There is an app called "Where is my train" which shows the current location of the train. Next time if you are traveling in India by train, you can use that. Also the approximate location of your coach is mentioned on the small displays on the platform. So you don't have to run when the train arrives.
Normally, this is the condition.. during the daytime, it's almost 3 to 4 hours late.. next day it becomes 5 min before time..😂😂

If you reach early , you could just rest in the waiting room rather than that of platform , announcement and status board is there in waiting room too so you will get notification
Use train tracker application, it might help next time , coz delays are common in this country though . Lol

In India, trains are notoriously unreliable, particularly for long-distance travel, and the restrooms are perpetually clogged.
My be you can try train Indonesia is better
So many train and also new vande bharat express so they have to manage time, they give priority to vande bharat, that why timing is mess😂
