    Hey what's up! I really liked the video, found it very helpful. For the way I should record my voice cause its really deep! But I have a question? This might be a little off subject. But I'm on a tight budget, and studio time is really expensive. So I wanted to know how to save time in a recording studio. Usually I lay all verses then the chorus. Then the ends and outs. But I got this ideah. While rehearsing. Maybe it would it be faster . If I recorded without stopping. Like what ever is first then moving on to the chorus then back to the next verse. Without stopping. Would that save me time in a studio???????
    I'm a christian rapper , and so it's just my vocals on a beat. But I was hoping to push 3 songs in a 2 hour session. With each song only being no more than 4 minutes. Could I do it? And if so ? Will it save me time? Iv practiced without stopping and I can do it rehearsing. Let me know what u think?

    Lets test the low end of the mic!
    I think you will need to sing with the highest tone of your voice, which is about 2-3 octaves above your high-mid voice, cos that will surely bring out the low end!

  • @nicktheharpblower

    i would have thought it would be a Neve or SSL Desk that they used in this studio. Connecting the direct outs of the various channels into something like a pro tools HD rig. Im not sure what they use so don't quote me on that! considering your interface is a great mid-high end, id suggest getting something like a Neve mic pre or even an RME bank of mic preamps.
    Kind regards
    Nick

    if you have a condensor mic and your constantly picking up to much room noise try a dynamic mic. dynamic mics arent really used in the industry for vocals there usually for concerts but ive used them for vocals for like 10 years because they work better for me. they dont need phantom power either.

    I'm recording my vocals with the samson co1u mic. But even when I sing high, it doesn't sound as high as I sang it. It also sounds a little bassy. Would EQ and Compression fix this, or would I need a different mic? Would there be a mic that records and sounds precisely the way you sang it, for high male vocals? If so, which mic? Kinda ona budget haha.

  • @AaronRhoades
    @AaronRhoades 11 років тому

    Part of it could be what you're listening on. Your listening environment and equipment affects what you can and can't hear... especially if you're listening on earbuds or laptop speakers. Any commercial listening devices are not good for studio listening. Studio headphones, or better yet, Studio monitors (Nearfeild monitors) have a flat frequency response and give you a better idea of what the song actually sounds like.

  • @DJyorkei
    @DJyorkei 12 років тому

    all depends on if that makes your vocals sound good. I'm sure it's a whole lot better then the natural garage sound, though you definitely don't want to have a completely dry recording of anything(you can if you want up to you). the best thing to think about when recording is, the sound needs "space"

    Hi, i compose songs on the piano and i sing too but i want to make a song with a Recording & Editing software. I've watched tutorials from different recording & editing softwares like cubase, but i understand just a little bit. For example i don't understand how they put in white noises etc. So i'm just a beginner which software should i use?

    • @beetlebrows
      @beetlebrows 11 років тому +1

      If you're a beginner you should try out the free software Audacity. Because it's free and you can familiarize yourself with the basics. It's not as good but it gets the job done for me as an amateur recorded.Those other programs get pretty pricey.

    • @antiHUMANDesigns
      @antiHUMANDesigns 11 років тому

      Cockos "Reaper" is really, really good. And it's really cheap, too. I've tried pretty much all of them, including Logic and ProTools (wich are both really good, and I'd use Logic if they still made it for PC), but Reaper is very modern and good, and you can't beat the price, really.

    • @TVGstudio1
      @TVGstudio1 11 років тому

      Well, we the Solitone TEAM has found that softwares are more or less O.K. 99%, if there is no extrem signal routing. The hardware is really week. By now we didn't found any which was able provide the distorsionless signaltramsmission! So, therefore you do not have to waste lot of money to buy expansive unites. The problem is more complex to explain shortly. If you are interested in further you can see us and contact us at: facebook.com/pages/Solitone/746990461977743

    • @antiHUMANDesigns
      @antiHUMANDesigns 11 років тому

      TVGstudio1 You really can't get 100% distortion free hardware. But expensive hardware comes closer, and also make better use of the bit depth when encoding the sound, and when decoding it.
      I have an Apogee Trak2 as my main preamp and A/D converter, and it's really, really good. But it also costs about $5000.
      Keeping it distortion free is not what's most important. The most important thing still is whether the thing sounds goodo or not, and that's a judgement call.

    • @TVGstudio1
      @TVGstudio1 10 років тому

      antiHUMANDesigns Yes you are right! On the market there is no any hardware independently of price! What you say is only and only one unite a preamyp you have! Do you think , that you have 1 preamp is enough? What a bout a cable? The recorder? The AC? Just few questions! The sound starts at AC and ends at the speaker's driver! Our technology took 30 years to be developed. So now we can say that we do understand the whole audio chain story. Test us! We are ready! In the past 4 years when we had discussions with companies to sell this technology, all of them got feared. Why, you may ask? Because that is the end of the search! You have enreached the goal. It is not good for business! The big companies can't sell their shit! Just an expample. For us takes a week to upgrade a mic to be perfect. Also a small mixing console 1-2 weeks when it is useable. 7-8 days to upgrade a MAC or PC to be suitable for distorsionless audio. Speaker's drive: An absulutely new aproach we have to use to build a good driver! And so on. Well, today everyone wanna wing the F1 race with streetcar. This just will not happen! You can't fuck the nature's law, without punishment!
