CWF - Salute: The GOAT Turns 80

February 3, 2021 marks the 80th birthday of the GOAT, Dory Funk Jr.

In this match from 1984, we see vastly overrated Mike Rotundo get beaten up by the master, Dory Funk Jr. Look at the fear in Rotundo's face as he reluctantly enters the ring. Obviously Rotundo was forced to wrestle Junior by "The Family" (Dusty Rhodes, Blackjack Mulligan, and Barry Windham). As Rotundo is thrown under the bus, the three cowards are drinking up a storm and laughing about how they got dumb naive Rotundo to take their beating for them. The only thing that saves Rotundo from an early retirement is a roid-raged Billy Joke Haynes coming to his rescue. This match is just one small example of the supreme greatness of Dory Funk, Jr. Happy Birthday.

Dory Funk Jr never cheated, never broke a rule, and always wrestled by the book. Remember that great night in 1980 [November 4, 1980] when Dory Jr wrestled Dusty Rhode for the Florida Title. Just to show you what kind of a sportsman Junior is, let's recall that Rhodes was all tuckered out and needed to sit down and rest before the championship match. Out came Dory Jr and handed Rhodes a chair. Unfortunately the chair was jammed shut and Dory Jr. tried to open the chair for Rhodes. It's doubtful that opening a chair could hurt anyone. But Rhodes claimed he had a broken arm. Baloney. I call insurance fraud. Thank you Dory Funk for unlimited commitment to fair play and sportsmanship.

I heard he was a nut like was at a meeting and just got up and walked into the closet for a good 20 minutes and then walk out straight from the building LoL I think I heard it from Dusty
