I made a Video Game in a Weekend with an Engine I never used before!

For about two and a half years now, I have been using the unity game engine. Recently they have been making some pretty sus choices as a company, shattering the trust of many once loyal developers, including me, so here’s how I made a video game in only a weekend with an engine I’ve never used before!

In this video I made a video game for the ludum dare 54 game jam. A game jam is a little competition where game developers have to create a video game in a short period of time. This game jam was 72 hours with the theme Limited Space.
I was going to use a brand new game engine for this game jam. I wasn't going to use the unity game engine anymore, so I had to pick between Unreal Engine and the Godot Game Engine. I eventually settled on making the game using the Godot game engine.

I got disapointed by unity as well, however I decided to create my own game engine because unreal mostly uses visual scripting and I just prefer to code.. and I don't really like any other game engines because they are not very good for 3D. so that leaves me with making my own game engine.

I find this whole challenge pretty unrealistic
But using Godot was probably for the best so in the future unlike with Unity you don't have to pay to make Godough
