This Batman is the one from the 40’s and 50’s the earth one version is from the 60’ s the Batmobiles are also different. From both universes . And what’s interesting about this one is he retired Batman and became police commissioner of Gotham City and the role of the caped crusader was passed on to Robin of earth 2 .
Pretty sure this is earth 1 from the silver age There was another earth, earth 2 during that time period The main continuity was considered earth 1 The old Superman and Robin in the odd costume are from earth 2 I could be wrong
Mcfarlane shipped mine over a week ago and I like it quite a bit. I think it's a good reuse of Knightfall for that era of Batman. I like the bright blues and stylistic comic shading. Agreed the lack of any articulation on Ace is really disappointing. It would've made this package a definite must-have. My only other nitpick is the length of the cape. Wired is good but it's too long for my liking.
@ I’m just realizing the joker I saw yesterday in GameStop was silver age, digital (which I don’t quite understand at all) but in this video , I see your dc direct silver age batwoman and batmite. I’m going to try and track
Question as a brand new collector. I am collecting for photography and stop motion animation. How do these (McFarlane) compare in regard to pose ability with... MAFEX?
@@dHuntersReviews Okay. No issue there. All my dioramas so far are being built for 6.5-7.5 inch figures. They are a lower price point... so I can obtain more "actors" as a collector moving forward with this cause. The practical posing is what I care about. The little Superpowers guys won't work for my vision. Lol!
Just got mine in the mail today. I always look for your reviews to watch before I open mine. Related question- I purchased the Rebirth Batman that comes with the Bruce Wayne alternate head. Can you recommend a good 6” suited figure that I could use to make a decent Bruce Wayne figure out of? Any way, Great review, thanks!
This is the Earth-2 Batman that goes with the Earth 2 Robin , flash , Green Lantern , steel and earth 2 Superman also the specture . They are all from the pre crisis earth two universe.
I thought there was a pre crisis earth 1 (main earth) and a pre crisis earth 2 This Batman would be from earth 1 Like there’s a pre crisis dick Grayson if earth 1 that goes with this Batman Dick Grayson if earth 2 is the other one

@@ryh2638 agreed 100%
Excellent releases
Excellent colors
Cape too long
We need a Batman to inspect these supervillain drones quick! Gotham is supposed to be located off the coast of south New Jersey
What…?
I like the unique approach to the face sculpt in that the bottom of his nose is visible. That is different.
Silver age
I know this might be random but could you tell me the width and height of chest emblem ? Thinking of customizing the figure lol
Looks like Adam West Batman
@@stevejohnsonolson2137 definite similarities
It’s why I always thought West was perfect for that time
Just got mine yesterday. Are there more silver age DC characters? Have you heard of anymore coming from this era?
I said this in the video but silver age Two-Face and silver age Dr. Fate are supposed to be the next digital wave
@ I promise I was listening, thanks man. @#%+, if he continues this route , I should just send him my wallet
@ I’m guessing the two face will be orange purple and there will be a black white platinum suit

They pose great but are much larger

Great review! How does the shade of gray compares between this figure and the Black Variant of the Knightfall Batman?
@@CommanderBond007 I’d have to inspect them together Shannon to say for sure
@ thanks! Would be great to know as I would like to use that torso on a Knightfall black variant body to make a Year One kitbash.

I’m still waiting in this. I think it showed to ship in November but haven’t got him yet. I’m getting this more for the dog. Lol
Did you order the bundle from McFarlane?
@ it was already sold out I think.
It does look nice with the Mezco Robin.
Absolutely
My only issue with Batman himself, era-wise is that the belt should be wider; it would definitely help the overall look… Otherwise I like it.
@@adammarkscheid2404 fair enough
Not sure what bugs me more, the cape being too long or Ace not having a single point of articulation. Both are equally annoying.
Agreed, Ace bugs me much more
That other ace is a bat puppy compared too McFarlands bat hound
