Why This band is Awesome-
Each band member is a beast at what they do,
Chris is an amazing guitarist, Jeremy has an fantastic voice,
Daniel plays the crap out of his drum set, Andy is a crazy good bass player,
Mike's vocals are just ridiculously beastly, and James played the keyboard beautifully, and he also had amazing energy on stage.
Yeah, the three pronged triangle doesn't mean the crucifixion. The logo is the idol, like many have said. The baby, the goat, the food, the money, are all given as sacrifices to the Dead Throne; the concept Mike and the band were presenting with the whole album. "We've built the world on a Dead Throne." All our possessions, if not taken as idols, are given to the ultimate idol of our lives -- our own personal Dead Throne we worship instead of the true God. This, to me, was Mike's ideals.

Honestly, i loved Dead Throne a lot more than 8:18. Not to say it wasnt a good album, i just loved Dead Throne more. All the songs are just so good! Love you guys, keep doin you and remember, All Glory to God (including songs of Zombie Chaos).

A few of the guys were in high school together, and started practicing and playing together. Later on, they got Jeremy Depoyster, the guitarist and clean vocalist. He was the last member to join the band.
I still get chills from the iconography of this vid. It surprises me that their latest stuff is so cynical, when it is clear they were on fire during this time.
I rather this than, for example, Salt( their latest release) , and even if I'm not anymore on this comercial sounds , I have to admit that they still having a very personal sound

I've been listening to TDWP since Dear Love. Every album since Plagues has taken some time for me to get used to, but in the end I've come to realize that they just keep getting better and better. Even when When Roots Above and Branches Below came out I was skeptical. But like I said, it just took me a little time to hear what they were trying to do and the image they were trying to portray before I could understand that they are maturing and putting out great music in each album. I agree that TDWP is nothing like it was back in 2006, and thank god for that! I LOVE Plagues, but I'm happy that they haven't bee trying to recreate that success every time they put a new song out, because then I never would have been able to hear great songs like "Mammoth," "Wapakalypse," 8:18," "Martyrs," and "War". In all honesty, I don't listen to much hardcore music anymore. But I'm ALWAYS watching and waiting for great bands like ABR, BMTH, ADTR, and TDWP to come out with new material.
I'm really looking forward to their new album. I have no doubt in my mind that it will be fucking sick. TDWP fan forever! Keep making great music, guys.

2011, i was in high school. My older brother has a metalcore band. And he referred TDPW, Miss may i, Sleeping with sirens, Pierce the veil, memphis may fire,attac attack etc. even tho not every band i mention is metalcore, those band are amazing and always impressed me until today

I'm not even Christian but I think this is cool because it just goes to show that listening to a certain kind of music or dressing in a certain style doesn't mean you fit into a stereotype of that style. How many Christians have dismissed metal as "devil's music" over the years? This proved their assumptions are bullocks. It's not the musical style which makes a song evil, good, or whatever but the subject matter behind the song. Straight edge punks are another great example of this.

1:14 - Awesome set design, looking at it, its really only laminate flooring, a metal tubing welded logo on a stand, and reflective foam board hung on wooden walls with carriage bolts. Lit for the scene, you never could tell.
