Follow Up on my NEW scooter bogging down.. I decided to inspect the intake system for airflow.. Factory did not bore out the air cleaner housing inlet properly. My poor scoot was trying to breath through a hole the diameter of a pencil. I enlarged the hole to match the size of the other passages in the air cleaner assembly and VOAILA! No more bogging down!

Oh yes! she is a totally different beast.. I can be more confident crossing busy intersections! @@VirberelloScooterTips NExt week, her first oil change! (500 KM / 300 Miles ) . Seems there is a point of confusion about units of milage pertaining to service intervals. I tracked down her original PGO motor scooter company service manual and it clearly says first oil change 500 (300 miles) KILOMETERS , but the american importer's service manual says 500 MILES (1500 km) . I am going for the metric service schedule . Better to spend money on extra oil and filters than to spend MORE money on replacing engine or , entire scooter . Hey! might be a nice bit to cover in a video?

Thanks for ur vids bro, I got my bike going again... I also ordered a new battery it's a mighty Max gel battery but it seems smaller than the lead acid one that I previously had. But it did work, I cleaned out my air filter the pod. Stuck the new battery in changed out the fuel filter And she fired right up. You are the best thank you so much for your knowledge.......❤

The main thing is the diagram is getting gas on it w.t.f. how. I've asked 3 people so far. One said if I had another carb no shit I wouldn't be asking you then Einstein. @@VirberelloScooterTips Hey, bud. I live in Arizona USA. A hot state. Any chance that heat could cause the carburator issue, because I have this problem, but only when it's hot. I can drive for days in the cold with no problem. When it's hot out and the engine is hot, it bogs down.
Great video and great advice as always. I had a 50cc trike. It would run ok for a while and start slowing down after 2-3 miles. Then it didn't want to start. It ended up having a stuck piston ring.

it can also be your vaccum fuel pump.. that was the case on my gilera runner sp 70cc. the pump could not deliver enogh fuel when i give it full gas so when i hit 40 km/t it just bogged i checkt everything and found out the pump was done..
The choke on my malaguti 2stroke broke, I tried to fix it made it worse, so now have it there jus to block the hole, but bogs down like lean bog, can you run with out the choke with block out over hole
my scooter its a 50cc piaggio zip it seems like when i open full throttle it loses power 3/4 gas its fine 2/4 and 1/4 its also fine only when i open full throtle its like its losing power do you know what it can be i havent done anything with the carb

Hello the filter in the video is for 150cc for a 1/4 hose I think it could work on your scooter but if you can find try to replace your fuel filter with the same filter you have at the moment

Hello there buddy thanks for another video but I kind of knew that I was going to have trouble finding a video on what's wrong with my moped because I've never had one to do what this current moped is doing and I've been riding mopeds for almost 20 years now and probably went through 10 or 15 within that time probably more and this is the first one that I've ever had to do what it is doing. My moped bogs down and Misses out only when I ride in the rain! And I wrote every one of my mopeds in the rain back and forth to work for years and years and in pouring rain and I've never had one to miss out or bog down like that and I cannot figure it out have you ever had one to do that? I had my first experience of my 125 moped bogging down this morning!! Was perfectly ok riding around town but soon as I went on an A road I opened the throttle and started losing power and engine cut out, waited 20 minutes and started so carried on riding and 5 minutes later happened again and wouldn’t start!!!!

Hello my friend brake cleaner is less strong and will not damage rubber hoses carb cleaner will give you the same effect but you could damage Rubber, Plastic Components, Paint , also Spraying carburetor cleaner on electrical components, such as wires and connectors, can cause damage or corrosion.

I changed the cdi in my 150cc moped to a performance one but after I tried to start my bike it lost all power out of nowhere then I switch back to the original CDI box, and there was still no power in the bike. Can you help

Thanks for this. I bought a 2006 Pagsta Regal Raptor DD50E2 and it runs uneven and dies in 4th gear after a while, slowly dies and just shuts off. I've had the carborator apart but it looks OK from what I can understand, but I noticed I don't have an fuel filter, instead the hose goes directly from the petcock to the carborator. And I also have an EGR on this bike, could this have something to do with it running bad? I checked the valves but they seem to be adjusted, unfortunately I don't have an manual for this bike and they are no longer in production so I just went for 0.05 on intake and 0.10 on exhaust as someone suggesed it to me. One strange thing though, the other day I ride the bike and turn the petcock in ON (downwards) and after a while it died so I put the petcock in OFF position (horizontal) and the bike started and ran perfectly! I was so surprised and thought I must have mistaken the petcock positions, but I guess it had enough gas in the carborator to run for a while? Maybe it got too much gas so the petcock could be faulty?

I've been fiddling with the carburator today and noticed that the petcock will leak gas even when it is turned off, I even emptied the carburator and managed to run the bike with the petcock turned off so I guess it's a good guess that the petcock might having something to do with the problems. I've unscrewed the petcock and one of the screws on the front side broke off when I tried to unscrew it, leaving half of it inside and impossible to get out, the screw on the other side however seems to be holding it together, at least on that side. I'll see if I can get hold of a suitable petcock and replace it, since there are no official spare parts for this bike I'll have to try my best and see if I can find something that fits, if I understand correctly I need to get one that has the same size bolt that screw on to the gas tank?
One thing that happened today was that when trying to set the idle/air screws I let the bike idle and after a while it started to raise the RPM rapidly and then shut off. This have also happened during ride that it made a sudden high RPM sound and then died, I guess it might have to do with the fuel running out or not getting enough fuel to the carburator.
Inside the float house I noticed when turning the carburator to the position where the float is touching the float needle it kind of stuck in that position and didn't go back when I turned it around, I had to poke it slightly with my finger to make it come loose.
I guess I can only focus on getting a new petcock as for now, hopefully it might the thing that will solve this problem but otherwise I guess I'll have to dig deeper into the carb or the other things you suggested.
I also watched a video where they stated that this kind of problem can occur if the spark plug is bad so maybe I should try and replace that one too in case the petcock won't solve it.

It's hard to find any information on this bike in general, I've tried contacting the manufacturer of this bike but without any luck. All I've come across so far is a Russian community which is problematic due to the language barrier, but luckily there is translation software and people are helpful and try to help, it's internet as it was intended I guess. :)
I had a 2006 Pagsta. Do you want to sell yours? As far as engine parts it's the same as the chinese dirt bikes. If you haven't replaced the carburetor and intake gaskets, i would start with that. I ended up putting a new gas tank on mine that came with a petcock. I also replaced the engine with a 125cc. I set my valve clearance at .0025-.003 for the intake and .003 -.004 for exhaust. If the rpm's rise on their own randomly it might be flooding.
Hello! I managed to get it running real good, it turned out it was the valves all along.. The thing is I checked them first and they seemed fine but somehow I must have messed up because when I checked again after a lot of hassle and troubleshooting I noticed the exhaust valve was completely shut. After adjusting it the bike ran just like it should. I used the 0.05 for intake and 0.10 for exhaust but I don't know if those are manufacturer specs, I don't own a manual for it so it was just what someone told me to go with. I am so happy for this bike really, It's so much fun and the previous owner had cut the exhaust/muffler at the middle and removed the inside and drilled some holes through it so it sounds really amazing. All I am looking for now is a standard handle for it since it came with one of those straight/t-bar handles which I personally don't like that much. I can only hope that they someday will re-start the production of these bikes again, it would be awesome.@@thelagmeister
@@LUNARIAproject Well I'm glad you got it goin. I really miss my Pagsta. I posted a few videos of mine on my channel and the videos are all I have left of it. I bought mine out of someone's backyard for $200 with a bad engine. I replaced everything on the bike with new parts. Literally the same day I put the finishing touches on it some lady ran the bike over with her pickup truck. I would really like to find another one to buy but I can't find one. I really don't know why they stopped making these , but they should start making them again.

@@VirberelloScooterTips Oh, I totally forgot, but my 50cc Baotian scooter struggles to stay on full throttle and cant go past 30kmh without "booing" and losing power, and once again picks some speed and again slows down, but it certainly isn't the carburetor or fuel "system's" fault I have tried working carb from my friend and the same issue happened also nothing wrong with the fuel lines. Could it be the magneto or some wire issue because I cant figure it out. Also one indication of an eletrical issue is that when driving, the front light is sometimes bright sometimes not and driving speed doesnt matter. I have read every Finnish scooter article I could find but no one has had the same problem. (Forgot to mention that the intake manifold, sparkplug, coil cord and cdi are all brand new and also the right one's) +Plus booing is bad word for describing the issue it sounds like the spark dissapears completely sometimes and then comes back again. Or could the problem be blocked exhaust?

Hello try to check the fuel line, fuel filter and try to see if the lower part of your fuel tank is dirty that can give you an idea if you have problem with fuel flow
