    I love it when these guys tell you to wait 10 more minutes.... You just know there's nothing real behind that number.

      True

      What's funny is that has to be his default answer because he said it no less than 5 times🤣 And TECHNICALLY, a bus arrived about every 10 minutes but it was just never ours LOL

    Hoooray for the packed lunches.. The missus is so calm and composed.. You go direct you wait at the at station.Go indirect you wait at the at station.Lot of waiting.The good came of it was advice for the fellow travelers.Be safe and blend in with locals. 😀😀😀

      The packed lunches were by far the things that saved us that day. We'd have been much more irritable with empty stomachs🤣 We definitely try to blend in as much as possible but we were definitely sticking out at this bus stop. There just was nobody traveling through there. And with the guy walking through and pretty much being up to no good, we figured the smartest thing to do was to just hide out indoors😅 Thanks so much for watching!!!!

    The buses in Bosnia can be a little wild! Haley had a full coach bus pull off the side of the road because the bathroom on board didn't work!

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  2 роки тому +1

      INCREDIBLE🤣 We've literally only had one bus bathroom work since we began traveling and it was REALLY gross. We've learned that if we travel by bus then 99% of the time we just don't drink or eat for as long as humanly possible in order to avoid the situation entirely😂 thanks so much for watching the vlog!!

      Thank you so much Jan!!! It definitely wasn't an easy moment, but we knew we'd laugh about it at some point. That's honestly what kept us sane in the moment🤣

    When in Sarajevo dont forget the western part of the city (Ilidža) because a lot of ppl dont know that it also belongs to Sarajevo. This is because it is administratively different managed for practical reasons, but in fact it is still one and the same city (also its written wrong on google😂)
    There you can find the former residence of Franz Ferdinand and his people, as well as Sarajevo's most famous restaurant Brajlovic.
    You just have to get on the tram. Ilidža is the final stop.

      Man I wish that we could've seen this while we were in Sarajevo (our vlogs are normally two-ish locations behind where we are in real time). These are all great recommendations. One thing that we didn't get to do that we really wanted to make it to was the Sarajevo Tunnel Museum. Most of what we did was centered around the center of the city, mostly because we weren't able to figure out the local transit🤣. Our video on Sarajevo will be posted on Saturday so check that out & let us know what you think, as well as any other recommendations you'd have! Thanks so much for watching this Ase!

    7:12 lol that was a bus from my hometown Bugojno to Sarajevo. So sorry for you guys having such hard time catching the bus to Sarajevo. What a nice channel you’ve got.

      Thank you so much for the kind words!! It definitely was a bit nervy there for a second, but we knew we'd end up making it to Sarajevo & that it'd be something we'd laugh about in the future, which we definitely do all the time!🤣 Thanks so much for watching our vlog & for your support. It's so appreciated!!

    Busses? Bah HumBUS! LOL ... Glad to see everything working out anyway and you arrived at your destination. Beautiful scenery by the way. Bosnia looks beautiful. Some bus drivers are indeed nice people but not many according to my past experiences. Your videos are always fascinating, I love them!

      Eddy, Hannah absolutely died laughing when I told her you said Bah HumBus🤣 Especially since when I read it, we were on a bus in that moment that was not going...great😂 Bosnia is truly breathtaking. We took a train from Sarajevo to Mostar and it's unquestionably the most beautiful transportation I've ever taken. I can't wait for you to see it. Thank you so much for your support and kind words. It means the world to us!!!!

      Thank you so much Eric!!! I think the thing we're learning is to just keep the camera on during the difficult moments too. For example when we were in Bruges, I REALLY regretting not getting anything on camera from when things went wrong at the restaurant until we'd gotten back on the train. The struggle & difficult moments are all part of the journey/story, so I wanted to make sure we talked through our emotions when we were stranded at the bus station. It gives you guys a look at us during crisis management mode too🤣 Thanks so much for watching & being such an awesome friend to us!!

    Great content guys. I am your new follower, I am from Banja Luka city. I remember as a child I used the same bus with my mom to visit my grandparents who lived in Bugojno at that time, it was such an adventure 😍😂. Don't sit in the back , it's windy and bumpy, and that bus later stops at the each station, new people enter at the end of the journey, sometimes cray teens and they like to sit in the back... Anyways we never had a problem. I was also scare going trough canyon, when I was younger I would threw up.Younger people know English. No worries. Good luck. And welcome again in the future.🤗

      That's so awesome!! That drive is unquestionably one of the most beautiful drives we've been on in our lives. We kept our eyes on the river & mountains throughout the entire ride, even after we started feeling a little under the weather😂 I feel like sitting in the back of the bus was going to be a learning experience for us eventually. I'm just glad the journey was only a couple of hours! Thank you so much for the kind words & thanks so much for watching our vlog! We loved our time there!

    I know I am now late but you have plenty direct buses from Banja Luka to Sarajevo. To be fair most of them are for the Serbian part of Sarajevo,Eastern Sarajevo, but there should be at least 2 a day that go to the federal part of Sarajevo.

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  2 роки тому

      Thank you very much for the insight Nikola! We saw that there were some options for direct routes but they were all really early in the morning or really late in the afternoon which meant we would've been sitting in coffee shops waiting for time to pass in either location. But hindsight being 20/20, we'd 100% rather done that! It made for a great story though LOL. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch our video!!

      @@ProbablyLost Also I don't know who your BnB owner was, but I own a hostel there and I always have a brief chat with my customers about where to go, how to get there and stuff. I guess your host wasn't that communicative, but always ask locals, expecially in developing or poor countries. To avoid the experiences you incountered here, which made you both stronger. 🤣 Cheers from Banja Luka

    You should have stopped in Jajce on the way to Donji Vakuf, it's one of the nicest places in the country, historically a very important city in Bosnia's history and there are beautiful waterfalls worth seeing. Nothing against Donji Vakuf but it's just a small rural town with nothing to do there.
    Overall though thanks for enjoying our country and not being dicks about unexpected events, delays etc.

    Buses suck in the Balkans, it's probably the worst way to experience the region, so sorry you guys had to go through all this but in the end, you have a really interesting experience to look back on. Not many Americans can say they went on a bus road trip across Bosnia! :)

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Рік тому +1

      That's one of the most authentic ways to experience the country though! The buses were definitely a little bit nervy at times but man, we've got so many memories from those buses that we will NEVER forget🤣 Hopefully though next time we're in the region, we'll be able to find an affordable rental car or something LOL!!

    I was losing my s**t over 15 min delay for my train destination from Munich to Nurnberg. So my friend who's traveling with me asked me: Hey where you been back home to Bosnia latley?
    On which I aplied: No, not in the last 3 years. Why you asking?
