Excellent review, brother, as always! The handcrafted version comes with thicker paper and three ribbons. However, there’s been problems with the goatskin cover pulling away from the text block. But what an amazing format, though. A text block worth rebinding into an heirloom Bible.
I have the navy blue and it is far and away my favorite bible. I love the "whiteness" of the paper combined with the boldness of both the black and red print. The only print I MAY like better than this Holman is the comfort print from TN. I tend to put my cross references right behind the verses if there is room. If there is not enough room, I put them in the gutter margin. I also put my chain references in the gutter margin and notes along the outside, top and bottom margins.
I’d rather have black letter for a wide margin. If your going to be highlighting that red can be an issue depending on what color highlighter. Still searching for a wide margin kjv without self pronouncing text
That's a great question. I would lean slightly in favor of the Thomas Nelson. But if my main focus was taking notes definitely the Holman. The Nelson font is bigger and the spacing is pretty good. I am also about to review the Cambridge Clarion so you may want to check that one out as well. It's one of the best single columns out there.
Hi.. Just a quick question... does this particular Holman KJV have the titles of the Psalms printed or have they deleted them... And I mean the original tites of the Psalms not 'headings'... Please do let me know... I once ordered an excellent Holman KJV Bible but it did not have the titles of the Psalms... Would like to know if this particular single column Wide Marding KJV Bible has the titles of the Psalms included... Thanks for all your help.... God bless.
@@thomaspaul3187 hey brother sorry, I was out of my state for a week and just got back. It does have the tittle headings for the Psalms from the Hebrew.
@@BibleFanatics thank you for writing back... Glad to know this particular edition does have the titles to the Psalms printed... that's good to know.. thanks again for all you do... God bless

That is sad to hear it's pulling away from the text block, but I agree with you what what text block!
@@BibleFanatics To me, this format provides the perfect “blank slate” for devotional, meditative reading, and for praying the scriptures.

That is awesome! I totally agree on the font it is a good one. But TN just barely nudges it out. Thank you for sharing your note system as well!
I own the navy leather touch version. One of my favorite bibles 😊
It is an underrated bible for sure!
Thanks for reviewing, this is a nice edition. If it were paragraph format, I'd buy several.
I agree! Although this layout it great for preaching. Maybe they will come out with one though it is in popular demand.

Does this have the same gsm as the premier collection in goat skin?
As far as I know yes it does. It is a thick paper.
