Is making a video game WITHOUT a keyboard even possible?

- In this video, I made a video game without using a keyboard at all! How is this even possible? How do you program? How can you make a game without programming? Or do you somehow find a way to program with just the mouse? How do I subscribe?

Making a video game with only your mouse was very hard but very fun. This challenge was completed in the unity game engine and I did 2D game development. 2D game development was harder than usual because I only had a mouse to program with. It is Halloween so the video game that I, the indie game developer, developed with indie game development. This game development challenge was very tricky.

It's funny how making a game without a keyboard turned out to be a game of its own.
You had to adapt to certain rules in order not to Lose. (Oh my God I'm so glad you didn't Lose 🙂!)
And I think that you CAN make games and make them fun with that approach; unless, of course, you can't do that.
Something like a GameJam could shed some light on how limitations generate possibilities.
Yeah I love game jams, and funny story, I was planning on doing a video on a game I would’ve made for the ludum dare 51 game jam, but for some reason I thought it was the last weekend of October and not September, soooo I thought I’d just do a fun challenge instead of nothing. Thanks for watching!

These thoughts came to me since I've spilled milk on my keyboard and wanted to try what I could do with my computer with just the mouse. Cool timing imo.
I actually program (not games) without keyboard because I can't use it because of disease (SMA). But I use onscreen keyboard. I programmed some software to help me play games that can't be played only with mouse.

@@WillHessGameDev forgot to mention that I decided to learn programming after I lost ability to use a keyboard. I watched some videos about game developing and started making a game but then I realized that I need to learn some programming. Since that time (about 3 years) I didn't come back to gamedev, but your channel motivated me again and maybe I'll install Unity again 😄Thanks for really nice vids!

I'm not sure if I fully understand your question but I was using unity hub version 2.4.2 and it works fine on my computer. If you updated it and its not working I'm sorry but I don't know how to help, maybe look on unity's website to see if you can download older versions.

Yeah once I did the game over scene I realized I should have a timer or something to keep track on how long you make it, but I just didn’t have the time
You can make each candy giving u a certain score
Score per candy would definitely work too!

I know! I’ve been thinking about how I’d be able to do it with no mouse. With no keyboard I can use copy and paste, so I can get around no typing, but idk how I’d get around no clicking with the no mouse. I have a graphics tablet I could use but I feel like that’s kinda cheaty. If you have any ideas let me know!
@@WillHessGameDev I'm pretty sure you can do everything on keyboard with cmd and hotkeys and such! At least on windows or linux
