, but there is no way Ewan could come close to Aaron’s performance level without significant auto tuning/ sound assistance. Aaron has one of the purest voices in the industry. Love the movie and its soundtrack, but respect these talented people and this fantastic production. There is room for both.
Valeria E exactly! His performance is vulnerable and sexy and honest. This guy can sing, but it’s not anywhere near Ewan’s total performance. Imma go listen to it.
Karen is amazing and trust me she is going to blow up next year after the In The Heights movie is released.
