This was probably the most difficult travel day we've had thus far. We traveled from Brussels - Charleroi Airport in Belgium in route to Banja Luka, Bosnia & man was this journey eventful. Come along!
We started the day by attempting to call an Uber in order to help with Hannah's foot. This was a bit of a fail since we were fairly far away from our bus station & Uber's were almost $100 at that time. So we made the tough decision to take the subway. The subway in Brussels is pretty fantastic so we thought it wouldn't be too difficult to just use it. We made the walk to the station and finished our first leg with no problems. We quickly learned that our day was going to be much more difficult than we thought when we saw that our connection wasn't working. At all. We walked out of the bus station and THANKFULLY we were able to get an Uber.
We were operating on a pretty tight schedule so getting to the bus station was still a difficult task once we'd gotten our Uber. The driver didn't follow the GPS and added another 10 minutes to our time which REALLY stressed us out, but thankfully we were able to make it to the bus station just as it was getting ready to head to the airport.
The Charleroi Airport isn't particularly close to Brussels. It's about a 40 minute bus ride from the center of town to the departures so this gave us a bit of time to gameplan for what was next. We arrived at the airport and made our way to the check-in counter as quickly as we could. We got our tickets and made our way through security through the Ryanair Fast Track line (this was such a life saver as the regular line was REALLY long).
After security, we had a bit of time so we went to the lounge. It was very simple but provided a great opportunity to grab some waters and snacks before our flight. After leaving the lounge we made our way to the gate, but not before getting stamped out of customs first. This line was also EXTREMELY long, and we highly recommend getting there much earlier than your flight (unlike us LOL). We got very lucky as the security guard saw Hannah's ankle and allowed us to go through the side. This was another little life saver that really helped our day. Once through, we were ready to fly!
Flying to Banja Luka took about an hour and a half and provided some of THE BEST views of the Alps. We flew over Zurich and couldn't believe the beauty we were seeing. The flight was smooth and before we knew it we were landing in Banja Luka! The airport in Banja Luka is VERY small, but that just meant we would be making it through customs quickly LOL. We went through, met our Airbnb host Pavle, and FINALLY got to relax a bit once we settled into our Airbnb.

OMG! Flixbus? Ryanair? Those two companies are on my S..t list! Albeit all your problems on that day, you guys are so easy going, it seems like nothing bothers you, that is a fantastic outlook in life, you are a great couple and it shows that you, Trey, are a good loving, caring husband to Hannah. This warms my heart. Take good care of her and soon she will be dancing and jumping around like in your other videos. Everything will be back to normal in no time!
🤣🤣🤣 It was quite the journey for sure!! I'll say this, they certainly didn't make it easy for us this time LOL. We're just thankful to arrive on time and in relatively one piece!!! Thankfully the ankle has healed up very well and she was jumping off a dock today and into the water so we're in good spirits!! Thanks so much for watching Eddy!!!!

Always have a back up plan, and back up batteries for the camera.Glad your plans didn't get that much effected. Buy an freeze spray for swollen ankle .Chin up .😀😀😀
Oh FOR SURE!! We got the freeze spray immediately after the ankle sprain so that helped, along with the bags of frozen peas😂 we're just glad we made it on the flight!! LOL

We're doing well!! We were down for a few days but definitely not out!! This travel day was absolutely brutal, but I'm just thankful we arrived in Banja Luka. The next flight that we could've taken to get there was in another week🤣 you're going to LOVE seeing Bosnia!!!!

This video was a nail biter! Geez! Hannah I think you need a hover round. But seriously I hope your ankle is doing better! I know how hard it is. I stepped in a hole once and thought my ankle was sprang. But it was actually broken. And I went weeks before I went to the doctor and found out it was broke. Lol I hope your travel days get better!
Thank you so much Eric!!! This day was NUTS!! That was our worst fear initially. We were terrified it was broken, but thankfully the doctor at the restaurant that examined her ruled that out. We feel fortunate in a way that it wasn't worse. The ankle's gotten much better and she's now up and at em again, which is good because Bosnia is INCREDIBLE! Can't wait to show you this place (as well as another travel day that was...nervewracking LOL)

@@ProbablyLost I have travelled a good deal in Europe usually using an Interrail ticket and certainly Bosnia is on my list for 2023 to have a visit so I am always looking at a variety of UA-cam videos by a number of contributors! Glad you enjoyed and I might go there myself this year who knows.
