Geoff Downes has done Elstree live as well, but he had John Wetton doing the vocal part and Dave Kilminster playing the guitar. Check out ua-cam.com/video/vdBpHO-f0rw/v-deo.htmlsi=7kaQUiBKHh3Fgeqt
Frickin A!! How did I miss this? I live in StL. I have been a Buggles fan since I saw the Yes Drama tour in 1980. Didn't know anything about the Buggles music before that tour. Obviously after I bought both their albums (when I could finally track them down as imports I think). No Downes though? Why wouldn't Horn hook back up with Downes if he finally decided to tour??? Who was the guitarist and keyboardist on this tour? Very thankful for the nice video. I don't know how I missed this last year. I've had some medical issues so I probably wasn't paying attention. Man, I hope it was successful enough to do another tour.
@@badgastein2 Oh, I know. I have that album somewhere. Actually, they released a second album of new material with him singing within the last ten years as well. He also played bass frequently in Art of Noise
You might want to get hold of the UK DVD Prince’s Trust Concert which celebrates and co-stars the artists which Trevor Horn produced over his career - ABC, Seal, Frankie, Dollar, Tatu, Yes, BUGGLES, Art of Noise, Pet Shop Boys, Propaganda….
@@RebeccaTurner-ny1xx Sometimes bands tour different countries in different years, if they don't feel up to the full world tour in one go. Hopefully they hit the motherland soon! But it's true that we basically only know them for Video Killed The Radio Star here, though that was a huge hit. I personally wore out Age Of Plastic as a teenager, but I'm weird 🤣
But UA-cam has some of the extra tracks/outtakes from "Adventures...". Check out the extended version ("Parts 1 & 2") of "I Am A Camera" (aka "Into The Lens" by Yes). Awesome track.
Merveilleux et je l'apprécie vraiment beaucoup bisous 😘 becka ❤
I will forever cherish hose two Buggles albums. A pity they never got around to doing a third one.
I was there. Trevor Horn's musical talent is pretty awesome and it was good to see the talent up close. The whole band was stellar :)
Hearing Elstree would’ve been worth the ticket price alone.

Brilliant!!!!! But NO Vermillion Sands?????
Picky picky
Trevor is a fantastic musician. Wish I’d been there to see him.
10:41 Action
14:36 Stop
I love that they played 3 non- buggles songs
Trevor Horn was a member of ‘Yes’ for a time and played Bass Guitar on the hit records of ‘Frankie Goes To Hollywood.’

@@badgastein2 oh, yeah, absolutely. Trevor *WAS* the 80s in the UK
Why didn't the band tour the UK, where far more people know of them?
@@RebeccaTurner-ny1xx Short version, Trevor Horn produced a lot of Seal's biggest hits. He's also playing with Seal when he takes the stage
@@skourgey Ah, I see, Buggles was support for Seal. But Seal's also British, so didn't the tour cover the UK then as well?

The Buggles - without Geoff Downes?? Shouldn't they be called "Buggle", then? Lame. (Sorry, Trev)
When he recorded 'Adventures in Modern Recording' it was just Trevor Horn, the band was still called 'The Buggles' then.
Thanks
Such a shame that Adventures in modern recording is not available on Spotify 🫤👎
Agreed, just Age of Plastic. But I'm still happy for that
