What?! Oh man, this is freaking _wild_! I had no idea about this song, whom most of us remember from Ruin-Jidoor in _Final Fantasy VI_, having its roots in _Final Fantasy II_!
The way this is remixed in FF6 reminds me of how the miniboss theme in The Legend of Zelda The Minish Cap originally came from the Japanese version of Zelda 2's battle theme
the plot of this game is somewhat changed in ffvi where instead of an imperial army searching for power in the depths of hell they search power from espers magi
@MAYFLY01 I mean: Square/Soft/Enix released a CD with these...? I actually played the original FF II for NES (patched) and the 2D remakes introduced a lot of new songs! But, goddamnit, not that epicness of the airship theme!
Now Firion and the Emperor want to beat the crap of Terra and Kefka in order to get back their song in their game. I think i will settle this in Dissidia XD
I'm glad Uematsu changed that D# to a D natural by the time it was released in FF6.
One of my favourite VI song was supposed to be a FFII dungeon theme? Wow! You learn every day something new.
Hai bro
remixed in ff6 as magic house

Just finished FF6.
Start playing FF2.
Looking up FF2 music on youtube.
This shows up.
MINDFUCK
And later it went on to become the 'Magic House' theme in FF6.
The way this is remixed in FF6 reminds me of how the miniboss theme in The Legend of Zelda The Minish Cap originally came from the Japanese version of Zelda 2's battle theme
wow. i had no idea this was originally in ff2
my mind has been blown
Wow! Very interesting to know this was originally in here.
Most interesting revelation!
o_O
FFVI definitely did this theme justice. I just didn't know that it was supposed to be in FFII.
This theme canceled for ff2, but is used in 6. It just that simple.
?!
Weird. They reused this in VI. Wonder which others Uematsu reused later on...
Hi bro
Maybe this was supposed to play in the Magician's Tower, before they scrapped it and replaced it with a new one?
the plot of this game is somewhat changed in ffvi where instead of an imperial army searching for power in the depths of hell they search power from espers magi
I think the cave of Mysidia will be the one with that theme
@DarqV I thought it sounded Familier... So Sega's not the only one reusing Old Unused Music
They should've kept it in the game.
@SandopolisZone Because I've played the game and this isn't in it. I think thats what it actually means. But that is the actual title of the track.
Magic house ffvi

:O
i never knew either. . . yo! wow. has anyone checked the other FF games for more content?
Very neo-classical
O.O 0o o0 00 o0 0o hasta el 6 pusieron ese tema osea que cuales mas no pusieron y le agregaron a otros juegos
@bloodhound710 "the magic house"
@BlanFan2O not the turkish march. same style... but different.
How. The. Hell. Is. "The Magic House" even in this game?! This is in FF6's Town of Jidoor (World of Ruin)!! :D!!!
ff4 and ff9 have a bigger connection with 2, like kain´s dad who died fighting an empire (ricard highwind) and joseph story in ff9
Remember that FF9 is a remembrance of all the previous games, details such as Garland and the knights of Pluto and many other references.
I think FFII has a little connection with FFVI
I have a theory that War of Magi is the events of FFII
FF6 is the 2nd overall game to have the Ultima magic and FF2 is the 1st, so there might be a little connection between them
thats awesome why r all the good songs not in the game ahaha
@kishire6murcielago No, shouldn't do. Mine's perfectly fine :-).
Now Firion and the Emperor want to beat the crap of Terra and Kefka in order to get back their song in their game. I think i will settle this in Dissidia XD
@MAYFLY01
Well if it was unreleased I'd say the new official name for the track whould be The magic house thhanks to FF VI
I think they released this track in the remakes under "Imperial Army" as the title
How did you know this is unreleased?
Cause it wasn't used until FF6
Is this dummied out of the ROM or something? Is that how people found it?
+vince94 (haxxor199x) Late answer, but it was on an official Square soundtrack in 1990 I believe.
+Huhbuhduh Wow, neat!
@BlanFan2O I'm not saying this rudely but... It's not part of the song at all. Again, not rudely, just pointing out a fact respectfully.
Whang
Probably faked with FamiTracker.
Nope. I believe this is acutally a legit unreleased peice of music that eventually found it's way into FF VI as the magic house.
Famitracker doesn't output stereo sound...
