I did it! I made a bunny for my niece's first Easter! I embroidered the eyes, because she's only 2 weeks old. I made a pom pom out of the yarn I used for the bunny, so the bunny has a little fluffy tail. I also made a little scarf for the bunny (just a row of half double crochets). My 4th amigurumi ever! I made one from dollar tree plush yarn. Took a little more than a skein. I embroidered the eyes because my great grandson chews. It turned out very cute!
I am making two for baby showers. I used the safety eyes, but after giving them a really good tug, they were easy to pull out, so I figured these were not safe for babies. I just used black yarn to stitch the eyes. Thank you so much for your easy directions. As I beginner, I was able to create two adorable bunnies.
I really would have liked this to work for me the directions is probably meant for a more advanced person. These bunnies are so cute tho. I guess I will need to come back and give it a try when I’m more experienced.

Very easy to follow for a VERY NEW crochet-er!! Seriously, I crocheted a wash cloth when I was 8 and that was almost 40 years ago. Haven’t touched a crochet hook since with the exception of a couple of knitting projects. My bunny ears turned out different sizes but that’s just because I didn’t follow your directions. I attached one as a flop ear and it looks adorable. The legs appear to be inside out but I’m okay with that too. Fun, easy, one day project!!

I made a grey one and it's absolutely adorable! I usually make clothing or bags so I'm not that great at plushies. This is the first one I've made when I'm actually really happy with the end result 😁
I was asked to give a how to crochet a rabbit lesson (for Easter, during April)) for the Ladies group of a spanish (I live in PR) christian church I go to. This kind of activity is done once a month and either assigned to someone within the group or invite someone (we have had a painting lesson, how to do soaps and candles, there is a diversity of things we can do in a church, with the talents/knowledge the Lord has given us). I have been crocheting since I was nine years old. Have done hats, scarfs, rompers, handbags, baby dresses, shalls, baby shoes/sandles, head bands, bottle covers, turtle crochet keychains, etc., but never a amagarumi. I'm halfway through with the rabbit head, then the ears to fill it out and put it all together. I'm amazed of the outcome. Since I will be distributing copies of the instructions, I already have translated them to Spanish and will be giving out typed photocopies to the ladies. They are going to love it, especially when they see the one I've done. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Thank you Heather for sharing you're Bunny Rabit Turtoil Video I made my Bunny yesterday. It turned out pretty well but I hat hard time with getting the button nose right, getting his head stichted on straight but i finally got it I also added a cotton Tail to his bumm , I put bow tie on him as well.
I have searched high n low for a video on bunny ears. Great video. Thank you. My journey on Amigurumi is just starting. Thank you. Do you have video on how to do the floppy ears????
A previous comment I made said I made it with bulkier yarn I would adjust the amount of time you increase in rows a little because my bunny came out huge, which I love but if you want it for a smaller child adjust significantly
Thank you!!! I'm on the ears of my first one now and I love it so much! I'm going to try to get several done to hand out for Easter. You did an amazing job helping us beginners learn!
I am in love with all of your patterns i have made so far.. I hope Hope I can pull this one off.. It will be for my first G-grandsons very first Easter Basket..
I am pregnant right now and am planning to make one for my baby the tutorial is super easy to follow and the bunnies turned out really cute. Can you also make some clothes for the bunny please 💕
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed! I'll add bunny clothes to my idea list. Some folks have made their own clothes and tagged me on Instagram! They are so adorable!
Thank you for this tutorial. I have been teaching myself to crochet though UA-cam the last few years. Mainly blankets, scarfs, beanies and a few pumpkins. This is my first attempt at a doll and your video is perfect. Mine may not look as personal as the one you show but you can definitely tell it's a bunny! Lol!! Thank you again!!!
Awe, thank you so much for sharing that with me! I love to crochet and mostly taught myself as well. This is one of the most challenging projects I've done. I'm happy you liked it!
Thanks so much for the great video.. I am a new to crocheting and it was so easy to follow. thanks especially for telling us where to set the eyes. Made him a little blue coat and a magic circle tail---- everyone loves it.
I really like this video because it was so simple and just easy. I love how you can just have floppy ones or just straight ones. I also love how there are parts in the video as well. I made a pink one.
I made it over this weekend and came out soooo cute!!! Especially for being my first real stuffy aside from a little bee. Ended up using invisible decrease and it’s beautiful! I can’t wait to try with some fluffier yarn for my niece and nephew. Thank you!
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I've been meaning to experiment with the invisible decrease. I have a habit of sticking with the first techniques I learned. :)
This is a wonderful tutorial for beginners! I consider myself a beginner and I was never "lost" once throughout this process. Your explanations helped me become more comfortable with specific stitches and techniques. I was able to complete a bunny for a friend who recently had a baby. Thank you!

Thank you so much for making this tutorial!💖 I really enjoyed it and it was nicely explaned and easy to follow! I made this for my friend as a memorial gift for her, to remind her of her bunny that just passed. Subscribed to your channel, and cant wait to make more cute croched stuff!😍
Have you thought about continuing with the head starting from the 8 body stitches and going up to the top of the head. I don't like to stitch the body parts together.

I have searched high n low for a video on bunny ears. Great video. Thank you. My journey on Amigurumi is just starting. Thank you. Do you have video on how to do the floppy ears????
Thank you! I don't currently have a floppy ear tutorial but I imagine you could pin down the ears with a stitch or two for the bent floppy look.
I made 2 as a present for my mom and sister they turned out great. I also ad a scarf of one and a bow on the other one
That's so kind of you to make these as gifts! How creative to add the bow and scarf!

A previous comment I made said I made it with bulkier yarn I would adjust the amount of time you increase in rows a little because my bunny came out huge, which I love but if you want it for a smaller child adjust significantly
Yes, using larger yarn and hook will produce a larger bunny! :) Thanks for watching!
I made total of 3 🐰 followed by your instructions.

Have you thought about continuing with the head starting from the 8 body stitches and going up to the top of the head. I don't like to stitch the body parts together.
