THE TOUR STRIKER TOOLBOX // Purposeful Practice w/ Think Box and Play Box featuring Martin Chuck

- Today, Ian and Mikey are joined by Martin Chuck from the Tour Striker Golf Academy. Martin is one of the top instructors in the world and today he gives Mikey the parameters to unleash the advantages of practicing with purpose.
Martin takes you through Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott's concept of the Think Box and the Play Box that was employed for years by Annika Sorenstam during her dominating run on LPGA Tour.
The boys learn these skills while using the Tour Striker Toolbox, which is comparable to a swiss army knife training device that is innovative, problem-solving and fits easily in the bag.

Like the suggestion of a think box and play box even in practice
Ian and Mike, great spending time with you guys! It was a pleasure.
Can you just bend the lie angle up or would it have little impact please?
@@nickbirtle6608 adjust anyway you want. There are 20+ drills to help available to purchasers on my site.
@@nickbirtle6608 you can adjust lie angles on clubs a few degrees, but the steep delivery and the late “save” by raising the handle is a tough way to be consistent.
Love the content with Martin Chuck. Great stuff guys
This is some of the best content. So many good nuggets so many things. I literally got my Golfer's Toolbox delivered last night!!!! Fantastic content at eerily fantastic timing.
Toe down, heel up, that's the way I like to putt
I went to the Tour Striker website to check out the new Golfer’s Toolbox, but the Toolbox on the website is sold out. TL;DR - I don't think the new version has been released yet, and it's the old version on the website that is sold out. Long version - I could be wrong, but I think that there is a slightly new/improved version that Martin was demonstrating in this video that hasn't been released yet on the website. I think the Toolbox device that is currently sold out on the Tour Striker website is the previous/older version that they used to sell. If you look at the photos on the website, there are two photos (the second and fourth photos) where the Toolbox is suspended off the ground, and you can just barely see two additional dark-colored rods holding the Toolbox off the ground. I think that is an older version of the design. I think the newer version has the eye holes on each end (as described at 6:10) that you can put alignment sticks through, and the older version (currently sold out on the Tour Striker website) had a different mechanism for holding the Toolbox off the ground. Martin also mentioned that the website would have training videos available (like the PlaneMate and Tour Striker Ball come with), but there is no mention of the training videos for the Toolbox on the website yet. I own the original PlaneMate and the Tour Striker Ball that I bought from the Tour Striker website a couple of years ago, and I do recall a number of their products being sold out from time to time, including both the PlaneMate (I bought during a sale in March 2021) and the Ball. Anyway, long story longer, I would keep an eye on the website over the next few weeks (Martin said at 7:21 that the Toolbox would be released in mid-September) because I don't think the new version has been released yet.
Ian excellent video one of your best !
Thanks Jack!!
Martin chuck is good. Will have to make some time to see some of his other content. So funny watching mike take some tips he seems to be a tad stubborn about making time to change his swing just my two cents worth
what shoes are Ian wearing?
They are G-Fore Disruptor.
Great video with incredible nuggets!
Brian Benedictson came up with this originally as the Swinkey! I had one of the originals in my back that they(Brian and Todd Halpen) made for me ! Amazing training aid
Thanks! Too much sun, I forgot Brian’s name.
Great video, good to have some instructional insight that isn't overly technical.
just wondering what course were you guys at?
The Pulpit Club. Beautiful spot.
I got one two years ago from “impact zone golf” in Naples,FL. Love the toolbox.
While the product looks to be a very worthwhile training aid, it really makes it excessively expensive to purchase if you are outside the US. Shipping to my location in Canada was $75 USD. Martin should be a little more sympathetic to the Canadian market and extend the free shipping to his former country. I would purchase one, no question
Martin is just a great teacher, his passion for making whoever he is working with understand how to get better is incredible. Wish i could spend an hour or 2 with him, dont think he is in the UK anytime soon though 😢
Well, I know what my next golf purchase is going to be when this comes out!
Really impressed with Martin! What an outstanding example of a Master Instructor!!
I’ve been watching Martin Chuck on UA-cam for years, he’s a great teacher of the game, thanks TXG for sharing 👍👍
This is really special!
Martin is one of the few instructors that I follow religiously, he really makes it simple and understandable. Man, I have the old version, would love this new version😔 that being said, this gas been one of the most helpful training aids I've bought, use it all the time.👍
What’s the difference new v old? I was confused bc he said it wasn’t out yet but I’d seen the “same” product from him before
@@clw22580 the old one has two alignment sticks and two small stakes. Seems liked the new one has some different features as well. From what I've seen in this video.
@@clw22580 we plan on launching the new version this month. We will load the landing page fairly soon. I shot all of the protocol videos today.
This video displays an insight to simple and easy changes to improve one’s golf. Thanks for the continued great content.
This is good stuff. I admit when I see an ad I usually blow it off/get annoyed but this guy seems like a really great instructor!
Very kind. Thank you. I work my ass off to help golfers get better and have more fun with the game. Cheers, Martin
@@tourstriker Went to the website and looks like you have some really great product. I’ll wait until the golfers toolbox comes back in stock but have to say I’m really impressed with the design👍
MC is the man!
Great video! Practice with intention is great!
Seen Martin on FB ads for awhile now. Blew them off! However, after watching him teach Mike here, I am impressed with his coaching skills. Great guy!
Brilliant coaching Martin!
Thx mate!
GET A SWING PLATE IAN!
I just want martin to reply to my comment😮💨
Tony, I didn’t see it? What’s your question?
@@tourstriker sorry to waste your time you already replied to my comment😶
Great stuff TXG team!
Looking at Martins Academy but think I am going to opt for the full day one on one with Martin instead!
This is nothing more than a commercial to make these guys $$
You could say that about any video we do really. Just because we review a Ping G425 or Stealth Driver it doesn’t mean we’re trying to sell them. This is a product that we think has great value, going by the other comments other viewers were able to enjoy and learn from the additional instruction.
Great device....looking forward in getting it. Mikey, something to adjust on your posture...you have to much arc on your back, so push your chest more forward to reduce the arch. Lastly, grip....I will leave it at that :P
I don’t disagree, but Google Jack Nicklaus golf swing. Look at his posture, his back was very rounded and he played pretty well.
@@ianfrasergolf Monty had a rounded back in his posture too
@@ianfrasergolf The two men are build quit different....which goes for you and I as well. When it come to swing adjustments, ones posture in a key variable that is at time overlooked....much like ones grip. These golf setu variable are something we have 100% control before the motion of a swing is put into play.
