  • Championship Wrestling from Florida - Fall 1979. Killer Khan vs. Eddie Graham. The honorable Masao Hattori is fed up after Mr. Hito and Mr. Sakurada lose the Florida Tag Team titles to “sissy punk” Mike Graham (who never drew a dime) and Ray Stevens due to Eddie Graham’s interference. Hattori-sama challenges Eddie Graham and promises that his man will embarrass and humiliate Graham by pinning him three times in five minutes. Obviously, Graham had his own referee for the match so he could break every rule in the book and just in case that didn’t work his flunkies were on hand to jump in and help the old sot. Hattori-sama should’ve insisted on a totally impartial referee (like Sir Oliver Humperdink or Ernie Ladd) for the match.

Hard to believe that Tiger Hattori is retiring this year. What a great career.

I never bought that Hardest Punch in The Business claim . Dan Spivey had the hardest punch in the business .

I wish Hito and Sakurada ( sp?) had come to work in Midsouth . Would have been great vs The Rock n Roll Express and The Fantastics or maybe even The Sheepherders .

This is a kind of "yellow thereat" gimmick. Action goes usually into topsy-turvy the end at the time of the 70 CWF.

When did Ray Stevens turn heel. I know he's been an on and off baby face a few times.

"Once you make contact": Eddie Graham probably influenced "Everybody's got a plan until they get hit." Iron Mike Tyson. Speaking of influence: "And that's my bottom line"?! Wonder who else watched this clip at one time!B.W.

Robert: To the best of my knowledge Ray Stevens wrestled very consistently in various NWA territories and The AWA and WWWF as both a heel and face. Especially in NWA San Francisco where Roy Shire and Eddie Graham promoted heavily through the Tampa office. Killer Khan was one of a number of Florida stars to hold the Louisiana strap in MidSouth. Sartorially Masao Hattori must've been a Lou Albano fan.B.W.

Ray Steven's best work was done in San Francisco as a heel . Tagging with Pat Patterson and later with Bockwinkel in the AWA . Both were HOF level tag teams .

Stevens lived fast and died young ( Aged 60 ) . I doubt he had any regrets .

As I understand one of Ray Stevens's United States Championship tenures ended when he broke his leg once in a motorcycle crash.🤔🎤🤼‍♂️B.W.
